I admit I find this topic intriguing, now that Allan Weisbecker’s obsession with the Mandela Effect led to my discovery that no lions lay down with any lambs in the King James Bible. Not one. With Wolves and Bullocks, but no Lambs.
I had mentioned to Allan that I might share this here and he was delighted. He’s really not much for interactive discussion and deletes comments he disagrees with (which is HIS right as blog owner/researcher), but he does like to reach a wider audience and see the reaction.
So, if anyone thinks it worth a posting, please elevate it. Otherwise?
Review at least the comparison video of the two versions of Ike’s speech: one with stutter and one without.
Perhaps the stutter was edited out or there was a glitch in a copying (probably actual TAPE that required start/stop like the old recorder my father used), however, why are both versions found in a variety of venues?
I am linking this comment to Allan’s blog, where I hope he will jump in with additional observations from his research on this topic.

Also, one of our treasured authors here supports the belief that Flat Earth is not a myth, but a choreographed illusion. (Am taking some literary license.) He also suspects the Apollo 11 landing was also choreographed and a product of Hollywood, where you were a film EDITOR.

Hi Maggie, and thanks for sharing my stuff, although I don’t know where you got the idea that I was involved in the Apollo hoax… Flat earth is a psyop meant to divide us, distract us, and to find out how many people they can get to believe true, utter bull shit. I recall some libertarian sci-fi story from the 1990’s where earth was finally liberated from all government tyranny and the newly freed libertarian peoples decided to eliminate all governments on all other planets. to raise money for any given operation they’d have huge concerts where people would be inspired to donate to the cause. I suppose this could take the place of a mic ….

well complete and utter defeat is one way to stop it. of course given that most of the rest of the world is tribal and views warfare as genocide by other means, that option is a bit rough on the loser. another option is total absolute victory over everything and everyone else (like the romans did – kill everyone who resists in any way and destroy all opposing governments and make citizens of those who cooperate), but that option really isn’t available to a “christian” west. so … dunno, looks like it can’t be stopped. the best case scenario is everything collapses across the world all at once, keeping everyone equal. but it’s a long ways down ….

I posted a comment above, hoping AW will pop in and chat a bit about his research on the topic. He was a film editor in Hollywood with many contacts throughought (I know but I like it now that I’ve seen it) the industry and, while he is a bit out there driving around in his old RV and uploading his blog posts with his dog, he claims to KNOW about the filming of some of the nasa stuff. I tend to believe him, though I do wish he would archive the comments he deletes as being off topic. Or, lol… perhaps now that I’ve shared How to Screenshot there, others will.
Not causing too much trubble… just hoping if he DOES show up, you will listen to anything he offers (unless it is links to his blog posts which are interesting but even I admire his ability to ramble off topic).
By the way, I have completed the very first rough draft of “For Real (Women) Only: Is the Savage Love Sweeter? Or was the Flower burned by the Flame?” Tentatively titilating titular title, as some might say. The “draft” is 7,000 words. Without illustrations. And you know I love my illustrations, don’t you?
It is time to start the whittling, which is where the masterpiece emerges from the hunk of wood.
Do me a favor. Ask your very savvy wife if she “gets” the title? Which question elicits the most (or least) response? If she knows the genre and titles, did she read them?
Maggie, I don’t delete comments I’disagree with’ — where did you get that idea? From reading comments from people who do 10 comments on one post, most of which have nothing to do with the post? Plus when I KNOW I’m dealing with a bot or a mole, I delete them as a service to the real people who read my stuff.
And again, where did you get the idea that I was an editor in H-wood? I was a screen writer and a book author. Period. Wrote for the old Miami Vice show, among others and have a feature film credit.
If you want to help with the Mandela Effect research you can ask your subscribers what they remember about that speech. Do they remember the stutter or no stutter. I believe the stutter is new: I have seen that clip scores of times over the years and never heard a stutter until a couple weeks ago. The issue is not whether someone edited the clip. The issue is whether anyone recalls the stutter before seeing/hearing it now.
I think a lot of the folks who remember it without stutter just accept that it has been cleaned up and edited for presentation. Pointing out that it was live doesn’t help because it is just like on your blog; their viewpoint is set and they won’t step aside to consider whether they heard the stutter before or just think they did not.
It is a terrifically difficult concept to grasp and I appreciate your trying.
