The much-anticipated US naval coalition (Operation Prosperity Guardian) against Yemen was expected to have Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt on board, but ended up with only Bahrain, as well as its usual Western clients. None of Yemen’s Red Sea neighbors wanted to risk a war with the Ansarullah (Houthis) for the sake of the US. No one wants to be a US proxy. This is a clear sign of US isolation.

Both the Houthi’s and Iran are in a good position to cause all kinds of problem for the US Navy. A few decades ago, some genius decided that US ships did not need to be tendered at sea anymore.. That means if either the Houthi’s or Iran lets loose with 100 missiles, or drones, or a combination, it would cause a US destroyer to launch its entire complement of intercept missiles, at millions each, and then the entire task force would have to leave the theater and go to a port to be reloaded.
