TRIGGER FOR NEXT FINANCIAL IMPLOSION

“U.S. Banks are facing some $600 billion of unrealized losses, roughly 25% of total banking capital, near the highest levels in history.” – Automatic Earth

 (Getty/Salon)

The U.S. banking system and likely, the global banking system, is essentially bankrupt. They just won’t admit it and central bankers won’t let them admit it. These “brilliant” Harvard Business School and Wharton trained financial geniuses thought it was a great idea to load up their institutions with mortgage and Treasury bonds when they were paying 0.5%. Now the ten year Treasury is 4.58%. Even a dolt like AOC or Pelosi should know bonds lose value when rates go up.

So here we are with banks almost $600 billion underwater in their bond holdings, waiting for our next Minsky Moment. Those living in a fantasy world of no consequences aren’t worried, because these banks don’t have to realize these losses unless they sell.

After re-watching The Big Short last week, I realized we are about to see history rhyme. There was an interminable period prior to the 2008 financial crash where the Wall Street cabal, government bureaucrats, central bankers, rating agencies, home buyers, and stock investors all pretended everything was fine. As the toxic fraudulent mortgages began to default because Mexican migrant workers and topless dancers couldn’t make the payments on their $500,000 mortgages, the banks actually marked their CDO and CLO weapons of mass financial destruction up in price. They were going to keep on dancing until the music ended. Extend and pretend kept the good times rolling. Until it didn’t.

Once the wrong grain of sand falls on the weakest part of the sand pile we call our financial system, the collapse will commence. Once the losses start to mount, these Wall Street banks will be forced to sell in order to generate liquidity. I know it’s coming. You know it’s coming. They know it’s coming. It’s just a matter of when. The Fed’s balance sheet will be doubled again in a fruitless effort to save their corrupt system once more.

We are in the waning years of this Fourth Turning. This will not be resolved peacefully or by kicking the can down the road once again. We are about to reap what Washington and Wall Street have sown since 2008.

I’ve listened to the entire Fall of Civilizations podcast series at least three times each-excellent series if you have the time- and they almost all feature the same set of circumstances surrounding their collapse; devaluation and/or debasement of the currency for those with a monetary system, front loading the administration of government with eunuchs, rapid and uncontrolled influx of foreign population via mass migration, distraction of native population via games, entertainment, and sexual degeneracy, soil exhaustion in formerly productive agricultural regions, constant state of warfare and military expeditions afield leaving the homelands undefended, widespread corruption of government, massive building or monument projects at the expense of critical infrastructure repairs and maintenance.

The eunuch thing was a surprise, but a consistent artifact of a culture on its way out.

That was the point. There appears to be a fascination with the sexually mutilated amongst the elites near the end of empire. The narrator tried to explain it away by saying castrated men have no family, therefore they can focus more attention on administrative duties or that by keeping them from having offspring they will have no one to leave their fortunes to, but there’s got to be something more than that underlying the endless repetition of this phenomenon across millenia.

Just a curious bit of acrcana.

Haven’t listened to any of the podcasts you mentioned, but sexual deviancy is part and parcel with evil. So, imo, its not for any reasons of offspring or duty concentration, but the natural outcome of evil. Which always involves overt sexual deviancy by its adherents. Its what evil does.

and yes, I agree. Its is a curious bit. But it seems also an established pattern

It is a fundamental denial of what it means to be human. There was an aspect of being free to focus on the State instead of family in the Cult of Statism. The deeper reality is denial of humanity though. It manifests today in the LGTBQ+ and transhumanist cyborg movements.

It is a sign of the end because these manifestations of Statism forget their humanity and who the State serves, the people and they elevate themselves above average people and God. It is a type of psychopathy.

Along with that comes the medical ‘professionals’ and ‘educators’ who willfully and dedicatedly work to surgically and chemically emasculate and sterilize children against their parents’ wishes. Let us not forget the ‘parents’ who encourage the destruction of their children so they can get the attention and claim to be woke.

