The Irony of Phenomena Past and Present

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

In the film industry, there is a marketing strategy called “counterprogramming” whereupon two opposite types of movies are released on the same weekend. The idea is to appeal to separate demographics and, ultimately, drive more people to the theaters.

This occurred last month when two summer blockbusters were released on the same day, “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer”.  The former is a film about the iconic children’s doll and the latter is about the inventor of the atomic bomb.

Interestingly, the release of the films began a social phenomenon called “Barbenheimer” where many film-goers would see both shows as a double feature.

Subsequently, while visiting relatives earlier this month, some of them asked if I would consider going to both films just for kicks, or, at the very least, if I would tag along to see “Oppenheimer” only.  The ladies were planning to see “Barbie” all dressed up in their pink summer outfits and they feigned dramatic sighs as I declined their offer.

Hiroshima, Nagasaki Bombings Were Needless, Said World War II’s Top US Military Leaders

Authored by Brian McGlinchey via starkrealities.substack.com

The anniversaries of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki present an opportunity to demolish a cornerstone myth of American history — that those twin acts of mass civilian slaughter were necessary to bring about Japan’s surrender, and spare a half-million US soldiers who’d have otherwise died in a military conquest of the empire’s home islands.

Those who attack this mythology are often reflexively dismissed as unpatriotic, ill-informed or both. However, the most compelling witnesses against the conventional wisdom were patriots with a unique grasp on the state of affairs in August 1945 — America’s senior military leaders of World War II.

Let’s first hear what they had to say, and then examine key facts that led them to their little-publicized convictions:

Secret societies have been a pernicious blight upon civilization since mankind’s earliest days. Any civilization is naturally built upon trust, which the occultist, by their very nature, abuse and subvert through their covert allegiances. By creed, the goals of the organization comes before that of any individual or nation. The Mystery religion and it’s voluminous offshoots, such as Freemasonry, have toiled inexorably to advance their agenda of worldwide rule by the so-called “enlightened” elite. Their flowery language conceals a much darker purpose, and mass rituals such as September Eleventh, the JFK assassination, or Hiroshima & Nagasaki, are integral to achieving that purpose. As Cicero warned us two millennia ago, a nation’s true threat is the traitorous elements within it; ever looking to sink a knife in their nation’s back while they cloak their misdeeds in flowery talk of “brotherhood”, “truth”, and “enlightenment”. To properly understand how we arrived at this spiritual and cultural crucible, we must necessarily retrace the steps that have led us to the precipice of digital slavery.

Before we discuss the irregularities, the impossibilities, the farcical and the fallacious, we should first establish the orthodox or mainstream narrative on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Therein lies a significant challenge, as there is an extraordinary amount of variance in the figures cited for death tolls, destruction, and explosive force. Generally the destructive capabilities vary anywhere from 10-50%, based upon the source, and they go something like this: one chunk of plutonium was smashed into another chunk of plutonium, resulting in,

For 80 long years, mankind has harnessed the primordial forces of the universe. We have finally acquired the power of the gods — nuclear fission — the very power of the Sun or the Big Bang, capable of annihilating all sentient life with the flip of a mere switch. Military budgets have exploded in the aftermath of the fateful days of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, with ever more complex defensive systems necessary to stave off the latest innovation in mass genocide. Even now, with the reality of “World War III” on the horizon, the ever present threat of nuclear Armageddon hangs over the world like the mythical Sword of Damocles.

One false move and humanity will cease to exist.

The Hiroshima Myth

Authored by John Denson via The Mises Institute,

Every year during the first two weeks of August the mass news media and many politicians at the national level trot out the “patriotic” political myth that the dropping of the two atomic bombs on Japan in August of 1945 caused them to surrender, and thereby saved the lives of anywhere from five hundred thousand to 1 million American soldiers, who did not have to invade the islands.

Opinion polls over the last fifty years show that American citizens overwhelmingly (between 80 and 90 percent) believe this false history which, of course, makes them feel better about killing hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians (mostly women and children) and saving American lives to accomplish the ending of the war.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY – American bomber drops atomic bomb on Hiroshima – 1945

Via History.com

On August 6, 1945, the United States becomes the first and only nation to use atomic weaponry during wartime when it drops an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Approximately 80,000 people are killed as a direct result of the blast, and another 35,000 are injured. At least another 60,000 would be dead by the end of the year from the effects of the fallout.

Though the dropping of the atomic bomb on Japan marked the end of World War II, many historians argue that it also ignited the Cold War.

“The greatest achievement of organized science in history.”

That’s what that ravenous murderer Truman said about The Bomb  (70th anniversary this month.)  Hell MUST be a NECESSITY  because of people like him.

Just one brief comment; if you think we nuked two cities to end the war and prevent more American casualties, then you need to 1) watch the video and 2), pull your head out of your ass.

“THE FAITH THAT GREW OUT OF THE ASHES” — When Evil Apologizes To Innocence

Why this post? I have about a dozen web sites in my political-favorites folder which I visit on most days. In the past couple of weeks EVERY single one them had at least one article about nuclear confrontation with Russia. That shit is fucked up and shit. That’s why.

This Is Your Life Cast

“This Is Your Life” was a 30 minute Teevee show (a “reality” show, actually) on Nothing But Crap (NBC) for nine seasons (1952 – 1961). An unsuspecting celebrity or an exceptional common citizen was brought to the television studios under some untrue pretext. They wouldn’t realize what was happening until they were on camera and the show had begun. Then Ralph Edwards would tell them, “This is Your Life!” — and start telling their life story. When the story included someone important from their past, that person would come out on the stage. Most of those people hadn’t seen the “honoree” in years or even decades. It was supposed to be a look at your favorite comedian, actor, politician, etc. as a human being instead of a celebrity.
