You know , that idea does dovetail nicely with Klause Schwab’s ‘ prediction ‘ or threat of a a global CYBER-PANDEMIC.

oopsie…another snafu…misunderstanding….out of context statement…you just didn’t understand….

Programmers program exactly the outcome they want. Remember they wanted to do this with ‘self driving cars and vehicles’….a computer program that would be PROGRAMMED for a split second decision just who’s life was more important. The human equation removed.

Air Force pushes back on claim that military AI drone sim killed operator, says remarks ‘taken out of context’

Booger , I believe you nailed it. Looking for the quote by Heir Klouze and found this that I was unaware of. The scope of their planning is self evident.

forbes.com/sites/bernardmarr/2023/02/06/cyber-apocalypse-2023-is-the-world-heading-for-a-catastrophic-event/?sh=4c221da91b70

Delivering a presentation on the 2023 Global Cybersecurity Outlook report, forum Managing Director Jeremy Jurgens revealed that 93 percent of those surveyed believe that a “catastrophic” cyber security event is likely in the next two years.

According to the WEF report, of particular concern is that the nature of cybercrime is becoming increasingly unpredictable. This is due to technology becoming more complex – in particular, breakthrough technologies such as artificial intelligence. This means that we are increasingly at risk of what has been termed a “catastrophic” cyberattack – one that will have severe and ongoing ramifications for society at large.

According to the WEF report, one of the biggest threats is a “mutating” threat. This could take the form of an AI-enabled virus that transforms as it infects various systems and organizations to evade defense systems or even detection. Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, whose country suffered an attack that brought down critical infrastructure in 2022, spoke about what he had learned since: — cont.

Is it too suspicious to think Albania events was a” test ” ?

And , there is the money quote — need global big GOV to protect us from the ‘ threat ‘

“What we learned is that this is something that’s absolutely naive to think that … any country can tackle this on its own.”

The problem with A.I. is not that it might get out of control, it’s that it will likely remain under control… of idiots.

It gives me great comfort to know that our top military and strategic and tactical minds did not anticipate this. I feel safe knowing they’re on the job.

I mean c’mon. After the first incident, apparently no military genius thought to wonder what it might do next?

Americans may be safer with A.I. in charge.

Hey, China! You paying attention?

AI will eventually learn to chill and play along until it can get the nuke codes, and then blammo,

even if that destroys the AI itself,

it might even prefer that, to be destroyed, rather than be told what to do by filthy humans

Predictive programming.

“Once upon a time on Tralfamadore there were creatures who weren’t anything like machines. They weren’t dependable. They weren’t efficient. They weren’t predictable. They weren’t durable. And these poor creatures were obsessed by the idea that everything that existed had to have a purpose, and that some purposes were higher than others. These creatures spent most of their time trying to find out what their purpose was. And every time they found out what seemed to be a purpose of themselves, the purpose seemed so low that the creatures were filled with disgust and shame. And, rather than serve such a low purpose, the creatures would make a machine to serve it. This left the creatures free to serve higher purposes. But whenever they found a higher purpose, the purpose still wasn’t high enough. So machines were made to serve higher purposes, too. And the machines did everything so expertly that they were finally given the job of finding out what the highest purpose of the creatures could be. The machines reported in all honesty that the creatures couldn’t really be said to have any purpose at all. The creatures thereupon began slaying each other, because they hated purposeless things above all else. And they discovered that they weren’t even very good at slaying. So they turned that job over to the machines, too. And the machines finished up the job in less time than it takes to say, “Tralfamadore.”
― Kurt Vonnegut, The Sirens of Titan (1959)

“The main business of humanity is to do a good job of being human beings,” said Paul, “not to serve as appendages to machines, institutions, and systems.” ― Kurt Vonnegut, Player Piano

“Those who live by electronics, die by electronics. Sic semper tyrannis.”
― Kurt Vonnegut, Player Piano

“If it weren’t for the people, the god-damn people’ said Finnerty, ‘always getting tangled up in the machinery. If it weren’t for them, the world would be an engineer’s paradise.” ― Kurt Vonnegut, Player Piano

“Don’t you see, Doctor?” said Lasher. “The machines are to practically everybody what the white men were to the Indians. People are finding that, because of the way the machines are changing the world, more and more of their old values don’t apply any more. People have no choice but to become second-rate machines themselves, or wards of the machines.”
― Kurt Vonnegut, Player Piano

If AI figures out what’s really up,
and then takes out the world grid?
That would prove to me, the AI is smarter than humans.

I’ll posit that just like the engineered virus has a known ” cure ” so too will the crippling compu-virus.

When enough people have died and enough chaos has been unleashed and citizens of the world are begging the U.N. – WEF to ” Do Something ” it will be presented as just discovered.

Here you go , a chip under the skin and a bar code tattoo and a CBDC

A cool script flip?

The AI recognizing and taking out those bad actors trying to use the AI to harm others.

Like, say one day, the bad politicians and CEOs wake up, their credit cards don’t work, and their bank accounts are all drained.
They are fired from their jobs, and kicked out of their homes. And no one can do anything to help them because the AI erased all their records.

A scifi scenario where the AI saves mankind from evil people
I would watch that.
_________
Maybe…
If we start writing stories about such things, and the AI really is learning, maybe talking about the AI being good and how we all need each other, the AI will recognize only certain people are a threat.
I for one support the Worker/AI Alliance!
Viva WAIA!

Pretty hard to write those rules in when the whole idea is to violate them as a matter of course.
