FADING SMILE OF A DYING EMPIRE

“All that is human must retrograde if it does not advance.” – Edward Gibbon

“Woe, destruction, ruin, and decay; the worst is death and death will have his day.” – William Shakespeare, Richard II

We moved to our corner of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania twenty-seven years ago. We raised our three boys here. We spent hundreds of hours on local baseball fields, in hockey rinks, in school gyms for basketball games, concerts, plays and donuts-with-dads. It’s still a nice place to live, with virtually no crime, decent roads, and reasonable property tax rates. But I would have to say there has been a degradation in the overall quality of life in my community, which is consistent with the downward spiral of our society in general. When we planted our roots in this community it was still more farm-like than suburban. Family farms and open space were more prevalent than housing tracts, strip malls, fast food joints and cookie cutter commercial buildings. A beautiful farmhouse a few miles from our home, freshly painted white, proudly displayed the iconic yellow smiley face. It symbolized good times.

We’ve been driving on this road for twenty-seven years on the way to baseball games, hockey practices, the car dealer for service, and lately to our gym, as we try to fend off father time.  Driving by that barn in the early days would always brighten your day. A bright yellow smiley face against a white background represented a positive, happy view of the world.

We moved to this area in 1995 while Clinton was president, unemployment was 5.6%, CPI was 2.8%, GDP growth was 2.7%, the annual deficit was $164 billion, the national debt was $4.9 trillion, the Fed balance sheet was $500 billion, the U.S. population was 263 million, total household debt was $4 trillion, you earned 5.5% on your money market fund, the U.S. bailed out Mexico, the Oklahoma City bombing happened, and OJ Simpson was found not guilty of killing his ex-wife. The military industrial complex was being starved by lack of wars and the stock market soared by 33% as the beginning of irrational exuberance began under the reign of Greenspan and his Put.

getAbstract - compressed knowledge

A lot has happened over the last twenty-seven years and the faded, barely visible smiley face, on a now mold ridden decaying barn, is truly representative of a society, culture and economic system dying a slow torturous death, as apathy, technological distraction, myopic indolence, and the greed of powerful elites combine to ensure the eventual collapse of the short-lived American Empire. Much of this quarter century of decline is borne out in the change in economic numbers noted above.

The unemployment rate is reported as 3.5% today with 158 million out of 264 million working age adults employed. That leaves 106 million not employed, or 40% of working age adults not working. Back in 1995, 125 million out of 199 million working age adults were employed, leaving 74 million not working. Over a quarter century we’ve added 65 million people to our population, but only 33 million to the employment rolls. Either we’ve devolved into a nation of freeloaders on welfare/disability, or the BLS is lying about the 3.5% unemployment rate, or both.

The BLS currently tries to convince the ignorant masses inflation is only 8.5%, up tremendously from the 2.8% in 1995. Since the Fed/Wall Street induced financial crash of 2008, the government had been reporting inflation of between 0% to 3%, when in reality, as measured the way it was measured in 1980, it had been between 7% to 10%. Today’s actual inflation rate is 17% in case you were wondering. Revealing the true cost of living to the peasants might induce a revolting outcome for our overlords. The government prefers to treat the math challenged masses like mushrooms, by keeping them in the dark.

The corrupt Fed, feckless politicians, media mouthpieces for the empire, and Wall Street shysters were shocked I tell you by skyrocketing inflation after the Fed increased their balance sheet from $3.7 trillion to $8.9 trillion and the D.C. swamp creatures increased the national debt from $23.2 trillion to $30.7 trillion since the beginning of 2020. This generated inflation in financial assets for the global elite and their minions, while destroying the finances of the middle and lower classes. The rot grows like a cancer in this empire of debt.

Fed's QT: Total Assets Drop by $91 Billion from Peak (QE created money, QT Destroys Money) | Wolf Street

The annual deficit of $164 billion in 1995 was racked up in 17 days in 2021. We have run annual deficits of $3.1 trillion in 2020 and $2.8 trillion in 2021, and the scumbags in Washington just keep passing $700 billion spending bills, writing off student loan debts for gender fluidity majors and sending billions in weapons to the most corrupt regime on the planet – Ukraine. The degradation and downward trajectory of this empire of debt, delusion and despair can be most clearly defined by comparing our GDP growth since 1995 to the growth of debt by both our government and the populace. Total U.S. GDP in 1995 totaled $7.6 trillion and today checks in at $24.8 trillion. That is a growth of 326% over twenty-seven years. The national debt has grown by 626%. Seems unsustainable, but why question our glorious leaders.

Q&A: Gross Debt Versus Debt Held by the Public | Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget

The Fed balance sheet has grown by 1,780%. Household debt has grown by 400%. Median household income in 1995 was $34,000. Today it is $73,000. That is a 114% increase over 27 years. With real inflation averaging between 5% and 10% per year during this time frame, average working Americans have seen their standard of living methodically decline, replacing the income with debt. The only beneficiaries of debt are the banking cabal and the mega-corporations selling their cheap Chinese crap to clueless dupes who believe driving a leased BMW and living in a cookie cutter McMansion with an $800,000 mortgage makes them wealthy.

The selfie generation is too distracted checking in on Facebook, posting pictures of their food on Instagram, doing a dance routine on Tik Tok or counting their likes on Twitter to realize how badly they’ve been screwed over by those pulling the strings of this society. The propaganda and psychology of fear utilized by the powerful interests has reached a level that would make Edward Bernays burst with pride, as manipulating the masses to believe falsehoods is a key requirement in implementing their Great Reset agenda.

This entire charade seems to be bursting at the seams, with raging inflation, a recession in process (despite Biden’s lackeys trying to redefine recession), a Green New Deal Great Reset agenda purposely creating energy and food shortages, government agencies running roughshod over the Constitution, and a tyrannical administration attempting to crush their political adversaries using any means necessary. Smiles are fading as we head into either a hyperinflationary depression or a deflationary depression, with some world war mixed in.

Why did Rome fall? | Live Science

The economic decay is easily provable, but our cultural and societal degeneration has exceeded our economic deterioration. Just as the Roman Empire exhibited particular traits of a dying culture, the American Empire displays similar characteristics, such as: concern with displaying affluence instead of building wealth; obsession with sex and perversions of sex; art becoming freakish and sensationalistic instead of creative and original; widening disparity between very rich and very poor; increased demand to live off the state.

Of course, our dying culture has also been turbocharged by the climate cult attempting to destroy our fossil fueled economic system by purposely sabotaging our energy and food systems as the driving force for their Great Reset. Weaponizing the annual flu as a means to inject billions of people with a DNA altering, sometimes lethal, concoction is part of Bill Gates’ depopulation agenda. They have taken the sex and gender perversion to new levels of child abuse, grooming and mutilation. The rampant pedophilia and child trafficking by the global elitists is the most despicable aspect of our cultural degeneracy. Anyone with a conscious can no longer be proud of this country and should be desperately concerned about its future.

