I love Friday, 2 today.
1. You are one of 2 people left on Earth, assuming you choose to repopulate it, who would you want to do it with?
2. We haven’t done this in awhile, please submit your questions for future QOTD’s. 9/11 is only a month away.

It certainly looks like the establishment is making an all-out push to get Crooked Hillary elected. The liberal, in the bag, mainstream media is hyperventilating at each faux pas supposedly being committed by Trump. The vitriolic attacks by faux journalists on the establishment propaganda media outlets is off the charts, as 90% of these worthless talking heads, bimbos and scribblers are Democrats.
Anyone with two brain cells knows the government (aka establishment) falsifies data to achieve their agenda. They manipulate, seasonally adjust, modify, and massage the data to achieve a happy ending for the people who pay their salary. Shockingly, with three months left before the election, the employment numbers are soaring, according to the numnuts at the BLS.
Does this awesome data pass the smell test? Let’s see. GDP has been growing at 1.2% for the last year, even using the manipulated inflation deflator. In reality, GDP is really negative. Announced layoffs by the biggest companies in the US, according to Challenger, Grey and Christmas were up 19% in July versus June. The very same government reporting 255,000 new jobs in July also had to report payroll withholding taxes, which can’t be faked easily. July receipts were down 1% versus last year. According to the BLS 2.7 million more Americans were employed this July versus last July. How could tax withholding receipts possibly fall? They couldn’t. Someone is lying.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, among its other functions, decides “hostile work environment” harassment claims brought against federal agencies. In doing so, it applies the same legal rules that courts apply to private employers, and that the EEOC follows in deciding whether to sue private employers. The EEOC has already ruled that coworkers’ wearing Confederate flag T-shirts can be punishable harassment (a decision that I think is incorrect); and, unsurprisingly, this is extending to other political speech as well. Here’s an excerpt from Shelton D. [pseudonym] v. Brennan, 2016 WL 3361228, decided by the EEOC two months ago:
On January 8, 2014, Complainant filed a formal complaint in which he alleged that the Agency subjected him to discrimination on the basis of race (African American) and in reprisal for prior EEO activity when, starting in the fall of 2013, a coworker (C1) repeatedly wore a cap to work with an insignia of the Gadsden Flag, which depicts a coiled rattlesnake and the phrase “Don’t Tread on Me.”
Complainant stated that he found the cap to be racially offensive to African Americans because the flag was designed by Christopher Gadsden, a “slave trader & owner of slaves.” Complainant also alleged that he complained about the cap to management; however, although management assured him C1 would be told not to wear the cap, C1 continued to come to work wearing the offensive cap. Additionally, Complainant alleged that on September 2, 2013, a coworker took a picture of him on the work room floor without his consent. In a decision dated January 29, 2014, the Agency dismissed Complainant’s complaint on the basis it failed to state a claim . . . .

At stake in 2016 is the White House, the Supreme Court, the Senate and, possibly, control of the House of Representatives.
Hence, Republicans have a decision to make.
Will they set aside political and personal feuds and come together to win in November, after which they can fight over the future of the party, and the country?
Or will they split apart, settling scores now, lose it all, and, then, after November, begin a battle to allocate blame for a historic defeat that will leave wounds that will never heal.
Republicans have been here before.
After the crushing defeat of 1964, Govs. Nelson Rockefeller, George Romney and William Scranton, whose principles required them to abandon Barry Goldwater, discovered that, when the cheering of the press stopped, they carried the mark of Cain.
As national leaders, they were finished.
“Most of them became wealthy by being well connected and crooked. And they are creating a society in which they can commit hugely damaging economic crimes with impunity, and in which only children of the wealthy have the opportunity to become successful. That’s what I have a problem with. And I think most people agree with me.”
Charles Ferguson, Predator Nation
“If the IMF’s staff could speak freely about the U.S., it would tell us what it tells all countries in this situation: recovery will fail unless we break the financial oligarchy that is blocking essential reform. And if we are to prevent a true depression, we’re running out of time.”
Simon Johnson, The Quiet Coup
“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy—they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”
F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
“The wealth of another region excites their greed; and if it is weak, their lust for power as well. Nothing from the rising to the setting of the sun is enough for them. Among all others only they are compelled to attack the poor as well as the rich.
Robbery, rape, and slaughter they falsely call empire; and where they make a desert, they call it peace.”
Tacitus, Agricola
Why does Trump have to support Paul “Lyin” Ryan against an actual republican? Tuesday will be a big day!

RE: 2016 Congressional District Census
Dear Mr. Priebus:
I recently received from you a plea – your second notice – that I complete and return the survey of my views on current issues in the United States. My views would help the party develop a campaign strategy for the important weeks ahead.
I recently dropped my registration in the Republican Party, so my opinions are irrelevant to your survey. I do, however, hope that the views expressed in this note will be of help.
I have been a registered Republican since 1969. As I have gotten older and wiser, it has become apparent to me that the GOP is the second head (a donkey represents the other) of a creature that is run by wealthy, powerful, and evil entities which have gained control of nearly every institution and business in this country. Oh, the heads squabble dramatically for the voters, and are fairly successful in convincing us that they really have a different agenda for the future, but the charade is wearing thin. The emperor’s clothes are fading away. Enter Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, offering some truth that the powers-that-be find intolerable. I understand that none of this is news to you.

