THERE’S SOMETHING HAPPENING HERE…….

There’s something happening here
But what it is ain’t exactly clear
Buffalo Springfield

Something is not right, and the drastically divergent messages from Powell and his cronies at the Fed over the last month and a half con firm this suspicion. It does remind me of September 2019 when the repo market revealed the underlying mechanisms within the financial system were malfunctioning and were about to lead to another massive financial crisis. Powell restarted QE and “luckily” the covid scamdemic was rolled out, so Powell and and our corrupt political class could pump trillions into the system and keep it alive.

Powell and his fellow tough guys at the Fed had increased rates to 5.3% and have talked tough about keeping rates up until inflation got back to their 2% target. With GDP supposedly accelerating at 5.2%, unemployment still near all-time lows, and corporate profits still booming, there should be no fear about rates being too high by Powell and his sycophants. But suddenly this week Powell and these economic “rocket scientists” now are saying they will be cutting rates soon and more than anyone expected.

The stock market exploded to all-time highs and interest rates plummeted. This seems odd, when more than half the country is struggling to put food on the table. It’s almost as if Powell and his pals know something really bad is about to happen and want to front run the event, or, like September 2019, they see something terribly wrong within the financial system and are trying to fix it before it blows up. We do know the Too Big To Trust Wall Street banks have close to $700 billion of unrealized losses on their books due to interest rates hitting 16 year highs. We also know these banks have been increasingly utilizing the Fed’s emergency facility every day.

All it would take is some sort of emergency, whether global crisis, natural disaster crisis, or war breaking out between global powers, to start a run on the banks. If that were to happen, those unrealized losses would become realized, and the entire financial system would begin to collapse. Is that why Powell and the Fed are now desperate to drive interest rates lower, in order to eliminate those unrealized losses before they become realized? Whatever the reason, they are trapped. Drastically lowering interest rates will just reignite inflation again. It looks like Powell has chosen inflation rather than deflation as we spiral into the abyss. Enjoy the show and buy more ammo.

I think it’s time we stop
Children, what’s that sound?
Everybody look what’s going down

We were cruising along in the middle of nowhere, maybe Idaho, and saw a sign proclaiming, “Antelope Art”. The little lady just had to see so I pulled over. She wandered over to the stall but quickly returned as the art consisted of a pile of antelope heads stacked in the corner. There was a cafe next door and we were contemplating going in for a coffee but were quickly disabused of that thought when we saw the waitress squashing flies against the window with her hand above the diners.

Yikes! At least a high school friend at. the Mr. Quick placed the crickets from the floor on the ole burger grill along with the meat patties. Patties were beef back then and no one was reported in vomit stage after eating a cricket burger.
If one knows not the cricket is in it, no psychological impact eating the burger.

As for antelopes, there are people roaming Texas and those in and out of Texas that might pay $2000 to shoot that popcorn muncher. I’ll have figure exactly what kind of antelope. For certain it’s no commonly “stocked” Blackbuck. I’m not certain the price for one of those is not $2000 and that does not include the taxidermist.

We better use an air popper. All those nasty oils in the microwave stuff will send you into the next world before the movie is over. By the way, stored popcorn seems to improve with age. I’ve eaten lots of 25-30 yr. old corn that was simply stored in a bucket or jars (not even mason jars). Here I am still alive to tell about it. Better go get some while it’s still for sale.

I’ve been self-employed my whole life and, while being on your own in business has its own headaches, I’ve recently really come to appreciate how it’s helped me avoid the inflation trap our overlords have placed salaried people in. I have a non essential business that I just keep raising my prices and demand hasn’t gone away. It’s the golden age of what I do. I know the music has to stop at some point, I’m a realist just making hay…

Big Time,

I am considered an essential business. I did not know that until the plandemic hit. But, yeah, I’ve always thought owning a business was as good of a hedge (and better) against inflation as anything else. Plus, a business can grow as large as you want it to so the upside is quite good. Yes, everything is a gamble.