“A growing sense of unease presently pervades the American consciousness. Americans are no longer as confident in their nation and self-assured as they once were. A sense of frustration and anger underscores American consciousness. Americans are looking over our shoulder at other emerging economic juggernauts and wondering if we can still be world’s social, political, and economic leader when Congress cannot even manage to balance the national budget. The thought that we are diminishing in stature in the eyes of the international community constantly torments Americans. Faded glory strikes a crippling blow to the American psyche. Analogous to an aging beauty queen, America might still possess a golden crown, but she lost her luster. In an eroding empire, Americans feel like second-class citizens in the union of nations.”Kilroy J. Oldster

The terms modern and progress have become warped and used as an excuse for destroying localization, small businesses, what worked, what was good, and what benefitted society, replacing it with globalization, mega-corporations, complex technology, profits at any cost, and benefits accumulating to the few with suffering borne by the many. Two examples come to mind within a few miles from my home. Just a couple miles from the fading smile barn is a property that was once a thriving family farm. I snapped a picture last week as I was driving past.

The decaying abandoned farmhouse, dilapidated barn, and rusting farm machinery are being engulfed by weeds, as the memories of a productive useful family farm fade like that yellow smiley face. I don’t know why it was abandoned, but I’m sure the corporate farming conglomerates and the corporate meat processing plants were a major factor. When you can buy cheap meat at Wal-Mart produced in China or some industrial farm, why pay a little more for fresh non-GMO meat sold by a local farmer?

Gone are the roadside vegetable stands and buying fresh meat from your local farmer neighbor. Maybe the patriarch of the homestead got too old, and his sons had been indoctrinated by the government schools to get corporate jobs in some of the commercial office campuses that have replaced open space and farmland. Whatever the reason, it provokes melancholy about a better simpler time whenever I pass by.

The governmental actions taken in the early 2000s still irk me to this day. The area around the intersection of Forty Foot Road and Sumneytown Pike in the late 1990s was still reminiscent of simpler times, before smart phones, hyper-consumerism, and proliferation of big box retail. Small businesses were important and viable. There was a family run diner near the turnpike entrance where all the locals ate breakfast and talked sports and politics.

Township police were friendly, driving older basic vehicles and housed in a small unassuming one-story township building. Nicely kept older homes lined one side of Forty Foot Road and the other side was an eclectic mixture of old-time baseball fields, with no lights and little to no ground’s maintenance, and the old Henry Sprecht grade school, built in 1909 to honor a long-time educator and local historian, which had been replaced by newer schools and creatively repurposed into a quaint antiques mall.

We spent many a summer evening watching my oldest son play little league baseball on those fields while trying to keep our four-year-old and three-year-old sons from getting into trouble. We loved wandering through that antiques mall as individual vendors selling all manner of antiques, hand crafted woodwork, baseball cards, toys, occupied nooks, and crannies in this ancient school. We bought a handcrafted cabinet by a local artisan for our kitchen, which we still employ today in our storage area.

My fondest memory was at Christmas time when it would become a Christmas wonderland and I would take the boys there to see the spectacular miniature train show, where local train aficionados would set up amazing displays. The kids were mesmerized. There was also a family-owned home center in Hatfield called Snyder’s that sold everything for your home and also had a great train display at Christmas for kids to enjoy. All this unpretentious delight ended abruptly in the early 2000s, as progress, commercialization, and greed took hold of the country and our little community.

As you may remember, Greenspan coined the term irrational exuberance in 1996 to describe financial markets, then turbocharged stocks by cutting rates, causing the dot.com bubble and responded to the stock market crash by cutting rates and causing the biggest real estate bubble in history, until now. These ephemeral paper riches caused local government bureaucrats to use phantom tax revenues to envision delusions of grandeur by building useless unnecessary projects.

This is exactly what the government drones running Towamencin Township did. They produced a grand master plan, gave it a fancy name, spent tens of millions of our tax dollars, and produced an embarrassing mess. They used eminent domain to acquire homes, forced the dozens of small business owners out of the antique mall and flattened the building, closed off the baseball fields to little kids, and closed Forty Foot Road for over a year to build a glorious $13 million bridge to nowhere. This bridge stands as a tribute to all those Chinese ghost cities, as it serves no purpose except as an example of government incompetence, wastefulness, and misuse of taxpayer funds with no consequences for the government drones.

Rather than wait for actual retail tenants to sign on to their glorious project, the government geniuses built the bridge knowing they would come. They never came. The real estate retail bubble popped. It’s now fifteen years later and those four baseball fields are still sitting there, untouched, undeveloped, and unused. They stuck a Walgreens where the charming antique mall once sat. No pedestrians cross the pedestrian bridge because there is nothing on either side. A four- story commercial building was built on spec a block from the bridge and stood vacant for five years.

The family-owned Snyder’s home store was driven out of business by the Home Depot and Lowes built within a few miles. There are now cookie cutter townhouses where Snyder’s stood. Another successful retail center in the 1990s up the road, anchored by a family owned Genuardi supermarket and a Sears Hardware, along with a pizza place, drugstore, Blockbuster, and kids play center has been vacant and rotting for over a decade, as bankruptcies, mergers, and the relentless downward economic spiral made it untenable.

In addition to wasting taxpayer money on the ghost bridge to nowhere, these financial government geniuses decided their police station built in 1975 no longer met the needs of their fast-growing police force in a township with no crime, because it is 88% white/Asian. They built themselves a complex three times the size of their old station. Lucky, because they now have a police force of 23 officers, all decked out with souped-up brand-new SUVs.

You need that level of manpower and firepower for all those speed traps, fender benders and writing tickets for illegal basketball nets. There hasn’t been a major crime in Towamencin in over a decade, but the taxpayers pay over $1 million per year to be harassed and pay for their donut budget This level of government waste is happening in every locality and state in America. And the Feds put them all to shame with their corrupt, wasteful, traitorous spending, bribing, and war mongering across the globe, to the tune of trillions.

The decline I’ve personally seen in my local community is not just a localized cancer but has metastasized across the land and around the globe. As our economic system accelerates towards inevitable implosion, either as a planned demolition or due to the hubris of central bankers, the fraying social fabric of our civilized society is unmistakable, as the moral state of our country has deteriorated to a level seen only in debauched empires on the brink of failure.

The global elite and their moral depravity have engulfed the world, as their ravenous greed, insatiable appetite for dominion over the masses, immoral deceit, manipulative use of propaganda, and satanic decadence have created economic, social, political, and military distress across the globe. As Toynbee and Solzhenitsyn note, the lack of morality and courage among those who profess to be leaders has permeated throughout society, leading to a dearth of citizens taking civic responsibility for the path of the country.

“Of the twenty-two civilizations that have appeared in history, nineteen of them collapsed when they reached the moral state the United States is in now.”
― Arnold Joseph Toynbee

The Decline and Fall of the American Empire

“A decline in courage may be the most striking feature that an outside observer notices in the West today. The Western world has lost its civic courage. Such a decline in courage is particularly noticeable among the ruling and intellectual elite, causing an impression of a loss of courage by the entire society.” ― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn

We are a lost society, ruled by emotions, captured by technology, misinformed, uneducated, indifferent, fearful, passively accepting of whatever government and media tell them is true, and entranced by materialism funded by debt. We are a sick dying culture where common community standards, self-responsibility, hard work, kindness, and manners have been superseded by the worship of abnormality, celebration of degeneracy, living off the government, spreading hatred, and waging undeclared wars across the world.

There is an empty shallowness to our civilization, with the vacuum filled with gadgets, pathetic displays of fake affluence, trivialities like social media, and superficial displays of virtue signaling regarding the latest woke craze shoved down our throats by those controlling the levers of society. There is an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness, fear, and foreboding mood of impending doom, as this Fourth Turning accelerates towards its bloody denouement.

