The border at 176th in British Columbia remains closed on both the Canadian and US side due to the convoy and ensuing protest. As of yesterday about four people had been arrested and released but the bulk of the protesters have remained.

Not too long ago, I made the comment that people might grow to appreciate the Third Amendment to the US Constitution. That’s the one about the “quartering of soldiers” in citizens homes.
Well, now, people thought that a remnant of a silly period when the government forced citizens to house its soldiers to better control an unruly population. In order to keep the people from organizing a revolution, soldiers were placed in logistical homes to both spy on the activities of citizens and to act as a policing force, which we know never works out well for anyone except the policing force.
Now, the government spies on you over your phone and/or computer and saves all of that information in a giant database under a mountain somewhere in Utah. A general strike almost always works. You need a high percentage of certain industries or the community at large to do it. Maybe 10% of all truckers would be enough. Maybe not, though.

Everywhere a general strike has happened it has been successful in getting the government to make major concessions.
There are not enough people on the side of the truckers. At the end of the day, too many people care about their own lives and their own finances. We do have mandates. Corporate whores still require employees to be injected. Some are giving exemptions, some are not. The federal employees still have a mandate but a judge stayed it. Healthcare workers are mandated.

Trudeau has called for the EMA to be enacted. It has to go before Parliament and through the senate. It also has to meet certain standards as outlined in the act and various other regulations.
