Newsweek Journalist Resigns, OPCW Story Suppressed: Time to Learn NewSpeak?

Story by Caitlin Johnstone (hat tip by CCRider)

A Newsweek journalist has resigned after the publication reportedly suppressed his story about the ever-growing OPCW scandal, the revelation of immensely significant plot holes in the establishment Syria narrative that you can update yourself on by watching this short seven-minute video or this more detailed video here.

“Yesterday I resigned from Newsweek after my attempts to publish newsworthy revelations about the leaked OPCW letter were refused for no valid reason,” journalist Tareq Haddad reported today via Twitter.

“I have collected evidence of how they suppressed the story in addition to evidence from another case where info inconvenient to US government was removed, though it was factually correct,” Haddad said. “I plan on publishing these details in full shortly. However, after asking my editors for comment, as is journalistic practice, I received an email reminding me of confidentiality clauses in my contract. I.e. I was threatened with legal action.”

Thanks MG. The narration engineers are reeling over this story. Their trick is to run cover for false flags and when they get questioned, wait them down the memory hole before facts get in the way. Think of the USS Liberty. But we now have communication options those poor guys didn’t. Here there is (growing) evidence to prove the Douma attack was a false flag and it’s verifiable and on the record and the whole world is watching. Indulge yourself with this impeachment nonsense if you like but, like the Epstein case don’t let the issue pass.

The lilliputians have made a big score.

I actually went to Caitlin’s site and provided a linkback, so hoping if someone shows, the newbie biters will lay off.

I think this is the sort of thing that could spark a revoluton. See the comment from Bill Rice Jr. I copied over below…

Some interesting proposals.

Chemical weapons might eventually become the cause of “manmade climate change.” We could initiate a war against Chemical Terrorism.

Are you referring to chemtrails when you write “manmade climate change” ?
I have been wondering about the same thing .

There are a few good journalists on the left – the ones who don’t parrot the Deep State lies. Glenn Greenwald, Aaron Mate, Max Blumenthal, Caitlin Johnstone, Matt Taibbi. I may disagree with most of what they believe, but they give it to you straight.

I’ll have to start following this Tarreq Haddad. Maybe DanCohen3000 as well.

Greenwald and his husband have been brave in exposing Bolsonaro. I wish Bolsonaro were just conservative, but he seems connected to crime and violence.

I think we are all going to have to start making a concerted effort to seek out and support truthtellers. It is just so damn hard to tell which is which and which are witches.

But they cannot possibly control all the bloggers. That is why there is so much effort to CONTROL the internet.

Am hoping the idea of interconnecting blogs … a sort of database architecture for blogspeak.

If I can think it… some rocket scientist should be able to code it.

Business as usual for the American Empire. But at least Trump was smart enough to not fall for this and respond by launching cruise missiles at Syria. Oh wait … he did fall for it. Never mind. What are the Trumptards going to do now? Their lists of Trump’s accomplishments usually include the fact that he launched cruise missiles at Syria.

I realize the topic is a bit “Ho Hum” because we KNOW the news media are liars. So, what’s the big deal about a Journalist resigning?

I visited Caitlin’s page, taking a look at comments there and think this one so interesting, I brought it over here for CCRider and others to read and comment upon. Since I posted a link there, I hope Bill Rice Jr follows it to comment himself.

I think a discussion line between Caitlin’s blog and TBP has potential. Let’s see… Bill?

Bill Rice Jr. / December 8, 2019

The MSM is NOT going to change.

The “Fourth Estate” is beyond corruption and has obviously been co-opted by the Deep State. The “swamp critters” and politicians are certainly not going to change or leave.

Given this, the only way to change the Status Quo is for someone to create a big-time investigative news organization that DOES pursue and publish all of the HUNDREDS of stories that are effectively “off limits” to investigation.

I’m not talking about one person working by himself or herself. I’m talking about an organization with 30 to 35 full-time investigative reporters, plus editors and researchers – They can be salaried, freelance, full-time some part-time – but they need to be under one umbrella and produce stories that will have mass-market appeal (that cannot be ignored).

Such an organization can also align itself with a network of Caitlin’s and citizen journalists around the world (that is, use their tips, publish their pieces, pay them for work, etc.)

This organization would have a monopoly on hundreds of blockbuster stories. It needs to be non-ideological – equally offend/shock/challenge the left and the right. It needs to create a mass audience and routinely shame these so-called “independent journalism” organizations.

I think this would happen. I think it would and could make money (but if you had enough backers, making $ would not be the sole reason for such an operation).

Exposing all the ways the “mainstream press” spikes and ignores real stories would be one of the most fruitful beats of this organization. The key is that the organization have deep-pockets, can hang around for at least several years, and produces stories that get the attention of the typical Joe.

The politicians WILL respond to average voters (out of self interest) and average voters will “get” a real story if it is presented convincingly enough to them. Anyway, if the status-quo corrupt system is going to be changed, this WILL require “watchdog” journalism. But the real “watchdog journalism” we are getting today is niche and too easily ignored.

The corrupt KNOW they are not going to be asked hard questions from the MSM. Create a real investigative news organization that they could NOT “blow off.”

