In Charlotte, Lumbee indins doing all the sheetrocking were kind of like Mohawks doing the ironwork and steeplejack work in NYC. I’ve seen Lumbees do some death defying shit on jobs in Charlotte, back in the ’70s and ’80s. They’ve probably been replaced by ese`s by now.
