North Charleston does not have a mask policy, Charleston I believe is still in effect. We have makers and anti maskers. The local school system hasn’t made vaccinations mandatory yet but they are pushing for full day attendance in the future even as the schools lose millions in state financial aid. I’m going to be interested in how all this plays out with the teachers and the contemptible HR administrators who will be counting beans to make up for lost revenue they’ve been pissing away all these years.
I’m sure the grade point averages will keep falling and enrollments will drop as the mask mandates stay in place and sensible people move away, further draining the school systems of revenue while leaving it to do more with less as ESL anchor babies and minorities dominate.

The number of “cases” is meaningless, and may as well be generated by a random number generator, because SARS-CoV-2 has never been isolated, and therefore has never been proven to exist. Reporting the number of COVID-19 cases is as meaningless as reporting the number of unicorns that exist in the universe. We have no way of knowing if they even exist, let alone how many of them there are.
The differences between the number of cases that are reported by blue states versus red states is probably due to the fact that blue states have an incentive to report higher numbers, so they set the PCR tests to be more sensitive. The red states have the PCR tests set less sensitive. The difference between the numbers reported by the various states has nothing to do with the effectiveness of masks, lockdowns, vaccines, or anything else.
Select any number followed by the phrase “new cases” and google it. Theres a news story for it. Any number. Four digits or less guarantees multiple hits.
The problem with your theory is that even in a red state the blue areas have far more cases. There is more then the vitamin D deficiency angle. In that the weekly totals will resemble the same saw tooth pattern. There won’t be many cases this weekend as the government drones and others have off.

You are right that I should have said “red areas” and “blue areas” instead of “red states” and “blue states”. I used the word “states” because the tweet in this post is comparing states, and I was commenting on the post.