Question to Caitlin, as inspiring and as great as she is: Do these people and organizations return your calls and emails? They would HAVE to (or would be much more likely to do this) if you worked for or with an organization like I envision.

Again: The politicians aren’t going to do it. If the politicians or prosecutors are going to act in a sane way – they have to be prodded to do this. They certainly are not being prodded by today’s co-opted MSM. As always, if you want a job done right – do it yourself. If Newsweek or The New York Times or CNN aren’t doing it right, start an organization that will. And there’s damn sure a “market opportunity” here.

Now if someone just had the guts to fill it … and do it.

(I added paragraph returns, Bill. TBP folks like them.)

Good comment by Bill Rice Jr. Actually the Fourth Estate has not been co-opted by the Deep State, the higher levels of the MSM are PART of the Deep State, especially the NY Times and the Washington Post which have been the de facto official Deep State propaganda outlets for a long, long time. Many other MSM outlets like CNN are not far behind.

But there isn’t any need create a new news organization to ferret out the truth. In almost all cases the truth is already out there somewhere in the alternative media. The task is to figure out a way to sort out the truth from the fiction in the alternative media, because there is a lot of fiction in the alternative media as well as the truth. (There isn’t any need to try to sort out the truth from the fiction in the MSM because it is almost all lies or half-truths, or else they simply don’t report it at all as is the case with this subject here.) The other task is to figure out a way to deprogram the clueless sheeple who get their news from the MSM. It doesn’t do much good to report the truth if the majority of the sheeple continue to get their news from the MSM.

As for the first task of sorting the truth from fiction in the alternative media, I just have a list of the sites and authors that I trust and have a proven track record. (I can give you my list if you are interested.) And I assign an approximate rating to each source to reflect its relative accuracy, because the sources are not all equally accurate, and even the best sources sometimes make mistakes. Your list probably won’t be the same as mine, but if you consult enough people you trust, and read (or listen to) these sources for yourself you should be able to come up with a fairly good list. Apparently you trust Caitlin Johnstone, and I also read her posts sometimes. I don’t agree with everything she says, especially on subjects like climate change, but she is right on a lot of stuff.

As for the second task of deprogramming the sheeple, that is a tough one. I have been pondering that one off and on for a very long time. I don’t think there is any silver bullet that will work. It has taken several generations of indoctrination in the government indoctrination centers (public schools) and lies by the government and the MSM to dumb down the general public to the level they are at now. There is no way to fix the problem that doesn’t include as a minimum eliminating all public schools, and that obviously isn’t going to ever happen, so basically we are stuck.

Thanks…

Deprogramming is difficult because the “reprogramming” is continually ongoing.

I think the only way the nonsense stops is for someone to rip the duct tape off and EAT THE BANANA.

I have a feeling, David (and Bill Rice Jr) that both of you are the types who know how to rip off the duct tape and eat the banana.

That needs to be a modern replacement for the Emperor’s New Clothes parable.

Rip off the Duct Tape and Eat the Banana!

Because the sheeple need a new way of looking at the ridiculous way they act, speak and dress.

They have all been shorn of their liberty and freedom. They are also naked while the Emeror sells them bananas and brainwashes their children.

Rip off the Duct Tape and Eat the Banana!

This goes on at probably ever MSM organization, every week if not day. NEEDED: Many more “whistleblowers” in the press coming forward and revealing all the stories that don’t fit the meme that are being spiked and suppressed (and that cannot be pursued by reporters).

… Ironically, there are a lot of great stories out there that could show all the great stories that have been deemed “off limits.” These press organizations – and the way they don’t cover certain stories – are a big part of the bigger story. Look at OPCW, but also Epstein coverage, Assange coverage, Skripal coverage, coverage of the columnist murdered upon orders of the Saudi prince, etc …

Marvin / December 8, 2019

One feature of this uber-capitalist world is that the opponents of humanity have tons of money. Thus, they can usually buy most things.
Take an ‘alternate news’ site that is always struggling for money. Suddenly, someone offers them money as a grant or donation. There might not be any strings attached …. at first. But then, once the organization is addicted to their money, they start to lean on them.
Example …. take a typical lefty activists who’s online. They are trying to do this on top of the other two jobs that this Oligarch economy requires to survive. Then, someone comes along and offers them a Million Dollars, with more money that can follow? To Oligarchs who control billions and trillions, that’s chicken feed. But its enough to buy most people who live in this Oligarch’s world where money is required for basic survival.
———–
If I look back at the ‘lefty’ sites I used to follow 20 or 30 years ago, all of them have obviously since been bought. The Nation and Democracy Now! both fit that bill, and are now loyal to the Democratic Party where before they were radical.
————–
Just saying that we should always look very carefully at anyone, and not go on past records. We live in a world where Oligarchs have obscene amounts of money and thus can buy most people and most things.

Agreed: any truth-telling “organization with 30 to 35 full-time investigative reporters, plus editors and researchers” would be bribed-away swiftly. And even if the organization didn’t take the bribe at first, how could you be certain it remained uncompromised forever?

Okay, Hank… I’m NOT a news junky but I know when Newsweek hands a threat of legal action to a reporter over something he’s tried to report, it looks like prior restraint, especially when it is about evidence supporting a false flag involving chemical weapons, I would at least search the term.

Look what popped up for me…