What’s fascinating about comparing the collapse of the former USA and that of the western Roman Empire, is not so.much how they so closely parallel each other, and they do, but how the collapse of the FUSA is happening so much faster, yes it began in 1913 with the Fed’s crea, but now we’re seeing a collapse that happened over centuries in Rome taking months in America. The Biden Regime has damaged the country more in the less than three years of its existence than the Romans suffered in decades or even centuries of its period of collapse.
I think that a major military adventure is, if not next up, will be soon, one that team FUSA will lose, and that will be the prelude to the final collapse.

soil exhaustion in formerly productive agricultural regions

I aspired to be a farmer at one time but after being locked in corporate America for some years. It was my choice, I “blame” no one. That does not mean I am out of touch with farming, at least on paper.

An acquaintance worked for Acres USA magazine in Austin , Texas. The tenure of that employment was under the direction of Fred Walters at the time.

Acres USA is where I learned about Joel Salatin and I read a number of publications written by founder , Charles Walton. Mr. Walton was a huge proponent of Eco-Farmers. Honestly I had never given the subject of “Chemical Amateurs vs. Eco-Farmers” much thought. In the city peeps just buy some commercial fertilizer and broadcast it on their lawns and sometimes too much so the grass burns up. And they think they must keep up with the Jones that beautiful water slurping San Augustine grass. There is nothing that says peeps in Texas will not have water supply issues but a different subject.

I don’t know the answer to mass farming commodity production without the chemicals, just saying , how that means of production is around for a long time. I’m not a “tree hugger” , only given thought to destruction of soil quality in areas like the Mississippi Delta not to mention that which washes into the great Mississippi River.

History not only echoes, it most certainly repeats.
Now look to what happened when Rome fell and act
accordingly. Not only for your self, but for your line.
The Dark Ages followed, but the prepared survived
and birthed the Renaissance centuries later
with the help of The Church where ancient knowledge was preserved.
Take the long view for free men, the short view for those you love.
Ammo up.

A storm is most certainly coming. If you can’t see the dark clouds and

I’ll say it again and again. The financial collapse will start in China and flow through Asia first.
China lies about it’s finances more than any country in the world. Almost all the problems we have in this country (excluding crime) China has even worse.
The good thing is that gives at least a little time/warning for even stupid people to finally wake up and prepare for what’s coming. I think China will go for Taiwan before any thing big happens with Ukraine.

An analogy you may or may not agree with: have you noticed how poorly all the newly arrived “refugees” drive on American roads? They have no, zero, cultural reference for operating an automobile. Americans grew up in automobiles. Roads and driving are familiarities for us for literally as long as we can remember.

Now multiply this times 1.5 billion chinamen, coming from yurts, trying to make products, build cities, fight modern wars. No Cultural Experience.

When was the last time the Chinese military fought a peer modern war? Peer air battles, sea battles, land battles? I will wait for replies. China can’t even feed itself. China is a fucking joke.

China’s an economic powerhouse the same way USA is: insane leverage. The same way 1930’s Germany was; read about MEFO Bills. For coming up with the scheme to finance the war, Hjalmar Schacht was tried at Nuremberg.

It’s all fake, leveraged bullshit. Does that mean tens or hundreds of millions won’t die in ww3? Nope, quite the contrary, it virtually guarantees ww3 happens in order to cover up the looting, fraud, malfeasance, etc.

But that doesn’t mean China’s not a giant fraudulent joke. It sure as hell doesn’t mean China knows how to conduct theatre-level military operations. Were they smart enough to buy our government? Yep they were.

Cadre of experienced and battle-hardened NCOs, Captains, Majors, Colonels? Nope. Experience projecting force globally? Nope. Flight training schools where experienced combat pilots share their personal experiences? Nope. Campaigns where they used multilevel combined arms (ground, air, space, surveillance, electronic, etc)? Nope.

Fleet nuclear attack subs deployed globally? Nope. Overseas bases for these to put in, resupply? Nope. Most people don’t understand how devastating a weapon the attack boats are.

Giant buildings full of trained hackers to destroy our infrastructure? Yep.

