Hey all, I had been meaning to submit an article to the blog through HSF for a while now. Him and I are 1980s-era Army vets about 10 years apart in age. We live in the glorious Maple Syrup belt of the Live Free or Die State of Emergency. Be aware, NH declared its SOE late yesterday afternoon 3/26/20 officially. So by way of introduction, HSF and I determined we both had multiple, stone-cold brushes with death while working in active-duty, U.S. Army combat units.
The military is no joke, especially when you apply yourself overseas. I had been meaning to submit my 2020 Mormon Prophecy article regarding the current state of affairs, but that can wait a bit. “Real life” has intruded and I must offer up this story of sorts. It was written in haste, so just know that.
Today. Two weeks ago. On March 13th, around 3:45 pm I was shipped off to MEDICAL SOLITARY in the county lockup just as the State of Emergency was declared. I was detained overnight on a non-violent misdemeanor charge for which arrest was not possible by state statues. That overnight in jail as guest of the dirty Commonwealth turned into 12 glorious days in Corona-County Jail lockdown. As of Monday morning 3-16-2020, American State civil, criminal, and probate courts are mostly closed or working at perhaps 20% capacity with video and telephone hearings!
I missed everything and was released Wednesday evening, about 36 hours ago. Yes, I was medical solitary jail, a.k.a. the new quarantine gulag. Attention lawyers; I was among the lucky ones! I made bail by video arraignment because the State lost their detention hearing against me. I suffered in total, 12 days of bogus detention. There were men in there for 8+ days with no arraignment as I exited on Wednesday afternoon!
Yours truly was released after spending 12 days in deep, dark places known to harbor MRSA, TB, Strep, Hep, Hpv, Stds, plague, lice, scabies, and Lord-knows what else. No jury. No health exam or temperature-taking. Legally, none of the statutory minimums were met in any way to detain me, but again, I was better off than many people stuck in the Corona-Legal Gulag.
Believe me, I spent my last 6 of the 12 days on the new quarantine block of a large suburban jail. Peroxide cleaner was available and I spontaneously and quite religiously cleaned all surfaces like a madman. The first two days, the block was just 8 men but it grew to 25 out of 40 maximum when I exited stage left. Half of the population had weakened immune systems from drugs and health problems. I knew I had to GTFO.
It was awful not having my 1981 Book of Mormon, but I retained my dignity and rode it out. Being locked in a 8×10 room with a view of the nurses station for nearly a week was fun for the first few days, until my Monday hearing turned into a Wednesday hearing and it then took a week to post a cash bail.

This is not a drill and I have been in much darker places. I have experienced several medical scrapes with death and nearly got blown up on three occasions with Field Artillery in the line of duty. I don’t shy away from death, dismemberment, or disease. A near fatal Epstein-Barr virus infection hammered at age 35 worse than high explosives did at age 20. Severe blood poisoning for a month. Trust me when I say Epstein-Barr can strike you down in agony far worse than any Covid-19 infection could possibly dream of. EBV can thrash you dead. I held out five weeks and lived.
So, sure I could bore the reader with more details of Corona Gulag, however I will simply say with God as my witness, people are having their lives ruined with No Arraignment for 8+ days over the most petty warrants and victim-less crimes one could imagine.

The Courts are in absolute shambles justice is at a standstill. Court corruption is epic in the United States and restraining orders, divorces, and child custody cases make up a billion dollar industry in nearly every state. The corruption becomes more apparent as the legal gravy-train grinds to a halt. It will only gets worse. Attention lawyers, do I still have your ear?
Better yet, U.S. Department of Justice; Please lower the racketeering LEGAL BOOM on unbelievably corrupt Blue States courts starting with NYC, Massachusetts, and California, just for starters. The anti-child, anti-men antics in our courts must end. The destruction the family and children by legal means must end. Perhaps a direct appeal to God and a hearing with Jesus is all one has left in the end.

Now I want to know what made you get locked up. My friend got a DUI years back and spent six months in the county jail. Thirty guys with one nasty toilet, they brought drunks in who puked. Hearing about it was about as close as I ever want to get to going to jail.
Non-payment of support and then getting picked up driving on a suspended license.
That’s my guess.
Buddy of mine was ordered to pay alimony of $3,000 month and child support of $1,550 x 3 monthly. Lost his job asked for reprieve the judge refused. No income, went thru his entire 401k in 2 years back in 2008-2010. Courts are corrupt. You cannot pay what you do not have. Assholes, all of them.
The legal system is as corrupt as it gets. Hillary walks and you spend time for some more or less minor BS.
Lady Justice isn’t blind, just corrupt. I think last years take was $32 billion in civil forefiture. Fuckin’ A…..

well I’ve been driving 30 years now and I’ve never gotten a ticket, much less been locked up.
(‘course, when I’m on the highway driving the speed limit, people behind me do get really mad. hysterically mad. disturbingly mad. so there’s that consequence ….)

I tell ya, fully .05 of the right consists of people who have blown a mental/emotional gasket over traffic and drug laws. they just can’t get over it. it’s like the first day they got ahold of a car and were weaving down the road puffing on their blunt they got pulled over and busted, ruining their big “I’m an adult now!” debut, and they’ve been murderously mad at the world and want all police dead ever since.
Wouldn’t lay blame BB, as in Ohio walking a tiger without a leash on main street is against the law, still on the books since 1894.
Watch the asset forfeitures skyrockets with all those that took cash out thinking this pandemic will cause bank failures, when they try and redeposit at the same bank with the same manager. I get a stamp, a receipt the branch managers card and brought her flowers to remember me by. I drained their safe that day….

mixed emotions because i’m angry that you got locked up for what is most likely (from an outsider’s assumption) a bogus “charge”, but on the other hand i love your writing style/how you described the situation.

with that being said, i have to agree with the shinman: There is no need, in fact i believe it’s an absolute mistake, to add to the Word of God. the Word alone is altogether sufficient.

Regarding, the Morman stuff. If you post it here it will be subject to severe scrutiny to the point you may desire to defend your beliefs. And you won’t be able to rationally defend Mormanism either historically or theologically. So just understand this fully before you post and know it won’t be personal.

look, in a small town, justice is served by favoritism, plane as that. piss off the wrong person, you is getting arrested, and usually they try to grab you on Friday eve, cause they know there are no bail hearings until Monday at the earliest (I know all of this from personal exp)
All that has to happen is someone bending the ear of someone else, who knows LEO, and you can be in the clink. Then the courts have you, innocent or not, the courts have you.
it is a brutal system, designed by the haves, to punish the have nots, in case you have not realized this yet.
The best thing you can do, is have an escape plane to keep from getting arrested.
I told the sheriff who wanted me on Friday, to get a warrant, this gave me time to get on the dirt bike and escape the county, they had cars waiting on all the streets, while they were trying to get the warrant, but, I fled through the woods, and they really did not like that. They upped all the charges by Monday, but I was able to turn myself in, and get bail the same day.
and after 3 months of court, I won, because they broke the law, in pursing a personal vendetta.

22 glad you are ok and back. If I read between the lines, the key is playing their game better than them and always one step ahead. However, know when the game is over so you can be your normal self. Do not let it permanently change you.