Yes, everything is a gamble.

If the business depends on others doing the work , no worries, plenty of illegals that will work.

I’ve got it figured out after reading The Art of the Deal. The entrepreneurial business of the “future”, sign out front reads, Eminent Domain For Private Gain. Hell of a concept!

Donkey,

You have to realize many of us are in the fourth quarter and in a different season of life than you.

I was an entrepreneur – consultant for the last 15 years of my career post corporate (I bailed out at 50 to go on my own) retired 8 years since going solo. Now, it was the most lucrative time of my career…but that is long over…and I’m thrilled to be where I am…it is no accident.

Sure many of us are betting on physical assets, PMs, and fiat/digital/cash (that is a better order and description for me – as to me cash will continue to be degraded then worthless and goes last).

But we are older than you and the Winter/4th quarter is its own season and brings a different set of realities and priorities then the previous seasons.

Everyone cannot move to entrepreneurialism, nor should. Hindsight being 20-20 I am super glad I did but individual situations, skills, drives, will rule.

Serious long term prepping, wide and deep 2nd amendment defense, real self-sufficiency, will also leave a legacy for my daughter and her family in what I am now calling the ‘Coming Struggle’ (I like that…borrowed from a You Tuber I follow)…and that to me is a major priority when winter is your ongoing stage of life.

Mortgage rates are usally based on the 3, 5, or 10 year Treasuries. These are down as much a percent lately. Obviously that alone is good for the housing market but if the rate drops are telling us a depression is coming, with accompaying deflation then that might not save the housing market.

I think the gist of the aretucle is correct- we don’t have the full pidcture yet but such a quick about face by FED is not a good sign. If you think those jokers really contol things I’m sorry for you- you probably also think we went to the moon.

My precious metals positions rest in a 50 cal ammo can. The can was graded #1 when I purchased various caliber ammo cans from Omaha Surplus in Fort Worth when the O man occupied the WH. The seals are like “perfect”. The 50 cal can houses my positions in junk silver I can hold in my hand. Last I opened the can was maybe five years ago to check for any weird fungus/mold growth. No concern, the seal is “like new”. I don’t worship the junk silver coins and some of those cans contain various types of bullet positions with no fungus among us.

Now consider the fine print when one signs up for a 401k or IRA “savings” plan, Dan. Bongino admits he is no financial guru yet acts as though people are not “supposed” to lose $$$ in these plans.

Generally attached to any 401k, IRA or individual stock purchase is wording similar to the below as in a “disclosure” along the lines of past performance is NO “guarantee” of future performance or “value”, etc. etc.:

performance data shown represents past performance, which is not a guarantee of future results. Investment returns and principal value will fluctuate, so that investors’ shares, when sold, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Current performance may be lower or higher than the performance data cited.

What Dan should be relaying to his audience is if you are going to play the game pull your head out! Just like gambling there are NO GUARANTEES. Amazing but just more political rhetoric and it happens full circle regardless who the chief and tribe is.

Number crunching and all I suppose some have it down the nitty gritty what they have gained and lost, “exactly”. Dan Bonbanjo was not talking about the overall picture , no mention that if a loss of 50% then it takes a gain 0f 100%, not 50% to get back on even keel. And Bonbanjo mentioned not one iota the ups and downs spread over many years of various presidencies in figuring out if one is actually in the red or green. All Bonbanjo could say was how much people have “lost” during Joe Blow’s tenure which is rather ridiculous but hey, this is politics and everyone knows Trump’s administration did not increase the national debt or that his administration spent amounts equal to those of Obummer’s eight years but only in half the time , four years. Different subject yet makes me LMAO how these clowns on the left of me and jokers on the right manipulate everything.

The stock market’s performance under Biden…

BREAKING: Fed member Bostic sees only 2 rate CUTS in 2024 and expects cuts to begin in the third quarter.

This comes just hours after NY Fed President Williams said the Fed “isn’t really discussing rate cuts.”