The aura of pessimism about the future and fear that our superpower status, only in existence since 1946, is rotting from within permeates the psychology of those actually willing to think critically and see what is really happening. The existing social order will be extinguished during the waning years of this Fourth Turning. We are in the interval between the decay of the old and formation of the new, whatever that may be.

This transition will be one of uncertainty, turmoil, miscalculation, fanatical misrepresentations, war (civil & global), false prophets, bloodshed, and clear winners and losers. Decay and death of empires have happened for centuries and are necessary to expunge the excesses and abuses which always occur as empires expand and its leaders exhibit a hubristic arrogance towards their people and the world.

Record Floods and Fires | Tomorrow's World

“Just as floods replenish soil and fires rejuvenate forests, a Fourth Turning clears out society’s exhausted elements and creates an opportunity.”The Fourth Turning

It is hard to believe the prognostications of Strauss & Howe a quarter century ago, just after I moved to my community, could be so eerily accurate. But, when you are sure of the catalysts: debt, global disorder, and civic decay, the volcanic eruption of distress can only flow along certain channels, preordained by choices made over decades by our leaders and ourselves.

Volcanic Eruptions

“Imagine some national (and probably global) volcanic eruption, initially flowing along channels of distress that were created during the Unraveling era and further widened by the catalyst. Trying to foresee where the eruption will go once it bursts free of the channels is like trying to predict the exact fault line of an earthquake. All you know in advance is something about the molten ingredients of the climax, which could include the following:

    • Economic distress, with public debt in default, entitlement trust funds in bankruptcy, mounting poverty and unemployment, trade wars, collapsing financial markets, and hyperinflation (or deflation)
    • Social distress, with violence fueled by class, race, nativism, or religion and abetted by armed gangs, underground militias, and mercenaries hired by walled communities
    • Political distress, with institutional collapse, open tax revolts, one-party hegemony, major constitutional change, secessionism, authoritarianism, and altered national borders
    • Military distress, with war against terrorists or foreign regimes equipped with weapons of mass destruction”

This Fourth Turning has created tremendous distress in all four categories noted by Strauss & Howe. With over $200 trillion of unfunded liabilities, the country is already in default, but unwilling to admit it. The Social Security fund will run out of money in a few years. State and local pension funds are underfunded by trillions. With Powell and his minions in control, hyperinflation and deflationary depression are on the near-term horizon, with financial assets crashing once again, for the fourth time this century.

The social distress has been initiated and promoted by the global elite through their complete control of the media propaganda outlets. They are attempting to spur violent upheaval, as this will give them the excuse to disarm and electronically imprison dissenters and Great Reset resisters. Class, race, religion, and gender are all being used to stoke unrest.

The political distress is the biggest gaping wound in our national body today. If critical thinking individuals didn’t acknowledge the existence of a Deep State before, they surely can’t deny its existence now. It has existed for decades, but has been forced out into the open, as threats to their power and control multiply due to their arrogance, ineptitude, wickedness, and avarice.

Anyone who dares to deviate from their directives and threatens their fiefdom is either killed, neutered, or destroyed (JFK, RFK, George Wallace, Perot, Assange, Trump). Russiagate, two impeachments, J6 witch trial, and now the rogue DOJ/FBI raid on Trump’s compound has driven the political stress to heights not seen since 1860. The desires of the globalist elites for a Great Reset into a new world order where you own nothing, and they own everything is the goal of all this engineered chaos.

NATO's COUP IN UKRAINE: THE GENESIS – 2. Obama, Soros, MI6 & Kyiv Security Forum – gospanews.net

The military distress may be the most concerning and potentially most destructive aspect of this Fourth Turning as we enter the normally bloody phase. The flailing U.S. empire is provoking and stoking global conflict to keep feeding the Deep State military industrial complex. The Ukraine conflict was initiated by the U.S. in 2014 and is being used as a justification to fight Russia without getting our hands dirty.

Continuing to poke the nuclear armed bear, has the potential to escalate the conflict to a point of no return. Throwing fuel on the fire by provoking China over Taiwan’s independence is irrationally reckless and the mark of a desperate empire seeing the sun setting on its 76-year reign as the one global superpower, and willing to risk global war in a fruitless effort to remain king.

The U.S. can let its empire expire with a whimper (e.g. British Empire) or a bang. Based on their ham-handed, stumbling, absurd endeavors to maintain their dominance over the world, they have initiated global food and energy shortages, caused unbearable economic hardship upon the middle and lower classes, and have pushed the world to the brink of nuclear war with countries run by serious men. While we are supposedly led by an ancient fossil lost in a fog of dementia and unable to string two coherent sentences together, even with a teleprompter. Obama, the Deep State, and a plethora of diversity hire apparatchiks are really calling the shots.

The smile has faded on this empire of debt, delusion, denial, and destruction, just as it has on the barn near my house. The coming trials will require levels of courage, fortitude, and sacrifice which many might think they are not capable of summoning, but we have no choice. You can’t sit out Fourth Turnings. Sides will need to be chosen and life or death decisions made. The future of this country and the world hang in the balance.

Choosing your allies and forming local communities of like-minded people with the skills to survive and thrive in the world created after the coming conflict is resolved, is all you can do at this point. Preparation may not be enough, but not preparing guarantees a bad outcome for you and your family. Whatever you do, put absolutely no faith in any government solution to our predicament. They are the enemy and you can’t vote your way out of this.

Journalists must remember the George Carlin Rule | by Kent Kroeger | Medium

I hope after this is over to see a fresh coat of white paint applied to that old barn and a brand-new yellow smiley face resurrected on the same spot, marking the start of a new High.

‘Don’t be silly,’ says Paddy, ‘You must have a vase somewhere!’

Southern Baptists just had a sex scandal hit the news and tv news even overseas news, with underage kids and pastors and other church leaders, over 200 went to jail and the hierarchy hid this info for sometime. I see an exit of membership like the Catholic church some years back. People don’t want to pay for lawsuits (which will soon happen) by staying a member and supporting it.

I think some of them, possibly Robert Jeffress, fly Trump flags in front of the church building. What next?

Regardless “religious” affiliation, voting Trump must mean acceptance of LGBTQ since Trump and Melania DID host a gathering of such at Mar-a-Lago. I blame it on Melania because I have a female cousin that once said gays are born that way. It’s a woman thing I suppose.

An Irishman goes into a bar in America and orders three whiskeys. The barman asks: “Would it be better for if I put all three shots in one glass?”

The Irishman replies: “No! I have two other brothers back at home, so every time I come into a pub, I order a shot for them both.”

The following week, the Irishman orders just two whiskeys.

The barman asks: “Did something happen one of your brothers?” “Oh no,” replies the Irishman. “I just decided to quit drinking!”

Your very amusing post went right over a whole bunch of heads.
Another sign of our nation’s decline…a loss of a sense of humor.
Stupidity and pussification don’t get humor. Humor requires a sense of
time, place and bravery, a sensitivity to real truth immune from current fashionable
mass hallucinations. Real humor is unvarnished truth told succinctly.
I lived in Manhattan from 1979 until 1990. My wife’s family lived in Harrisburg
and I spent a great deal of time hunting and visiting rural PA. I watched NYC go from
a dangerous shithole to a great city under Guilliani. I also watched Harrisburg go from
a small but nice capitol go to a small shithole under democrats. Our people have been
betrayed by the people we trusted. Teachers, politicians, ourselves. Find faith in people

Admin gets out of his Rolls, opens the for for his three buxom companions, walks into a bar with a 12 inch Irishman on his shoulder. He orders drinks all around and when the barman had put them down, the little Irishman jumps down, runs up and down than kicking the drinks over, and pissed on the floor. The barman asked hey, what is the story with the Rolls and the women and the little fucking Mick? Admin says well I found a bottle and when I opened it a genie popped out and gave me three wishes. First I wished to have endless money, and poof, it happened. Then I wished to be irresistible to women, and poof, it happened. Then I fucked up and asked for a 12” prick.