The Russians are also very adept at hacking, plus has an actual experienced military. Russia could beat China with one hand tied behind its back.

Legions of flag officers who got where they are by sucking Xi’s dick? Yep. Human wave attacks? Yep. # of officers and enlisteds capable of exercising individual initiative? ZERO.

I think they will keep it cobbled together until they can no longer sell American inflation overseas via the dollar reserve currency. That avenue is a release valve on the domestic economy and as long as it holds they can grift, scam and steal with near impunity. When the reserve currency fails there will be a short period of time where ALL of the inflation will be felt here. Then Hyperinflation. Then the crash. What triggers the end of the international dollar trade is up for grabs.

The US government and the oligarchy that upholds it is a parasitic cancer on the world. It produces nothing and seeks to consume everything. It will continue to do so until it is stopped. It began laying plans before the end of WWII and has been in operation since that time.
The American people cannot and will not stop it (hate to hurt a lot of folks feelings with that). The system does not see you as a threat. It knows it can and will control you with the militarized police forces and federal agencies. If it viewed you as a threat it would have the US military here and not in the 800+ overseas bases.
The WORLD will have to stop it. Foreign nations will have to realize that they must crush it or be crushed by it because there is no living in peace with it. We are financially destroying our non-Anglo allies in Europe now just to destroy Russia. We will do the same to South Korea and Japan to destroy China. Some nations have come to realize that already. Crushing the dollar reserve is the first step IF…IF they can pull it off. Short of that will be some kind of holocaust.

After the welfare dries up and the parasite class start to starve inside the blue cities massive riots and looting will begin. The police will be unable to stop entire populations of inner city blacks and browns looting. The docile passive whites in urban areas will be robbed and killed. The rest will flee. The cities will devolve into street gang/warlord governed areas much like Africa.

After they run out of resources in the city proper they will push out into the suburbs adjacent to the major cities and continue their attacks. They will be met with some resistance but not enough as many moderate, weak Americans still reside in these areas. These are the Six-Pack Joe types that just want to grill and watch sportsball. They never thought it could happen here. They didn’t prepare because “Murica.” They will ultimately be conquered by the ferals. They will be enslaved or killed if they are unable to flee. Police and military will be unable to stem the violence. They will be consumed with protecting major infrastructure like power plants, water facilities and the command staff of such institutions.

Next the ferals will attempt to push further out into rural areas. This is where they are met by the hardened classes of men. Men who work with their hands, the soil, operate heavy machinery and use firearms. The raids will be repelled by these men and force them to form communities of likeminded individuals. The entire urban landscape burns while rural areas of self sufficient rise from the ashes. I hope you all have a well, firewood and some method of food production. Or a skill you can trade for these.

In the end, the US Empire comes crashing down. China invades through Canda. Russia nukes DC and we all probably end up dead. The world ends in nuclear holocaust and Christ returns to judge this godless world.

Fun thought experiment.

There isn’t going to be a nuclear holocaust. The NWO wants to rule the world, not destroy it (entirely). The upcoming financial implosion is part of their Agenda 2030 plan, along with the Ukraine war, COVID-19 scamdemic, COVID-19 kill shots, (upcoming) climate lockdowns, domestic unrest, unlimited illegal immigration into the U.S. and Western European countries, and everything else that is going on now. Ultimately they want to reduce the world population to 500 million and herd the survivors into tightly controlled and tightly monitored 15-minute cities, with a one world government (them), and a cashless society (CBDC) with social credit scores for everyone except themselves.

The NWO includes every major intelligence agency (NSA, CIA, FBI, MI-5, MI-6, Mossad, and all of the rest). They know everything that might happen, long before it happens. There is no way that any rogue actor or network could pull off anything major unless the NWO wanted it to happen. And even if some rogue terrorist group did manage to detonate a nuclear bomb somewhere without approval from the NWO it would just be one isolated event, not a nuclear holocaust. In fact an isolated nuclear blast in some major city could very well be part of their plan, but it won’t be a nuclear holocaust.