Meanwhile, Fed Chair Powell just said the Fed sees 3 rate cuts in 2024.

All as markets are pricing-in anywhere from 6 to 8 rate cuts in 2024.

None of this makes any sense.

The only things I can think of are 1) Powell sees something big that the markets haven’t picked up on yet and is trying to get ahead–Japan seems most likely. 2) Powell got stabbed in the back by doves in the Fed.

Neither seems likely, though.

Now, I have assumed that Tom Luongo is correct–at least in the broad strokes–that the Fed is at war with Eurodollar system, which is of course run primarily out of the City of London by the Davos crowd. The NY Banks that run the Fed aren’t going for the whole CBDC system which would end need for commercial banks, and perhaps, though not heroes, they don’t want a world run by Satanic Pedos. They prefer the world be run by them; the Jordan Belfort types. Most of the Fed still works for the Davos crowd/Blob/Borg/PTB. As does the “Biden” administration.
The NY Banks/Fed boys all ate from their trough for years, but either saw behind the curtain and didn’t like it OR saw that that game was mostly played and started a war instead.

No matter what, the timing is strange. The Reverse Repo facility still has plenty of liquidity leftover from Covid printing to keep buying Treasuries, the equity markets are at or near all-time highs. The real economy is completely fucking wrecked, but the Santa rally in those markets seems in tact.

So, why now?

Can you roughly outline why you assume(d) Tom Luongo to be correct with “Fed vs Eurodollar”?

It never made the least sense to me from the start.
“Europe” is no powerful player by itself. Especially since the EUR Crisis in 2012, when the Fed issued ReverseRepos to Europe to save the EUR – since that moment the EUR is chained to the USD, which means they will go down together if the Dollar falters.
And if you believe “Europe” is just a label for the Globalists [by Tom Luongo] – then, to paraphrase, “how many armies do the Globalists have?”

The thesis that its all old European colonial money and maybe further back than that. Almost all the dark money and the eurodollars run through the city of London, which is ancient and so self-contained to never face any scrutiny.

The Davos crowd/PTB/Assholes-in-charge, whatever you want to call them run through the City. MI5 runs intel ops, in partnership with the CIA and Mossad probably. They run the MSM through here. Run most of the political structures around the world through the money.

The Fed has not been in control of the dollar/interest rates for decades (if ever). Now, they are trying to. How? Jacking up Fed funds rate and implementing SOFR instead of LIBOR. This could only be done after Powel had secured another term and why he couldn’t continue rate hikes in 2018.

This is how fuckin’ Kristin (sp?) Sinema could stand up to the machine over the Build Back Better bill. She had backing. Form whom? Only entity with the juice is the Fed/NY Banks.

Now, the J-Pow’s speech this week may be contrary evidence. But more and more I’m thinking he really didn’t say much of anything, didn’t make any real promises, just vague Fed-speak.

Furthermore, the Fed/NY Banks are not white hats…just playing the game to their advantage. The system is still fucked. It’s all a Ponzi all the way down. The Fed is simply trying to roll up the other Ponzis first.

Chaos comes no matter what, IMO.

– “The Fed is simply trying to roll up the other Ponzis first.”
Absolutely. But for the TL thesis to be correct, it would mean Davos/London/MI5 are trying to roll up the other Ponzis faster than the Fed, and then the Fed itself. Towards what? The EUR? Or a magically dropped from the sky UDR (Unicorn drawing rights), which somehow everybody and their uncle will accept directly after all the Ponzis imploded [in that assumed case].
– What side is the CIA on in this game? MI5 aka Davos/London, or Fed?

Outside:
– Do those Davos/London people really assume China & Russia will watch passively from the sidelines as the Globalists take over pretty much everything outside of their two countries, assuming that ploy is really run?

DRUD
DRUD

“Towards what?”

That is the real question, isn’t it?

Clearly, there is a move to have all of us useless eater’s eat bugs, live in pods in 15-minute cities and then die. Because they hate us, which is they resent us for not being utterly miserable despite their power. But the psychology is secondary.

