Corona Coincidence?

Guest Post by Eric Peters

What to make of what is going on – which is going very fast in a very ugly direction?

It’s all too convenient. Two weeks ago, Orange Man seemed and probably was electorally invincible. Nothing his NPC opponents tried worked. The Orange Man ridiculed them, publicly, in his Orange Man way – leaving them bug-eyed with exasperation. One is reminded of people in the ’30s who could only refer to FDR as that man in between gasps of hate.

The Coronavirus, Fear, and Elitist Driven Market Insanity

Guest Post by William Murray

Fear is contagious: Fear is more contagious than any virus could ever be, and the media has really fed the fear factor when it comes to the coronavirus.

I am by no means playing down the deadly Covid-19 coronavirus. It is a killer. Depending on the reporting nation, it appears that on average 3.4 percent of every 100 who catch the coronavirus die. Those are not good odds.

Adding to the problem, the Center for Disease Control allowed the virus to spread in the United States out of an act of pure stupidity. The CDC refused to allow testing of those with coronavirus symptoms unless they had visited certain areas of China. And what about those who were exposed at airports, restaurants and stores? People died of the coronavirus in the United States before the CDC diagnosed a single case.

The Sneeze Heard ‘Round the Globe

Guest Post by Known Associate

It wasn’t going to take more than a sneeze to crash the global financial pyramid scam, pretty much anytime in the last 10 years. That right there is the big ticket item, and anyone who has been paying attention has seen it coming for years.

So the players in this game of financial chicken have been looking for some excuse to let it burn (or “pull it”) that would Schiff the blame to certain counterparties. Many schemes have been hatched and tried, tossed in amongst the routine terror-enhancing activities.

Are Americans All-In for a Long Coronavirus War?

Guest Post by Pat Buchanan

Are Americans All-In for a Long Coronavirus War?

Can mayors and governors of beach towns along the East Coast from Maine to Miami, and the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas, keep tens of millions from gathering on beaches this summer?

“It’s a war,” says President Donald Trump of his efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic, and likening his role to that of “wartime president.”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo welcomed the president’s claim to his commander in chief role in the crisis and his resolve: “The president and I agreed yesterday… we’re fighting the same war — and this is a war.”

Some measures already taken do call to mind actions in wartime.

Commercial airline flights have been reduced or canceled. Schools have been closed. Universities have shut their doors.

What 911 Didn’t . . . and the “Climate Crisis” Couldn’t

Guest Post by Eric Peters

An economic pandemic is spreading that will kill the livelihoods of millions of Americans – who will soon be unemployed, their businesses bankrupt, their savings consumed.

The American way of life itself is in the balance – not just for a few days or weeks or months, but quite possibly forever.

And quite possibly, on purpose.

Well, F##k Us All…

Via The Raconteur Report

Why lockdown everything?

“Two fundamental strategies are possible:

(a) mitigation, which focuses on slowing but not necessarily stopping epidemic spread – reducing peak healthcare demand while protecting those most at risk of severe disease from infection, and

(b) suppression, which aims to reverse epidemic growth, reducing case numbers to low levels and maintaining that situation indefinitely. Each policy has major challenges.

We find that that optimal mitigation policies (combining home isolation of suspect cases, home quarantine of those living in the same household as suspect cases, and social distancing of the elderly and others at most risk of severe disease) might reduce peak healthcare demand by 2/3 and deaths by half.

However, the resulting mitigated epidemic would still likely result in hundreds of thousands of deaths and health systems (most notably intensive care units) being overwhelmed many times over. For countries able to achieve it, this leaves suppression as the preferred policy option.” – Imperial College, London – COVID-19 Response Analysis pdf {emphasis mine. -A.}

Coronavirus is Mutating & a Cure May be Weeks Away

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Israel has come out and stated that it is only weeks away from developing a vaccine against the novel coronavirus, according to its science and technology minister. Meanwhile, the coronavirus has evolved into two major lineages and it is possible to be infected with both, a new study shows.

If This Is Contrived Political Hysteria, What Is The Objective?

Authored by “V.F.” via TheChicagoEconomist.com,

The Sport Of Speculation

I’m beginning to believe the current “pandemic” is perhaps just the latest contrived “enemy of the state”. An opportunity taken by western governments that have, over the past 20 or 30 years, gotten bolder in their willingness to fabricate fear to secure a political end. Political ends are always about greater control, corruption, and ultimately, cover ups.

In the age where air has become second to digital noise in terms of ubiquity, and hyperbole has replaced truth as the journalistic objective, governments’ ability to leverage misinformation (i.e. propaganda) has become a precision tool. Like it or not, society has become confused by the amount of information thrown at us and that makes us susceptible.

But if this is contrived political hysteria, what is the objective?

STOP, Goddammit!!

Guest Post by James the Deplorable Wanderer

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” (George Santayana)

You cannot give in to hysteria – and right now the U. S. government appears to be an arena full of fainting Victorian women, overcome by their greed and fear, falling into fits when the nation can least afford it.

But first, a word (or song) by Jethro Tull:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSUdlUmtg3Q

Can’t you just hear it? “In the shuffling madness of the Coronavirus … come the pack of losers called the US Congress…”

WE’VE SEEN THIS BAD, POORLY-PLANNED MOVIE BEFORE!

911 attacks >>  hysteria >> US Patriot Act (and several since)

Medical bills rising >> hysteria >> PATCA (until recently)

Coronavirus scare  >> hysteria  >> Families First Coronavirus Response Act

In other words, EVENT  >> HYSTERIA  >> BAD LEGISLATIVE NON-SOLUTION

They Should Have Called it CONTROLavirus

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

As schools are being closed in my state for the next several weeks, an article published in a local paper this morning stated: “With testing options now expanding, [the state] expects the number of positive cases to increase.”

Even the Orwellian Media is now making the case for shuttering the economy while, at the same time, Orange Man bad:

Does President Trump have the guts? His initial response to the virus was to underplay it and insist it would be gone before long. He was wrong about that. He has a chance now to rectify that with bold action. Like all leaders who find themselves managing a crisis, Trump is going to infuriate somebody, whether it’s those who think he’s doing too little or those who insist he’s doing too much. He has a short window of time to act before the only possible answer is that he’s doing too little.

Chinese Coronavirus Pandemic Demonstrates Who Are The Idiots

Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter

Chinese Coronavirus Pandemic Demonstrates Who Are The Idiots

There’s nothing like a hideous pandemic to reaffirm what we always knew…

  • Communists are terrible.
  • Our establishment is terrible.
  • Our media is terrible.
  • Democrats are terrible.
  • Never Trumpers are terrible.

Let’s start with the bat soup-slurpin’ version of Bernie Sanders’s favorite ideology, the Red Chinese. Their bizarre fetish for gobbling up pangolins and other appalling foods led to this outbreak, as if eating weird stuff was ever going to lead to anything good. Anyway, their secrecy, ineptitude and general commie incompetence led to it getting all out of control. Now they are blaming America for it, as if Trump went over to the far east and started stuffing rodents, marsupials and varmints down their gullets.