A man and his wife are awakened at 3 o’clock in the morning by a loud pounding on the door. The man gets up and goes to the door where he is met by a drunken neighbor who is standing in the pouring rain. The neighbor asks him for a push. “Not a chance!” says the husband. “It’s three o’clock in the morning!” He slams the door and returns to bed. “Who was that?” asked his wife. “It was Timothy Quinn, from around the corner. He is drunk and he wants a push.” he answers. “Did you help him?” she asks. “No, I did not! It’s three in the morning and its pouring rain!” “Well, you have a short memory.” says his wife. “Can’t you remember about three months ago when our car broke down and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him and you should be ashamed of yourself!” The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain. He calls out into the dark, “Quinn, are you still there?” “Yes.” comes back the answer. “Do you still need a push?” calls out the man. “Yes, please!” Is the reply from the dark. “Where are you?” asks the man. “I over here, on the swing.”

A Muslim was sitting next to Paddy on a plane.

Paddy ordered a whiskey.

The stewardess asked the Muslim if he’d like a drink.

He replied in disgust “I’d rather be raped by a dozen whores than let liquor touch my lips!”

Paddy handed his drink back and said

“Me too, I didn’t know we had a choice!”

Can’t resist the urge to respond. You should read the book ‘How the Irish Saved Civilization’ by Thomas Cahill.

“From the fall of Rome to the rise of Charlemagne- the dark ages- learning, scholarship, and culture disappeared from the European continent. The great heritage of Western civilization- from the Greek and Roman classics to Jewish and Christian works- would have been utterly lost were it not for the holy men and women of the unconquered Ireland…With the return of stability in Europe, these Irish scholars were instrumental in spreading learning. Thus the Irish not only were the conservators of civilization, but became shapers of the medieval mind, putting their unique stamp on Western culture.”

Yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of the assassination of Michael Collins, the first leader of the Irish Free State and the man who made the Republic possible by virtue of his military acumen and accurate assessment of British vulnerabilities. He was killed at Béal na Bláth, County Cork, Irish Free State, on 22 August 1922. The town is situated between Ovens, Co Cork, the birthplace of General Patrick Cleburne, and Woodfield, Sam’s Cross, Co Cork. It is fitting that these two men share “The Rebel County” as their birthplace – both having died for their respective causes which are my own.

An excellent reference for thoughtful discourse.

Quoted from the article:
” Many Christians ask God for help, but then expect God to do everything Himself. They excuse this by pointing to the fact that God will provide according to His will and in His timing. However, this is not a reason for inactivity.”

As referenced “hear tell”, it is just a vicious rumor heard told.
But this does not reduce its legitimacy.

Republican forms of government aren’t designed or intended to be empires, and they must turn toward more authoritarian forms of government if they intend to become empires.

Sure, the many of the Founders envisioned an empire, but it was an empire of Liberty and protected individual rights with a strictly limited government.

Very good rational arguments were put forward by Hamilton, and supported by many other sane people, to the effect that America needed to grow quickly and develop an industrial base in order to survive in the world of the time. I think they were correct, but, unfortunately, the precedents created in John Marshall’s Supreme Court in order to accomplish that goal as soon as possible, interpreting the Constitution as one with “implied powers” that can be discovered as needed, created our nightmare government of today.

They raped the meaning of the limitations on the taxing power, which is another of the horrid legacies of our early SCOTUS. They created the precedents that took America into the modernizing world as an empire, but not an empire of Liberty and protected individual Rights.

No one can say that the U.S. “needed” the Philippines or Puerto Rico in order to survive. Circumstances were much changed from the time of the founding; and they have changed even more since the beginning of the “Progressive” Era

Thankfully, We The People can alter the Constitution.

As I’m sure you know, the Constitution can’t be changed at all, legally, unless the change is approved by the People, which means that many of the most important changes to our Constitution have been made illegally, outside of the Law of the 5th Amendment.

There will be interesting times ahead.

I was talking about strictly limited government v. unlimited government.

In fact, Hamiltonians did a lot of things that helped farmers.

Even in those days, some people were smart enough to see the benefits of encouraging trade. Unfortunately, our founders were mostly protectionists, which almost certainly slowed down the economic growth they were hoping for.

Don’t hype up an agrarian society until you’ve been a part of one, one where you have to import all your farm machinery. All of your machinery in fact.

The secret is to let people have economic freedom rather than enforce some top-down plan for the type of society you think best.

Indeed, but the proponents of planning in our early Republic were certain that America would not survive unless it became strong enough to resist European powers, which were the great powers of the day, and all of them hated the idea of America. Hamilton considered it a pressing need that America develop an industrial base and a strong economy, both things being necessary for even a defensive war. America was born in a very dangerous world ruled by authoritarian governments, al of whom saw their death in the idea that created America.

That is sad, and entirely familiar.

I can tell you that 2200 miles away in a different country, I see the same in my land of farms and cottages. The only new things in the little town in years are a national chain fast food place and national chain gas station. Mom&Pop gas station closed years ago and is rotting. Little strip mall in town is almost entirely empty now, other than a liquor store and weed shop. One of two Mom&Pop restaurants closed last year, other is closed two days a week now.

Things got rough back in the 1970’s but I don’t recall it going this bad, this fast and clearly we have not even come close to peak suck yet. Not hopeful.

They can keep NYC, ChiCongo, Boston, LA and the rest of the fag bougie meccas. I’ll take peace and quiet, stability, hometown lifestyle and American old fashioned values. Down here in the sticks we greet people with, “How you doing today sir”, we thank people for holding doors and everyone waves as they pass….even if they have no idea who you are.

I tell my family in NashVegas that the place will be a shithole in the next ten years. What a shame but you know WHO has to make dat money. We’d purchased our first home in ’88 for $137k, when interest rates were almost 10.5%, so we wound up getting an ARM. Smartest thing I’d done, as over the 17 years we had that house, the payments only went down.

My wife was just finishing her schooling in ’95, taking almost 7 years to get her 4 year degree in Horticulture by having a reduced schedule to be home when the kids left for school and again once they got home. We were able to live quite well on my income alone, although there were a lot of milestones that I wasn’t able to be there for. ’95 saw my best year in earnings ever up to that point, at $87k, as I’d just gotten a slot on the vessel as an Oiler in the Engine Room the year before.

We raised our kids in the same quiet suburb just North of Seattle that we both grew up in, and they were able to still be Free-Range, as were all of the other kids in the area. They flourished.

Today, I’m watching our children raising THEIR children in the same locale, but under VERY different circumstances. What was once a really nice bedroom community is now being forced to allow High-Density Apartments to be built, a once-great School District has now been overrun with Low-Income “families” that have raised Property Crime levels to heretofore unthinkable levels, and rampant Drug Use has only exacerbated the issue.

When our youngest was in his Senior Year in High School we downsized from 2300 Square Feet to ~ 1800, figuring that we’d like to have a smaller place with no steps to retire to. The neighborhood, only 3 miles on the other side of the same town, was a little older, with mostly retired Original Owners still residing in their homes, their children mostly gone if not from the area, at least from their homes.