If you have been wondering what all the terror events in France and Germany are about, here is the answer: http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2016/08/01/french-mps-visit-crimea-suggesting-early-end-sanctions.html
Washington has raised the cost of being a member of its Empire too high. Vassals such as France and Germany are beginning to exercise independent policies toward Russia. Observing the cracks in its Empire, Washington has decided to bind its vassals to Washington with terror. Most likely what we are witnessing in the French and German attacks is Operation Gladio.
Washington’s policy toward Russia, which has been imposed by Washington on all of Europe, benefits no one but the handful of American ideologues known as neoconservatives. Neoconservatives are crazed psychopaths willing to destroy Earth in behalf of American hegemony.
First Venezuela and now Brazil. Brain dead liberals are intellectually incapable of understanding the economic consequences of their socialist agenda. Socialism destroys countries and the lives of their citizens. Poverty, hopelessness, starvation and ultimately revolution are the consequences. Eight more years of Obama/Clinton will put us well down the path to Rio.
Just 24 hours before the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics, police have been forced to use tear-gas and rubber bullets to clear protesters from the path of the Olympic torch through a poor suburb of Rio de Janeiro. As The Guardian reports, police said anti-government protesters in Duque de Caixas, on Rio’s north side, threw rocks and blocked the torch’s path; and 3 people (including a 10-year-old girl) were injured.
Hundreds of people blocked the streets in the north of Rio to protest about the high cost of the Games in a country already struggling with recession, corruption and political crisis. Footage showed crowds, including children, fleeing from the police, who reportedly said a group refused to leave one lane of the road open for the torch, the BBC reported. Riot police used tear gas to disperse the crowd and video footage appeared to show a policeman firing a projectile directly at a protester. The video you won’t see on mainstream media coverage of the The Olympics…

Inasmuch America has a large population of Latin Americans, it seems to me that people, or some people, might want to know about them, and what they are, and where they came from. Most Latinos of the south are either a mixture of Spanish and Indian, or sometimes pure Indian. We have some idea of the Spaniards. They were European. But what were the Indians? What is their contribution to the great numbers of–whether you like it or not–new Americans? In particular, what are their blood lines? Are they, as nativists insist, of very low IQ–83–and have they enstupidated the Spanish? Horrendously primitive?
Without thinking about it, I had the entrenched idea that they were just that. I wasn’t conscious that it was either an idea or entrenched–just a fact. It didn’t occur to me that I knew virtually nothing about these people, or that there was anything to know.
What pulled me up short was their architecture. Throughout a large region, sort of Yucatan through parts of Honduras, you find ruined cities of monumental architecture that would match most of what is found in the ancient Near East. A great deal of it is overgrown with jungle. To get to major sites like Palenque, you walk through dim trails with unexplored walls and passageways. But the existence of these ruins did not set well with the idea of primitive incapacity. The architecture was entirely Indian since they had no contact with Europe.
Chiapas. Compares well with a lot of Roman monumental architecture. There are lots of these: Palenque, Tikal, Piedras Negras, Copán, Yaxchilan, Teotihuacan, Caracol, Uxmal, etc.
Chiapas. Time and the weather have not treated this building well, but it seems to me that these things must take considerable engineering talent.
Pyramid at Chichén Itsá. For scale, note people at lower left.
Aha! I thought with the brilliance of one who has been hit over the head by the obvious. Something screwy is going on here. How witless can you be and engineer these things? I started poking around. And found interesting stuff. For example:
Who do you think is lying?
Real corporations reporting real layoffs and documented by a non-governmental private enterprise or some massaged, seasonally adjusted, convoluted calculation by government apparatchiks paid to support the establishment narrative of economic growth?

Madison County’s Bridges To Nowhere And The Perennial Myth Of Crumbling Infrastructure
There is a good reason why Donald Trump’s campaign has been light on policy details. To wit, it seems that every time he gets specific he manages to serve up a steaming pile of hogwash.
So when he told Fox News that he would double-down on Hillary’s $275 billion infrastructure boondoggle, The Donald was right on cue. And in pulling his new $500 billion infrastructure program straight out from under his comb-over, he also demonstrated he has no idea what he is talking about.
Donald Trump on Tuesday proposed a plan to rebuild U.S. infrastructure that costs “at least double” the amount that Hillary Clinton has floated, in what would amount to a massive new government program……“Well, I would say at least double her numbers, and you’re going to really need more than that. We have bridges that are falling down. I don’t know if you’ve seen the warning charts, but we have many, many bridges that are in danger of falling.”
No, Donald, the bridges of America are not falling down and the nation’s infrastructure—-to the extent that it is any business of Imperial Washington at all—-is not “crumbling”. Actually, Washington’s primary job is maintenance of the Interstate Highway System, and that’s in pretty good shape, including its heavily trafficked bridges.
