My wife and I were kayaking in the keys about 12 years ago or so. We passed an area where pelicans were feeding on tarpons. One picked up a tarpon that was way too big for him, and ended up dropping it right into my wife’s lap on the kayak. She was NOT happy. It was nearly 2 feet long. Quite an ambitious pelican.