I watch our daughter and her husband, and my youngest son and his wife, having to work full-time to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Mrs. Ed and I had the luxury of being in a position to assist them in purchasing their homes, but even with sizeable downpayments, their monthly bills have them living on the edge. Each family has 4 kids, but due to Covid shutdowns and the realization of what was being taught at their schools has led them to be homeschoolers now. Mrs. Ed watches all of the younger ones while the parents work.

The oldest son and his wife have fallen prey to the ever-increasing opioid crisis that has now found its way into our increasingly lawless area. In the greenbelts where we used to walk our dogs and kids, there’s now tents and garbage strewn everywhere. Our local Albertsons grocery store has had 3 separate instances of armed carjacking’s in the last year, and the local community Baseball field and Basketball court had two double shootings of “youths” last month.

So here I am at 57 now, currently on my 4th month straight of 12-hour days, 7 days a week, with at least 6 more weeks to go because of the insanity of “Covid”, and the fear our office has of doing Crew changes.

During this time, Child Protective Services has taken #1 Son’s 18-month daughter away, and we’re now her Legal Guardians until such point as they either Die or “Get Clean”. At 36, I’m finding it doubtful that’s ever going to happen for either of them. And the MOST Insane Thing we heard from CPS? “If they can prove that at least ONE of them is ‘clean’ at a time, they could get her back”…..

We are Well and Truly Doomed, and it makes me want to break down and cry for what my grandkids are going to have to live through…..

Zero – Man, I feel for you. It is depressing to see your kids/grandkids turn into addicts and ruin their lives, but it sounds like you and the Mrs. are doing everything in your power to take care of the little ones while their parents drift away into that deep, dark world. I have seen a lot of people take in children of druggies and so far, all of the kids have done well once they got out of their parent’s house. We were worried about our adopted granddaughter, as she started down the same path as her mother in high school, but it appears she has turned her life around and is doing well these days.

I, too, mourn for what my grandkids and great-grandkids will have to live through, but I continue to teach them whenever given the chance. Skills are what they need and they will soak it up if for no other reason than the fact that Gramps is spending time with them and they cherish that time.

God be with you, my brother. Keep working, keep loving on the kids, keep praying and above all else keep the faith.

TN,
I pretty much stay upbeat. The other 8 grandkids are getting everything they need both materially and Spiritually. It’s just that Jim’s article kinda’ hit me unexpectedly hard today for some reason.

The Mrs. is the Rock of the family, and has come to terms with the prognosis of #1 Son better than I have. I suppose it’s because as his Father I’m “supposed” to make everything better, and consequently question my decision to go to sea “professionally”. She does everything she can to dissuade me from this idea. You know: HE gave all of us “Free Will” to do as we please….. At least the Granddaughter will not be found wanting for necessities….

Pray every night for all of ’em, and the fact that all of the others have crept back into the Church Fold gives me immense Faith…..

I’m sorry to hear of these troubling times especially about your oldest son. I have just recently, in the past 8 months, gone through hell with my oldest son. You start to second guess every decision you’ve made but that’s not the way. It’s tough and sometimes you can do everything right but it still goes south (not that we did everything right). Sometimes it is what it is.

Due to massive in-migration, the SHTF scenario has spared that in most of the SC Lowcountry. We live 15 minutes from a 15,000 pop. town, but there have been 7 houses built within 1/2 mile in the last two years on our island of possibly 500 people.

As well, we have two new republican neighbors that just retired and said FU to SoCal. Sight unseen, they paid $491K cash for a 1,500 sq ft 3BR/2BA on 2.5 acres.

Don’t know when SHTF will happen here, but it will. We’ve been prepping for it 3+ years. At 69, it’s beyond sad to observe what used to be the best country in the history of the world being turned into a third world sewer.

old game plan.

Genesis 41:35
Then have them collect all the food of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain for food in the cities under Pharaoh’s authority, and have them guard it.

Genesis 41:48
So he collected all the food of these seven years which occurred in the land of Egypt and put the food in the cities; he put in every city the food from its own surrounding fields.

Genesis 47:21
As for the people, he relocated them to the cities from one end of Egypt’s border to the other.

It ain’t dead.
My country turned on me. When I was younger I was already learning that I and those who desire to see that many of the evil tricks had been perpetrated by the “man behind the curtain” (as I came to call it) had been effected before our grand-parents had been born. The dirty tricks (by no means cheap ones either) continued and continues this day and I’m sure these egregious practices will continue in future days. For good or ill, my disdain, dare I say hate, is nearly complete. This is not directed at the lemmings so much; the estúpido will dig their own graves. No, I reserve that seething burning anger for those at all levels of the power exercised directly or indirectly by those who are called government.
More succinctly, I am fed the fuck up.

great/poignant article, admin. reminds me of the articles i read many moons ago that were posted at sgt report that led me to your site.
here on the other/western side of PA it’s the same story: small cities that had their day, but those days are gone and they are not coming back. many areas built on heavy industry are now (if they’re lucky, ha ha) dominated by the “healthcare” industry, most notably upmc.
we’re hanging in there, and there’s still a surprising amount of growth, but it’s clear that priorities are not what they once were. the younger generations have different belief systems, and the secular, virtue signaling “leaders” running orgs, skool boards, and such, will be shocked by the eventual crashing sounds happening around xem.

Yeah it sucks how not only Wal Mart but other corporations are assisting the abortion agenda.

I recall me “boycotting” Home Depot earlier 200o’s when the company sponsored a gay parade. Wonder how many still boycott Home Depot seeing as how so many other big retailers are gay now as well? And that gay stuff…shhhh, it’s in the smaller “local” retail stores as well. Let’s not kid ourselves on that one. Living in the country does not mean there are no gays or no abortions for that matter. There is a kill center about 60 miles away in Louisiana. Here is someone in the thick of the end abortion argument:
Pastor Debates College Students On Campus. Pastor Jeff Durbin debates college students on campus at LSU.

Local here means spending $$ this ole cowboy simply has to hold onto for say, the “light bill”. The “local” hardware store is ok for small stuff but I’m not paying 20% more for a power tool I can pick up when I happen to be in an area with say, a Lowes , just to say I shop local. I do what I can.

There should be no stigma for living in Podunk going forward. A cabin in the woods in the middle of BFE is adequate for those who don’t need the urban BS.

Living in what you can easily afford or paying cash and having no mortgage should be our status symbol. The banksters will lose much of their power when we live a life within our means, no longer just debt slaves.

But wait there is more! The Confederate Memorial State Park is there. Hardly anyone knows about it. Quantrill has a headstone at the cemetery. People still put flowers there. Legend has it his body was divided up and parts were buried in different areas. The park is well cared for and worth visiting if you are ever in the area. Higginsville is 12 miles north of I70 even though they tell you it’s on the interstate, it’s just the city limits. There is a truck stop there so, taxes, you know. Sure – I can tell you when shit will go bad. It’s not a one line answer though.

Barring a natural “shit-goes-down” scenario (like comet) or lab-created-shit-goes-down…

It will begin, for those in the United States, when the dollar officially loses reserve status. So, not any time really soon (like tomorrow), but a fair probability exists that within 5 years, depending on how the chess board aligns, the reserve currency status is lost or greatly diminished in value.

Before that happens, all effort will be made to preserve reserve status.

