Hump Day Tuneage

by the subway philosopher™

On occasion, celebrating the midweek hump with an eclectic selection of the most disrespectful, impolite, disgraceful, head-banging, disturbing, badass, depraved, rebellious, decadent, kick-butt rock n roll of all time feels like a perfectly responsible thing to do, for some reason. Or no reason at all. Crank it up!

the most worthy and noble things in life are these: the purity found in the natural world, the beauty found in the human heart, and the Divine truth revealed in music. – Jamie Andreas

Trigger Warning: Truth is divine, but not always beautiful or pure. If you’re easily offended, best just fuck off.

Are you ready, boots? Nancy Sinatra – These Boots Are Made for Walkin’

Seething, feline, female rage. Veruca Salt – Seether

Tasty. Great White – Rock Me

Enough said. Grinderman – No Pussy Blues

Burn through the Karens witches. Rob Zombie – Dragula

Well, been thinking how to add me favorite band and figure this tune just risque enough to make the grade,Hunting Girl by Jethro Tull.

On a side note, almost went to the Great White show, avoided a tragedy in rock history.

Jethro Tull was one of my favorite bands, had quite a collection of eight tracks for my car, a sixty-four and a half Mustang I bought for $400. Enjoyed the video.
This one showed up as more videos, if you have never seen this with Prince it will be a treat.

Cool,289 with 4 speed?For muscle cars had a 67 Firebird/71 LT1-350 drop top Vette/69 Goat/71 442 W-30 455 package car/don’t even get me going on the 4×4’s/motorcycles.

My guess Aqualung on 8 track along with maybe Minstrel In the Gallery/TAAB/Benefit ect.,along with some Doors/Hendrix ect.,if your brothers or sisters 8 tracks you probably added Deep Purple/perhaps even the first VH/Zep /Skynard ect.

On a side note, almost at age 19 bought a Shelby Cobra/429 ect.,great shape in 1980 but me dad would not let me get it,figured I would get killed in it,needed to borrow 2 grand from him to pull it off finance wise.

Gave him shit for decades about that bad investment advice1

Your guesses were pretty good. I did forget the Led Zeppelin. Also was the only kid around with an Axis Bold As Love tape with the Pioneer tape deck and Jensen speakers installed myself. That was the life. Only fear was getting drafted. My older brother had gone to fight in Vietnam and he told me that I didn’t need to end up being the last American killed over there for nothing. He came home and bought a 1963 Corvette which he still has. Now that is a car.
Mustangs were some special cars. This one was just an old car in 1972, but the interior was so plush, three speed, and could work on it myself though I never really cared much for mechanical work and still don’t. Fingers I guess are too big to reach down in tight places.

James my first car was a 1967 Mustang Coupe . 351 windsor, 4 speed ten bolt toploader,,heads milled,9.5 to1 flattop pistons, offenhauser intake, holly card and hooker headers . It ran low 14 . I paid 500 for it and did all of the modifications myself…back when working on a car was easy .

Don’t feel bad. One of my big mistakes in life was buying a worked-over 1970 Challenger RT/SE in the early 80’s. But my bigger mistake was selling it in the late 90’s for chump change. My biggest mistake – buying the Challenger instead of waiting for the chance at a 440 6-pack Cuda convertible 4-speed that would appear a few months later in the AutoTrader. Today that’s an easy 6 figure car unrestored.

Cool, has a Wilbury vibe and then goes sonic.I will say when Prince died was amazed at all the charities he gave monies to/supported without any reconiction publicly was awesome,he was a great man and musician.

I will say saw him back the Stones in 1981,not so good a show(but then, neither were the Stones.)

He had one of the greatest exits of the stage in Rock and Roll history in that video. Nothing short of a Jimmy Hendrix WTF moment .

SO, a lot of downvotes last week with my dedication to the Canadian PM (it was posted for the lyrics, naturally, not the song or recording, or tune so much). But, So What….if the theme is “the most disrespectful, impolite, disgraceful, head-banging, disturbing, badass, depraved…..etc, etc. then be careful what you wish for!
Let the downvotes fly again……..So What! (warning: explicit language)