Ok, if we are gaming here are my thoughts:

SOMETHING NECESSARY TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE INTERCONNECTED GOVERNMENTS OF LONDON, WASHINGTON DC & THE VATICAN AND THE MOUNTAINS OF PROPAGANDA, BRAINWASHING AND DUMBING DOWN COMING FROM THESE 3 CITY STATES…AKA…THE WHORE OF BABYLON…for CENTURIES:

The Whore’s control and power is coming to a prophetic head:

Wherever you are reading this, by self-association you are in a select group of high information people with a much larger understanding of the issues than your local network. That means you know, comprehend, understand and have a level of insight and discernment that is far above average. Now, let me be brutally honest.

Factually speaking, all of the masses of people within the mechanisms of these three interconnected City States…the people you associate with being key allies to fight back against the visible demonic corruption; the people you assign hope toward; are not as smart as you…because most are clueless about this unholy trinity…and their spiritual/historical past.

Re-read that as needed…I am aware of it.

And understand the Unholy 3 City State Trinity…is (in my humble opinion) the ‘WHORE OF BABYLON’ described in the Bible.

comment image

The Whore of Babylon is not the entire USA or NYC. The US however is going to implode in many ways and will not be an international factor in last days events in the Mideast…that is coming sooner rather than later.

Jay,

What is possible is after the BRICS devour the Babylon City State System (London/DC/The Vatican) with the collapse of their fiat counterfeiting system that has allowed them to capture all the power centers of the world…they (the BRICS) would gain world dominance (with the destruction of the US Empire – as well as London/the Vatican going down as well) and then the BRICS evolve into the dominate international ‘BEAST’ and BEAST SYSTEM of prophecy.

What we have right now is just Game of Throne Demonic Cabals (both the Whore of Babylon 3 City States and the BRICS) fighting for control of the controls of the upcoming Globalist NWO….that will become the BEAST SYSTEM.

Now it is from that BEAST SYSTEM the Little Horn (the Antichrist) rises up through…and takes over what has already been built.

Just white boarding here…

Jay,

I completely agree…I’m just a Believer doing his best to understand prophecy as it seems I have had the amazing experience to live through some of the end of the beginning so far.

I am by no means saying what I have posted above is exactly ‘who is what’ or ‘I know what I believe as stated is going to happen’…it is just what I believe at this time.

It just makes sense to me as I stated above – at this time.

The Bible is full of evil being humbled, humiliated, and reversed in immediate or extremely short time frames SUPERNATURALLY!

I expect that again in our time…even more so as I believe we are at the end of the close…and I also expect every prophecy to be fulfilled to the exact word at the exact time predicted.

Much known only to God.

My most important prayer is to be used and to be part of God’s devoted and undeterred BOLD Remnant…as he always keeps a remnant for Himself…and that is where I want be…walking point.

Just finished reading the trilogy by William Forstchen (One Second After; One Year After; The Final Day) about a massive EMP over America and what you laid out is described in great detail. I think it will start when the EBT cards will no longer be able to provide enough food due to supply and/or cost. The ferals will start taking what they want and the LEO will retreat to get their families to safety.

The suburbs of Memphrica have a lot of rednecks who will thin the ranks of the roving gangs before they can get to the rural folks. The suburbs of NYC will be toast as they have let the government disarm them under the guise of “gun control”. In NJ, gun control is defined as limiting the number and type of weapons a person can own. In TN, we consider a tight 3-shot grouping to be gun control.

I’ve only gone to shows in FL, AZ, ID, UT, and MT. There are always non-dealer tables at the shows, but you still need to use one of the background check tables to buy from them. Maybe it’s just the show rules for the ones we’ve been to. I do know that private sales between private buyers happen all the time outside of gun shows, but I don’t think that’s what they mean by “gun show loophole”.

Tex

I can understand various state and municipal governments having their own separate rules how shows are conducted. In Texas I can pay for a table or perhaps I would need 2-3 tables stacked with crates of AKs, SKS, Mosins and sell them all day long as a “unlicensed vendor”. Those are days gone by the wayside of course but if a guy had the crates full of surplus firearms he could sell them like hotcakes no FFL. “We” use to buy them all the time and the only “requirement”, cash.