You will see them raise rates to 5-6 percent, and more if de facto methods are included (keep oil high with legal/political methods, severe restratinst on borrowers, etc.).

Rates need to be 10%+ real or de facto to secure reserve status and suck up all FDI (a MAIN goal of this entire game), therefore depriving many countries of the notes necessary (without counterfeiting their own Supernotes a la Yasser Arafat style) to pay back formerly secured obligations revolving around such things as the types of “infrastructure” (the worthless kind, mostly) Jim describes. Now the piss ant countries “owe the Jackals” currencies that are hard to get and secured, for the time being, in reserve status.

By doing so (raising rates A LOT), a choice between Wall Street/Monetization AND Reserve Currency that allows Empire itself, is being made.

Clearly, Wall Street was a good ride down, but will be sacrificed for Empire/Reserve now. One depends on having the other, and not vice-versa. The Reserve Currency allows Wall Street, not the other way around.

First by inflation (devaluing of currency supply with liberal policy and over-issuance) and then by deflation (increasing value of currency supply with conservative policy and under-issuance) the Banksters Will Own The World.

The Banksters, by the way, are The Interanational Communists.

Plank 5 IS the goal on a global scale. One could argue that Plank 5 (and others) is already implemented globally – that is truly what WWI and WWII were about – and it’s just a matter of technocratic consolidation at this point.

Your essay transported me to my mid 1990’s. I was a not so young freshman at PSU having just returned to student life after a brief attempt at domesticated life. When I entered my dorm room in the coed building there was a stunning mid 20-something young lady unpacking. I thought I had struck gold and that coed building meant shared bedrooms. Turns out she was my roommate’s girlfriend who drove him up and was helping him to get settled in. She was FBI and had spent the summer in OKC because of the bombing.

Her and my roommate would not last even a semester apart. It sounded to me like she was sleeping her way up the government ladder. He was crushed but since I had just gotten out of a failed engagement we bonded, helping each other cope with the wounds of life. We also helped each other walk home on many evenings from Crowbar.

PSU used to get decent speakers before the Communists seized control of the university and all the funding for guest speakers. Oliver North spoke that year. While not a fan of his at the time I thought it would be good to hear him speak. There were riff-raff protesters but even they eventually calmed down enough to listen. He made 2 points that resonated with me and still do.

1. “Right now, tonight, our President is in China selling your birthright. In a few years China won’t be some backwoods economy thanks to what is happening on this trip”

2. Get involved. Regardless of whether you plan to vote right or left don’t go down without a fight. He was surprisingly non-partisan and was more focused on civic involvement.

Fast forward to now, we pretty much can’t function without importing cheap Chinese junk at the expense of exporting our industry to them since that speech. And the sons & daughters of that riff-raff have become the Antifa/BLM movement. Their parents got involved while the rest of us chased dollars after graduation. The riff-raff are now principles, superintendents, diversity officers, and government bureaucrats.

They thought it was great to deregulate everything because it made their stocks go up. In the 90s they thought illegal immigration was just fine and dandy because it provided cheap labor for their small businesses and cheap landscaping. They voted for corporate backed candidates because they only cared about their own little world and not the country as a whole. They also dumped on the low income by supporting Nafta so they could get cheap shit closing down factory jobs. Now the chickens have come home to roost. I have no f*cks to give. go back to dealing w/the local lumberyard & plumbing supply house,it’s worth it–

“return the tools ”

EVERY Big box store has that policy. HD ALWAYS had more better ‘stuff’ than Lowe(r)s. Now on the way down as well.

‘Return Policy’ Everywhere. Every tool imaginable, up to and including log splitters. NOT buying. ‘Returns’, Bad Karma not the least among them.

Now, Even Milwaukee tools. Suffering, quality-wise. Sooo Happy when i saved enough/bought my first sawzall, right angle drill.

Too many 18V ‘brushless’ last batch. Impact started leaking after 2 mos. Then the switch failed. AND, i’m basically ‘retired’ from actually doing the work. Strictly ‘Home Use’ 🤣, somewhat subjective.

Local Dealer, looooong Relationship. Stocked EVERY tool and Accessory they made/make. ‘Price matched’ ANY, may have been ‘Long Time Loyalty’, IDK. ALWAYS tried to find the cheapest price on a given product, and he was it.

He’s Basically getting away from them. It was this Gentleman who informed me that they had been bought out. By a chinaman…

And a ‘german’.

CPO does have some ‘ good stuff cheap’. ‘Reconditioned’ Bosch® rotary Green, a few years ago. Less than 1/2 price ‘New’, Factory Warranty. Could not even tell if it had been removed from box.

Blame that one on the boss.*. She was no longer falling for me caressing her neck and subtly as possible tilting her little head…’There. Does it NOT look plumb and level. Now?’ Used it 2x myself, ran it for a buddy or 2. But at least i previously learned to remove the batteries when in storage. ’cause i got ‘Wisdom’. From ‘experience’. From bad decisions.

P.S. Did ya ever see a fawn that was fawnstrung?

After driving the dogs away. By the time i got back with the knife to slit its throat and put it out of its misery, it had finally died. Heard it from probably 400 yds. away. Darn near slipped off the log crossing crick, shaved a 1/4 mile off walkin’ home from the bus stop.

They started eatin’ the hindquarter after stringin’ it. STILL can hear it.

Lip, I suppose if there is a Cabelas in one’s home town then purchasing from Cabelas is “local”. I have to drive 40-60 miles to shop a sporting goods store. That is why at $3.50 + gasoline, online purchasing with free shipping and other perks only makes sense for my choice of living, in the boonies. I don’t even have to put on my shoes, the delivery source comes right to my door. Sign reads “BEWARE OF THE DOG, DOG BITES, advance notice recommended”. Never a problem , the deliveries.

For the other discussions in the thread about shopping local and such, in Texas what I see in many small towns that try to increase economic activity is what I saw in Whitefish , MT in 2012.

Recently driving through the old downtown of Sulphur Springs , Texas , late afternoon on a Saturday, I was surprised the “feel” I got as if the downtown was now similar to the Las Vegas strip except there are no casinos in Texas. The “local” seemed more entertainment than useful retail. There seemed to be plenty of restaurants and live music was being played in a small park. The shops I saw were mostly if not entirely what I saw in Whitefish, trendy clothing, trendy touristy gift shops, a chocolate shop, a tattoo shop , a smoke shop etc. , retail of choice not of beneficial utility.

Texas is infiltrated with what people in Whitefish told me was the “progressives” and the locals did not seem to care for it. The progressives wanted higher taxes because people need good streets and sidewalks in order to access the new yuppie style businesses. Must create an “atmosphere” in order to lure the $$$ in. In Texas I think its the “republican progressives” since that remains the majority of the political party affiliation “vote” with their trendy ideas. The businesses they establish are mostly of little use to practical people. It seems to be all about fun stuff. While I do shop “local” occasionally eating at two decent Mexican food restaurants , what I see in Sulphur Springs is what I coined the progressive yuppie movement in Whitefish with trendy (high dollar) gift shops, clothing stores , anything but a lumber yard or hardware store that may be useful. There are no Home Depots or Lowes where I live or in Sulphur Springs. There likely is a hardware store in Sulphur Springs, perhaps an ACE hardware store chain “locally” owned (yet “controlled” by ACE corporation, been there, done that) yet the emphasis on bringing in more $$$ seems to be a vision of the republican faction of the progressive yuppie types. It’s all good if that clicks one’s trigger. I don’t care. All I care is give me a “local” business I can use and not expect to pay 10-20% more for products. Texas has gone to the dregs with this yuppie new “local” business ideas.

