In an interview with British Vogue, 19-year-old pop singer Billie Eilish not only divulged that she has personally faced instances of sexual misconduct throughout her career but that the abuse of minors is “everywhere”. Eilish’s new single, “Your Power“, is about an abuser taking advantage of a minor. The song was written as an “open letter to people who take advantage – mostly men”, according to Eilish.
During the interview, Eilish did not identify her own abuser. Instead, she pleaded for her fans not to try and figure out who she references in the song. She did specify that her own abuser was not a figure within the music industry. She detailed:
I don’t know one girl or woman who hasn’t had a weird experience, or a really bad experience. And men, too – young boys are taken advantage of constantly.
Eilish said children are easy targets for manipulation because they “feel… so mature” and that they “know everything”. The singer also noted that it’s often glossed over that people sometimes grow up in unideal situations and “realize shit was fucked up when you were younger”. Eilish pointed out that it doesn’t matter who you are, who you surround yourself with, what your situation is, how smart or strong you are – you can always be taken advantage of:
That’s a big problem in the world of domestic abuse or statutory rape – girls that were very confident and strong-willed finding themselves in situations where they’re like, ‘Oh my God, I’m the victim here?’ And it’s so embarrassing and humiliating and demoralizing to be in that position of thinking you know so much and then you realize, ‘I’m being abused right now.’
Eilish told Vogue that that was the exact scenario she found herself in when she was younger but refused to elaborate further. If we harken back to Eilish’s original comment that the abuse of minors is “everywhere”, it’s not hard to see that’s truly the case…

Director Bryan Singer had allegations made against him for purportedly raping a 17-year-old in 2003. Dan Schneider, Chris Savino, and John Kricfalusi – all of the children’s network, Nickelodeon – were either fired or left the network of their own terms after shady and illicit rumors began to crop up in recent years. Now Eilish saying the abuse of minors is “everywhere” makes a little bit more sense in context, doesn’t it?
When does coincidence become a pattern? The classic saying, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” fits well here. So many people, so many instances, so many stories of horrid and lurid abuse performed on underage minors, children, yet people are quick to shrug their shoulders and ask what can be done. Plainly, when the very innocence of America’s youth is being desecrated for purposes solely of degeneracy, what does it indicate about the future of our nation?

The females have been married multiple times, mostly to abusers.