Tex

In Texas you don’t need a booth and the point. However there are those that lay the firearms out on a table without FFL. They always ask if you want to sell what you carrying but of course at unreasonable offers. Nothing says a person renting a table has to FFL. Come on. I can get a table if I have the money and sell any firearm I want without FFL. This is Texas. Only a FFL dealer will have a table that runs a background check.

TN Patriot
TN Patriot

Tex, what I am saying is that most of the tables are rented by dealers so they can sell their stock. Most individuals do not have enough guns for sale to make the table rental worthwhile, so they do not sell at gun shows.

Gun Show Loophole is a straw man argument for the anti-2A types who want a background check on EVERY single firearm transfer, even Father to Son gifts.

Will Rogers in Fort Worth caters to some of the larger shows in the state. The one I went to was sponsored by someone other than Premier. Premier advertises 1200 tables available and an 8′ table is priced at $90. What I notice is several individuals manning a table so that their table is full of various firearms and no FFL. Certainly there are many firearms dealers that have a ton of firearms , especially handguns, that run the check on the spot. In my area of the world there are shows but they are small and not really worth going to. Yes , there are some FFL vendors set up but at these smaller shows I notice more tables manned by no FFL. 8′ tables at the smaller shows are priced around $60. If I wanted to sell all my firearms $60-90 is not a whole lot. All I’m saying and I’m not making a appeal a firearms owner have his/her DNA “chipped” in the firearm. I’m 2nd amendment too and that amendment applies to citizens of the US. I’ve only made an observation anyone legally in the country or illegally in the country can purchase any number of variety of firearms. What am I going to do about it? Nothing, only observation. When I walked in the Lone Star Gun Show Sept. 16 the first table on the right after entry was manned by three men. They had at least 20 firearms for sale , mostly rifles and shotguns. In the very front of a rack was a very well preserved SKS with a sign reading $675 Cash. No one at that table was a licensed dealer. Not that it matters , $675 for an SKS is a shocker to me but that is the way firearms have gone, pricey.

I have taken 14 empty (actually abandoned ‘rural’ acres) owned by a ‘Hottie – Jelly Head – foolish woman right out of Proverbs (the kind He warns you about – who owned it) and bought it (two connected lots) for $112,500 in 2012 in four days…with the king…CASH!!!

King CASH was the deal closer. Got it then at almost 40k under market value as the owner seemed desperate or foolish or both…and I was right. My real estate agent was stunned.

This was after I told my wife with 4 more years of Obama facing us we need to go 100% full Prepper RETARD…with 100 round bursts! We almost were covered up with links.

Turned the two rural lots into a modest double gated compound/farm/homestead and built our dream home in woods in the back. A friend who follows real-estate told me if I answered the constant offers I could sell it for 1.2 mil.

I thought he was pulling my leg…but he wasn’t.

While there are lots of examples of increased home prices over the last few years, this is not a good one. This home was completely remodeled since it was last sold, so it’s a buy and flip and accurately represents what was put into it plus a little profit.
Have you seen what a new custom kitchen costs these days? I’m in the business and I’ve seen labor and material costs increase by 30% t0 60% since 2018.
When you want to value a property you have to take into account the land value in addition to the square foot cost of building from scratch.
This home just sold for $333 a square foot. That’s just conditioned living space. Add in the lot, garages, unconditioned spaces and you can see it’s priced well within current norms for the area.

Current norms for any area support the massive increase in buy/flip real estate.
Investors are buying and flipping hundreds of properties now that the VRBO thing isn’t profitable.
Expect properties in the lower percentile to crater this winter.
Properties such as the one above will maintain their value a while longer as the typical buyers don’t rely as much on interes rates/mortgages.

Used to work with a guy who bought 5 acres in Marion County back in 2002. He then built a small 3 BR house on it for himself, wife and his child. Last time I had a chance to visit with him in ’14 or ’15, he told me his house was now surrounded by huge houses worth 1/2 million. He was sitting pretty on his farmstead with his family, chickens, goats and a couple head of beef. He was debt free and only had to pay insurance and taxes. I’m sure his neighbors would love to get him out of there so they could get rid of his eyesore and add another 5 huge houses.