We are in a much smaller rural town, but even change is seen here. Small farms are closing, their barns and outbuildings dilapidating and constant rumors of solar panels possibly inhabiting the overgrown fields. Land barons come in and buy up the big parcels, then lot them out and sell them to city people. These clueless morons pay 60 grand for 5 acres of land and think they can turn this area in suburbia. Luckily our harsh winters and existence of a large number of families who stick around and refuse to let this area change (for now), those people don’t stay.

Utica, which is (far) south of me, is one of the oldest in NY. As a history buff I have learned about all of the iconic names that originated from Utica. Prominent white men such as Sherman (VP under Taft), Proctor, Kemble, and so on. The streets of Utica are named after those great men. If you take a drive through Utica you see that the houses were once beautiful and their architecture was that of upscale white suburbia. The people that owned these houses went to work in the many factories and mills that existed in Utica. Now, if one dares, you drive through and the houses are nothing but shitholes inhabited by low IQ blacks and foreigners that still think they are in a 3rd world country and live that way. The white people left in the 80s after NAFTA destroyed the businesses and left Utica to be nothing more than a rotten corpse of what once was a great city.

The decay of Utica doesn’t stop the politicians from polishing the turd as they say. The arterial that runs through Utica was revamped at the tune of 100 million. They too built a pedestrian bridge, which they claim connects the east side of Utica (the “Brewery district”) to the west side (the “Arts district”). The truth is however, the only people that use that bridge are the nigs and it is already plastered with graffiti. Now they are building a billion dollar hospital, after leveling two blocks that consisted of small family owned businesses spanning generations. The area has 3 hospitals already, so the geniuses decided to consolidate them into one large hospital in the middle of Utica. They forgot about parking, so currently they are using their abuse of power through eminent domain to scrap two more blocks of businesses. Utica is also building the Nexus center, a complete waste of tax payer funded sports complex. Perhaps they will open it up to the nigs to come in and play basketball, since they destroyed the local outdoor parks. Lastly, Utica plans to “revitalize” downtown at the tune of a half-a-billion dollars, by building places to house restaurants and shopping areas. The plan also includes hundreds of low cost apartments for the residents to be closer to enjoy the features Utica has to offer.

Back in the 80’s I left California to move to Rome NY. I got a job at FX Matts Brewing Company in Utica. I have to say that even then the place was a complete shithole. NY is a perfect example of what happens when the left sinks it’s roots and ideas into a community. I saw the evolution of destruction begging in the 70’s. I was born in Rome but was relocated to California when I was 6 months old. We would make summer trips to Rome from California to visit our huge extended family that still lived there. When my father had several heart attacks and new his time was limited my parent’s being at the retirement age decided to move back to Rome. So I decided to move for the benefit of my mother knowing that my Father wasn’t going to last for very long. My memory of the area going back to the early 70’s is that the a place was in sharp decline. Rome Cable, Revere Cooper many other companies had folded operations in NY due to Government regulation on Industry even back then. E Dominick St. was lined with empty and decaying Industrial buildings that no longer were good for anything, Utica was the same situation. FX Matts was really the only game in town for any type of real manufacturing remaining and even then it was old and decrepit. Most people there worked in Government job’s at some capacity. It used to amaze me that everyone I knew there blamed everyone but the Government for the plight that had infested their once thriving community, not one gave a minutes thought that it was their lefty ideas that had destroyed their once thriving community. My father past and my mother eventually remarried a life long friend and moved to Florida. I left there after just 3 years and have never looked back, I don’t miss it a bit. I have never set foot in that state after that, It is the example of what happened to the United States. Maybe we just refused to see it and allowed the moral decease to undermine our cherished way of life. Now it’s the free shit army running us into the ground all over America. We seem to refuse to blame our own ideas and lack of action for what’s wrong. “An enemy crept in unawares” and by our own inaction’s and complacencies we allowed them to destroy us, and destroyed us they have..

I was raised in suburban Lansdale in the 50’s- mid 70’s and I agree with 90% of your essay.

I disagree with your take on the war in the Ukraine. Russia has been killing Ukrainians for 300 years in pursuit of their empire. Less than 100 years ago they intentionally starved 3-5 million Ukrainians to death in the Holodomor under Stalin. Both of the Maidan events were legitimate popular uprisings. Was our Revolution illegitimate because the French helped us? The Russians have done far worse to Ukraine than England ever did to us, including a far more vicious invasion after Ukraine finally one its independence. Should we have rolled over from 1812-1815? It is unfortunate that a commitment to freedom from oppression now costs so much. However, if we don’t help defend it, what is the point of our being? I suspect it was expensive for the French too, and Russia is a far more evil empire than England at the time.

I enjoy your website, but I don’t get its pro-Russian bias. Communism is the most evil ideology ever perpetrated on a pretty nasty world. Russia birthed it, nurtured it, and now wants to resurrect it with everything but collectives.

“While everyone would celebrate a car bombing campaign against the neocons, these things never go as planned and quickly become a new problem. Killing Dugin would have angered Russia, but killing his daughter infuriates the world. It underscores the fact that Western leaders are gangsters without scruples. They will kill everyone if that is what it takes to reach the end times they are pursuing.

In the end, the larger story here is not the dynamics of war or how great powers can easily maneuver themselves into conflict. The real issue is the danger of having large empires ruled by alien elites. If the people running the American empire cared at all about the people, this never would have come to pass. They do no care so they do not think about the consequences to the people. It turns out that giving dangerous sociopaths like the neocons access to power is suicidal.”

If the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chippewa, Sioux and Apache nations starting shelling American cities causing mass causalities amongst the civilian population, should the US military invade their reservations? Not a good analogy. Uks didn’t start shelling Russian cities. They started shelling their own territories that were in rebellion against the rest of Ukraine. And, that rebellion was aided and abetted by Russia supplying arms and “volunteers” who were merely spetznaz who cut off their patches. More like if the Chinese sent arms and soldiers to Calif., which then declared itself independent and started shelling Nevada and Arizona. Besides that, the US didn’t undertake genocide against the original Americans. Ninety percent had died of disease spread by French fur traders long before there was a US. Agreed that the US took advantage of the native populations that refused to abandon their stone-age lifestyle, but there was never a gov’t policy to exterminate all Originals. If there were, they would all be long gone. Rather, we have been supporting them for over 150 years.

Bullshit. The whole shitshow began with a military coupe, against a democratic elected government. Then came the war. The cities the Bolsheviks shelled were Russian cities. The region is a Russian region and if the coke head Boslhevik clown faggot had not been installed by a Western Zio-Bolshevik fomented coupe, the majority of country would be pro-Russian today . Don’t you believe in self-determination, Larry. A slav is a slav. The Ukrainians and Russians are brothers.

The analogy’s stand. If Indians started massacring American, because of loss of territory hundred of years ago, Uncle Schlomo would invade their reservations and finish annihilating the remnant. Might makes right. Always has. The Ukraine is not our problem. If you want to go fight ‘ communists’ , what the fuck are you waiting for? Have at it.

Also , you sound like you might glow, bro…

What Lincoln’s Army Did to the Indians

With this attitude, Sherman issued the following order to his troops at the beginning of the Indian Wars: “During an assault, the soldiers cannot pause to distinguish between male and female, or even discriminate as to age. As long as resistance is made, death must be meted out . . .” (Marszalek, p. 379).

