A very simple rule about food…

Uh, both versions are poison, and nobody in either country should be eating that shite. The difference is a mere matter of degree. Now, how much of the difference in the ingredients listing is due to regulatory differences between the US and Germany, and how much is in fact outright use of dissimilar ingredients? We know all too well here that the meanings of words are perverted by the corporate food and pharma industries, as they are given legal cover to misuse terms against their generally understood definitions. Like “organic” and “vaccine”, for example.
Perhaps German laws on this are less stringent (unlikely, I know) and don’t require the same level of detail as is present on the US version. Then again, the ingredients are clearly different to some extent. Also, the ingredients list has presumably been translated from German into English. That could explain some discrepancy in terminology.
Note also the coloring is different, the German version has no green or blue froot loops, and those two colors are conspicuously absent from the toucans bill on the box. I’d gather the artificial colorants needed to make blue and green didn’t pass muster in Germany, so they were omitted. One might assume the remaining colors were achieved with natural colorants, as the German ingredients list shows various vegetable extracts.

Red 40 is banned in the UK and in Switzerland due to health concerns.
Yellow 5 and 6 are banned in some Scandinavian countries due to health concerns. They are not banned in the rest of the EU, but a product that contains it has to have a health warning label on it.
That’s why. Not that it makes these foodstuffs any healthier, mind you. It’s all a regulatory game of appearing concerned for the citizens.
Maybe the EU is not as strict as to the number and type of ingredients that are needed to be listed.

If something has more than 5 ingredients it’s garbage. That’s true of food as well as personal care items such as cosmetics. Don’t buy cereal, frozen dinners, farm raised fish or fast food. 90% of honey in America is corn syrup. Buy European brands.
My Long Island Iced Tea begs to differ!
Last night dinner for five of us was made from scratch in about 40 minutes- sprout salad, carrot ginger soup, mushroom risotto. The ginger was grown locally, the carrots, shallots, garlic, and sprouts from the farm, the chicken stock for the risotto I made from the chicken carcass from the previous meal- one we raised and slaughtered, and the mushrooms were dried from ones we foraged in the fall. The rice was imported from Italy and the salt was from Maine. The only part of the meal that was from a source I don’t know was the lemon I juiced for the salad dressing.
It is not hard to make restaurant quality meals from healthful ingredients at a fraction of the cost people pay for processed and adulterated products. You eat less to feel satisfied, it digests well and tastes delicious.
90% of our current problems are fixable with nothing more than our own effort. Waiting around for the people who hate you to correct the problems they intentionally caused strikes me as overly optimistic.
The one thing I have not tried is making cheese.