Yes, machines can do some of the work while millions of paper pushers get paid for shuffling numbers in a high rise office downtown, but America is no longer producing young males with morals and work ethic to keep things going. The feminist movement saw to that. Flipping houses and inflating the currency might work for awhile, but sooner or later those houses must be paid for or defaulted on. Women can claim their rights and equality all they want while going to a paper pusher job in a high rise building, but sooner or later someone has to give birth to children or else foreigners will invade the borders to take their place and their country.

Or load up on debt, buy all the toys and stuff you can. Who will collect that debt?? Banks going to want all those cars, boats, stuff??? Where will they put them all??

I have no debt, nor do I wish to assume debt, but in a financial collapse what exactly would the creditors do with all the reclaimed ‘stuff’? Nobody would be buying it.

The local Sheriff or PD will be hired by the banks after the rule of law disappears to evict you, or just shoot you if you refuse to leave.

Are you just plain stupid?!? That local sheriff is going to come over and evict or shoot you??? LOL

When the ‘rule’ of law disappears that sheriff isn’t going to be the bankers friend, he’s going to be a lot more amiable to the people living in the same community as he does.

Its not just bank debt either, that will get you ‘evicted’ but extortion debt ‘owed’ to the various govts. The govt gonna send the sheriff around to evict you from ‘your’ property because you haven’t paid your extortion fees?? That poor sheriff is gonna be very overworked and I suspect, not many will be compliant with his banker/govt demands to vacate.

When the rule of law disappears, those with guns will defend what they hold to. Some guy with a gun and tin badge demand’n they hand over their stuff and/or vacate their home. Might find himself in the revenurer predicament. buried out back in the woods.

It’s October. Been saying for months it will be October.

Student loan payments will pull $400/mo per borrower (averages) out of consumer spending. Oil is well above $90 and looking to make a push to $100 while FJB never refilled it from last election. UAW is on strike which put all the supplier companies out of work. Debt payments, just the debt, are at or above $1trillion annually now and new debt/old debt must be refinance at 5% or more.

Oct 1929, Oct 1987, Oct 1989, Sept 29, 2008 (Almost Oct), Oct 2023 is next.

Well, they can inflate their way as long as they can sell much of that inflation and treasury debt to other nations, or force other nations to buy said inflation and treasury debt in the form of the dollar denominated reserve currency scheme. When that finally fails war will come with sudden fury.

I have a gut feeling that most of the new US debt is being “purchased” by the Fed and has been for several years. It is called monetizing your debt and there is not a good ending for it.

The petro dollar has always been the sink to absorb inflation because nations needed to buy US dollars to purchase oil. Now business is also being conducted in rubles, yuan, and soon rupee. They can’t export inflation like they could even a year ago and it is only going to get worse.

The situation is actually a lot worse than what the article states. The fact is the entire bond market is corrupt, and is screwing everyone who has managed 401K or retirement accounts.
This is how it works. Even so called balanced funds, put nearly all the bond portion of the portfolio in corporate bonds, paying basically the same as US short term treasuries, despite having much higher risk.
The reason they do that is because they receive fees from the bond brokers for doing it, even though it is not in the best interest of their clients.
The average so called investment grade corporate bond, is rated BBB, is paying 4.5% and has a maturity of 3 to 5 years. You can get a US Treasury note paying the same interest with a AAa rating, and a 6 mo. maturity giving you liquidity and flexibility, but the fund manager does not get a kickback for investing in them.
Most investors given the choice, would opt for the shorter term higher rated investment, which would mean a lot more money going into Treasuries, and a lot less going into corporate bonds. The result would be even higher interest rates and less liquidity in the corporate sector. This would drive many more banks and corporations into insolvency and debt default.
Now average investors are stupid, but they are not that stupid. Within the next year or two, even the stupid people will figure out it is better to be buying Treasuries than stocks or corporate bonds, and most 401 plans have an option to do that, even if it is within a fund that does it.
The banks are in trouble now, because money is flowing out of banks and into Treasuries and money market funds, and that is only going to get worse going forward. Both banks and corporations are dependent on borrowing and the higher the cost of borrowing goes, the more banks and corporations sink into insolvency.
Make no mistake folks, there is no fixing this one. They have kicked the can into a brick wall, and now it is time for the debtors to pay up. Problem is, most do not have the money to do it.