Most of the raids on Indian camps were conducted in the winter, when families would be together and could therefore all be killed at once. Sherman gave Sheridan “authorization to slaughter as many women and children as well as men Sheridan or his subordinates felt was necessary when they attacked Indian villages” (Fellman, p. 271). All livestock was also killed so that any survivors would be more likely to starve to death.

Sherman was once brought before a congressional committee after federal Indian agents, who were supposed to be supervising the Indians who were on reservations, witnessed “the horror of women and children under military attack.” Nothing came of the hearings, however. Sherman ordered his subordinates to kill the Indians without restraint to achieve what he called “the final solution of the Indian problem,” and promised that if the newspapers found out about it he would “run interference against any complaints about atrocities back East” (Fellman, p. 271).

Yet another stellar opus.

It mirrors my own experience watching my beloved town and region go from one of bucolic beauty to overbuilt and paved over, the brooks that once ran clear year round dried up and filled with trash. All the farm fields where I searched for arrowheads as child turned into an endless series of strip malls filled with nail salons and Starbucks shops.

Leaving was the hardest thing we ever did, but we couldn’t stay. It would have been a slow, soul crushing death to stay and watch it transform into something even worse. I wish I could go back and dig up the remains of my people and bring them back with me rather than to leave them buried in a strange land.

Yesterday a friend came up from the city to look at a house for sale nearby and he helped out with chores, then stayed for dinner. The neighbors came up and we had a simple meal of fresh vegetables and grilled steaks and then sat out on the terrace in the declining light with a small fire and a glass of wine. It could not have been a more beautiful evening; a light warm breeze, the emerging fog of stars across the blue-black sky, the sound of the sheep grazing nearby and the cattle lowing softly from the back forty to their calves.

We are going to come through this but the nation is lost. That’s a hard pill to swallow and some of us are never going to accept that, they will fight it and struggle with the loss right up until the end when the solution is so simple and self-evident.

Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

What you actually said is “ With real inflation averaging over 10% per year during this time frame”. That is the direct quote.

And that is entirely inaccurate, and would mean prices would have gone up over 13 times in 27 years – maybe well over 13 times depending on what “over 10%” means. You said real inflation has averaged over 10% since 1995. That is what you said.

And it is flat out wrong, and any simple bit of math work will show you it is flat out wrong. It is miles from the reality. All the shadow stats etc cannot make that accurate, because take any product – any – from 1995 and see if it is now 13 times higher in actual dollars. Good luck finding even one example, much less a basket of goods.

It is dead wrong. It really is inarguable.

Maybe there you got a bit exuberant with the keyboard. But seriously, that bit is simply not correct. This stuff needs to be accurate, and that bit there just ain’t.

At 5% real inflation, that comes to around 3.7 times more for a basket of goods. That seems in the ballpark to me. But 13 times more for a basket of goods, which is what 10% means over 27 years, well, that isn’t in the realm of reality.

It hasn’t average 7% either as that would be over 6 times more for a basket of goods. Things simply have not gone up that much – not housing, not cars, not gas, not food. You will be able to find some examples at that level, but not many.

Anything that cannot be automated and relies on labor will keep skyrocketing – medicine, tuition, etc. And energy will ebb and flow – but am expecting continued high inflation there as they stupidly stop mining, stop coal, stop drilling, and force people into “clean” energy.

Shit is getting real.

m could learn how to man up. Hope he learns something about how to do it from our fearless leader around here.

Friend of mine had a child slam their chin on the playground needing stitches. Went to pediatrician, who said that they don’t do that (which is totally lame, since even I could do it in our kitchen) and sent them to the ER. Total bill for 3 hours of waiting, twice application of numbing ointment and 3 stitches done by resident: $580. Paid out of pocket even with health insurance because it was under the deductible for the year.

You got away cheap.
My 3rd son cut his thumb and needed several stiches over
20 years ago. Normally my doctor family would come over and do it
in a few minutes, but they were all out of town. Went to the local
ER and 3 hours of waiting later the ER doc sewed him up in about 3 minutes. Total bill over $900. WE who can pay, pay for those that can’t.

I helped a friend sew up his left hand little finger as he used a filet knife with that hand stuck in a catfish head fixing to skin the catfish with a skinning tool in his right hand. Left hand slipped on that filet knife, blade outward. My friend was not on dope or alcohol so kind of unusual the oversight. I cringe thinking about that to this day. Anyway, my first suture experiment. The friend could never move that little finger again but between the two of us we got ‘er sewed up.

Not a joy to read, but an excellent chronicle of dystopia. As things devolve, the world will need writing like this, as a map of where we are. Thanks.

That our country is going straight to hell is not debatable. The only thing left to debate, is whether or not the so called citizens will ever get off their fat, cowardly asses and do anything about it. I seriously doubt it. I have little or no faith in my fellow human beings….

I feel the same way. By the time the famine kicks in and the looting/rioting starts it’s too late. In the meantime the dummies just keep lining up for “vaccines” and wearing face diapers. Humanity is a complete joke. Exceptions noted.

They are bussing the illegals deeper into the country.
5+ million across he border since Biden so far and the tempo is increasing.
Once upon a time common thinking was that 10 rounds in a mag was enough, then 20, 30 and now I heard it through the grapevine that 40 is de rigueur.
I personally condemn all violence.
Until it becomes necessary.

the mag latch was designed for 20. 30 stresses it. 40 is too much.

Are you talking .223/5.56 or 7.62×39? I don’t have the AR.

With my AK ( look out, he’s got a gun!) a fully loaded 30 round magazine is like carrying a sack of bricks. Same weight, two 30 round mags or three 20 round mags. I’m selling the 30’s though and replacing with 20’s. That big ole “banana clip” is too cumbersome on the AK at least for me.

Just buy and load a bunch of 20 rd. mags.
They never jam and a box of ammo contains 20.
Switching them out when empty takes under 1 second.

even if you use 30-cap, keep a mag or two of 20, or even 10, in a pocket, for use in constricted spaces.

What I’m talking about. No issues with jams however with the 30’s, just a cumbersome feel when in the AK. I’ll sell the 30 rounds mags as hunting season nears at a “local” flea market event. First, I must replace with 20’s and last I looked some retailers have become very proud of their prices on 20 round mags.

Texas ranchers have used the labor from across the Rio Grande since Texas joined the union and before. I have sat in coffee shops in Central Texas listening to local ranchers talk about wet backs they have working for them. They just laugh and then go vote for republicans. Oh well.

“The aura of pessimism about the future and fear that our superpower status, only in existence since 1946, is rotting from within permeates the psychology of those actually willing to think critically and see what is really happening. The existing social order will be extinguished during the waning years of this Fourth Turning. We are in the interval between the decay of the old and formation of the new, whatever that may be.”

And therein lies the biggest clue as to the reason for this demise, when the those that detest Christ-ian culture went into overdrive. The “blessings” to this country have been reaped in spades with “beneficial” spillover to the entire western world as the US became its executive/enforcement arm.

1948 is yet another key date. If you know you know, if you understand you understand. If not, you’ve been and continue to play their game.

Always food for thought, Admin. In 1995, the township where I lived was booming. The mall was packed full and properties were in demand. Fast forward years and the mall became a place where the popo looked for bodies and a six mile by six mile area had blight all around.