Who really knows who sits atop the heap. Those people don’t want their names to be known. The alphabet agencies are very useful because they have studied human behavior and how to drive it for decades, plus they have massive black budgets.

I think it quite possible that they do think Russia and China will play along, simply because they can’t conceive of anyone not going along. The whole thesis is that there is splintering at the top of these pyramids. These institutions are not monoliths, though they can act like they are for long periods of time, because incentives of key players align. That cannot last forever.

Now, what I think Luongo misses is that there can be some of those “weeks where decades happen” that Lenin described. Genuine Black Swans, defined as truly unpredictable events and repercussions. Also, he ignores the biggest player in the game…the herd itself. Heretofore, the people have all been pretty passive, but there is no guarantee that will last forever. There is no guarantee we will ever stand up either, millions went more or less peacefully into the Gulags after all.

We are at a massive Global crossroads and IMO the end of an age of earth (12000-year disaster cycle). All bets are off, and chaos will rule the day before too long. Impossible to be more precise with the timing.

Completely ignoring TL, I myself believe the USD will completely implode in value before the end of 2027. And will take anything [financial] in “the West” down with it.
The ‘best laid conspiracy plans’ of Davos/the elites/TPTB will melt into air and in the end they will be happy to just survive without becoming dirt poor.

And that all presumes the dying US empire will not push the big red button somewhere along the way – which my rationality and philosophical understanding however tells me is the by far most likely outcome; but I’ve decided to continue living as if it won’t happen.

You should be able to understand the difference between ‘the US’ and ‘the US empire’, the latter which I wrote is dying.

And sure, ‘the US’ will probably survive in some way and size, but I will not live long enough (~35yrs) to see the remains bloom again… This is not a “money” problem, not a political one either, not even a philosophical one – but a moral one, which will take a generation to turn around [in ‘the US’] in the best case.

So why should I stay and watch the decay, to never myself see an upward rise again? I have better things to do, plus I found a better, much more moral place where I can still make a bit of a difference.

FED DOES NOT CONTROL INTERET RATES. The market does. So the market is saying recession- more likley depression. So interest rates headed down and FED must follow- expect the yield curve to un-invert. Control? No.

GREATLY Influence? Yes.

Most of the time the Fed does control the interest rates by funding bank reserves through FFR. This then propagates through the system.

I think of it like a cattle drive. When everything is going well, the drovers control the herd. When there is a panic, the cattle go where they want.

Jdog

December 15, 2023 8:05 pm

A few points…
First, the Fed does not set the interest rates. They would like you to believe they do, but they don’t. What the Fed does is to follow the 2yr. rate which ever direction it goes. If you doubt what I say, simply overlay a chart of the Fed overnight rate over the 2 yr rate and that fact will be very obvious. The 2yr rate always moves first, then the overnight rate follows it.
Second, there is already a run on the banks happening. The idiot masses are learning one by one that their deposits in their local bank are dead money, and that they can make far more by moving their cash into money markets, brokered CD’s or buying short term treasuries.
As the idiot masses slowly pull their money from savings accounts to reinvest in 5+% investments, the banks are being forced to liquidate their stash of 30yr notes at huge losses.
Third, the account the Fed uses to purchase Treasuries at auction is its Reverse Repo Account. That account that was well over 2 trillion a year ago, is now under 800 billion, and will probably be depleted around March or April.
This will severely affect the Feds ability to purchase Treasuries, at a time when China and the wealthy oil producers in the Middle East are also either cutting purchases, or stopping purchases all together.

So I made a point of checking every note in the house, all of them withdrawn from a local small bank over the past few years and up to within a month ago, and sure enough not one of them was dated later than series 2017. That seems odd that the Federal Reserve would abruptly cease printing cash 6 years ago. Anybody know what’s up?

Very often not. Bills are printed with the same series date until the Treasury decides that a new series should start. Series dates on US bills are a major source of confusion because there are no consistent rules for their application.