Interesting…. This has hit the alternative media zeitgeist at the moment. Just started reading it, but mentioned on 2 or 3 podcasts I regularly listen to working hours of each other.

Basically, this guy is saying there is a legal structure already in place that says all stocks, bonds, etc. Owned through brokerage houses can be taken from basically everyone.

Personally, I’m not counting on any of my IRA money to ever be useful to me. This just underscores that thought.

There will come a point where if you don’t hold it, you don’t own it. At that point, unfortunately, finances will matter none at all.

falcon, you asked about my savings in property tax should Prop 4 pass in Nov. in Texas. I received the 2023 tax statement and it reflects about $115 less for the total tax bill. These be poor yet very fortunate peeps in this house so I refrain from listing appraised values etc. for privacy reasons. The taxable amount on our school, road district and county taxes along with “interest and sinking”, whatever that is, were frozen when applying for over 65 exemption. If I had to pay the taxes without the freeze we could do it but it would hurt the budget big time as appraisals are ridiculous here too. The tax bill reflects the 100k HS exemption on the school portion. I’m of contention I should not be paying for others’ kids schooling. I did so when I had kids in school and as far as I’m concerned legislators should vote to discontinue school taxing for seniors with no kids in the system, say discontinue it at age 65. Sounds “fair” to me. If a senior does have a dependent in the system , a grandchild etc. then they would not be exempt until those dependents have left the system. Imagine pay for what you use, don’t pay for what you don’t use. What a concept!

The killer now is the approximately 20% increase in homeowners and auto insurance. By law liability on auto is required. I don’t want to discontinue the homeowners but somehow the madness has got to stop! All insurance company rates are based on replacement cost. Yikes! To replace this place is more than this ole cowboy ever dreamed. I’ve shopped around for years for a policy that would just pay enough to place a modular home here rather than rebuild on total loss. No one seems to do that and while modular homes are pricy like everything else they don’t compare to the replacement cost. I’d be perfectly happy with a 100k modular should this place be swept away Kansas style like Dorothy’s home.

thanks for the response. You know that I got taxed outta my Texas house…and I now have the luxury of bitching about my 1600 and change property tax in NC. I think that I already reported USAA is offering a 50% increase in home insurance which will be nearly 60% more than my property tax. Nothing is forever, and USAA and me are done, as apparently the most competitive company ain’t so much anymore, at least in our situation.

RUSSIAN ARCTIC REGIONS STRENGTHEN BONDS WITH BEIJING
by Paul Goble
Guest Author
Tuesday, 3rd October 2023

[Last week, 9/20, Paul Goble told us about China’s plans to separate the Middle Volga from Russia. We’ve long known about China’s plans to recapture Far Eastern Siberia. Now, as Paul explains this week, China may have plans to control Russia’s entire Arctic.]

Moscow has long declared that China’s role in the development of the Northern Sea Route (NSR) is a central part of their strategic cooperation. Despite this, the Kremlin cannot be entirely comfortable with the recent extent of Beijing’s expanding activities in the Arctic Sea.

Nor can Moscow be at ease with the Chinese government’s increasing ties with Russian regional governments in the Far North and along the coast of the Arctic Sea.

If any country other than China did the same, Moscow almost certainly would denounce such actions as neo-colonialism. If any country other than Russia did so anywhere else in the world, the Russian government would make the same pronouncement.

Given the international sanctions regime, Russia has little choice but to allow China to take these steps. Such actions carry the risk that the Russian-Chinese alliance may begin to collapse, with ever-more Russians concerned that Moscow is losing out to Beijing.
