The tragic killings of Black Americans like George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, and Ahmed Arbery, the false report about Christian Cooper, and too many daily incidents, reflect a society that remains divided by racism and hate. Through higher education, we hope to contribute to a society that is free of the fear and misunderstanding that underlies the racial prejudices and the hatred. We know that these actions create a significant hurdle that our students of color face in their pursuit of higher education. Therefore, we will not waver in our commitment to a university that contributes significantly to a more just society. We are and will remain passionate advocates for a humane, equitable, civil, and compassionate society.

He reminds us that we are each empowered to stand up to injustice whenever and wherever it occurs. I don’t think he’s either of the above. I think he’s used to making deals with low level criminal elements and unions and thought he could bring that to the table in Washington. The problem with that thinking is that organized crime (unions included) are pragmatic and act in their self-interests to get deals made. Psychopathic politicians comprise the .1% of society who have no conscience and must be dealt with in an entirely different frame of mind. They don’t want to deal with Trump AT ALL and it’s been 4 years of him whining about it on Twitter without a damn thing accomplished.
Maybe he’s a good manager of a corporation. I don’t know and it’s not fair for me to judge him on that. But he’s a horrible leader. That was just about the only thing I’ve heard Chris Martenson say this year that I agree with. We have a bunch of managers – not leaders – in Washington.
