Yep, that is true. I remember at least 20 years ago that they said they had a computer sim that modeled every person on earth, as well the solar system and beyond (why?), so the could predict terrorism (the excuse). Of course just like the weather, the ability to predict is also the ability to control / manipulate. And that is at least one reason they vacuum up all the data that they can, to feed this beast.
Wish I could find the article which I shared widely at the time, and have looked for since , but it seems to have been memory holed.
That woman, bless her heart, did not understand that you don’t fight for your children through FOIA requests. The moment they wanted her to go that route, she should have just done the most logical thing. Would have saved her and her children a lot of energy and grief. Make the system obsolete. It’s really not that difficult. Be mad as hell and don’t take it any more.
We have been members of 2 different homeschool coops over the years. One was a 45 minute drive south and the other a 45 minute drive north. It was common to have to drive really far to find homeschool groups that got together, simply because we were so spread out.
I received an email the other day announcing 5 different new homeschool coops that are starting in the 2023-24 school year, all within 20 minutes drive for us. Some of them meet every weekday from 9am-2pm and have classes taught by hired teachers or parents for all grade levels. Those really try to recreate a school day, but with maximum input of the parents into the curriculum, the materials and the overall content. Other coops are more of a social gathering at a park or playground, and yet others meet once a week for selected parent led classes, in a library or church building or something like that.
At the bottom of the email, the sender wrote that “given the much larger numbers of homeschoolers and the overall unacceptable situation in public schools, we are trying to ramp up what we can offer to homeschool families to meet the needs of their children.”
I have a theory about the general dynamics of homeschooling in the last few years.
There were a large number of families whose children went to public school in 2019 and before. Then, with Covid, they realized relatively quickly that remote learning didn’t work for them, for a number of reasons (didn’t want to mask their children, didn’t like to place 6 year olds in front of a screen for 6 hours straight etc.). Those took their children out of the system and homeschooled them. They kinda liked it, but felt a sense of relief when schools finally went back to something more normal, so they put their children back into the public school in the 2022/23 school year.
But THEN, they realized that the content of what their children were learning had completely changed during the great Covid absence.
And NOW, those parents are pulling their children back out for the 2023/24 school year, but for completely other reasons than Covid. They don’t want their children exposed to the ideology of the schools any longer.
My prediction is that those families will homeschool for good and will never put their children back.
If I was a superintendent of a public school, and my funding was based on enrollment numbers, I would be afraid, very afraid.

And by the way, anyone who thinks that continuing to have the government STEAL on their behalf via “school choice” is going to fix the problems inherent in having government involved in education…is completely naive. So long as THEY are using their POWER AND VIOLENCE to STEAL from everyone, THEY will continue to control how the money is spent, what demands are placed on the recipients, etc. Meanwhile, parasites will run after the easy money by opening horrible schools, the good schools will either raise their tuition in the amount of the vouchers to remain exclusive, or will REJECT the vouchers and the strings that come with them (a far better solution if allowed), and good schools that try to open but do not take the vouchers if allowed, will not be able to compete or survive. Government simply needs to go.

There is something much homeschool help available, the coops are nice, but for us country rednecks, can be a long way away. So Many options available to keep the kids what used to be normal
