Bias, Envy and Hatred

Today, big media has an agenda. Fox and most talk radio push right; most other media spin left.

For a long time, leftists pretended this wasn’t happening. In 36 years at CBS and ABC, none of my colleagues admitted leaning left. There were only “facts” versus “narrow-minded conservatives.”

Then Bernie Goldberg’s book “Bias” came out. The book is dead-on accurate, and a huge bestseller, but my ABC peers wouldn’t even read it.

Soon after, annoyed by my wish to cover failures of big government, ABC dropped me as “20/20” co-anchor.

My new Fox News bosses didn’t like my libertarian arguments either, but they never stopped me from making them. They let me argue that America should allow more legal immigration, stop policing the world, end the drug war, etc. Conservatives were still nice to me in the hall.

There I befriended Megyn Kelly. She seemed neutral politically. But when she got a prime-time show, she made it clear she found some leftist opinion just silly.

Now the entire Western media has joined Megyn in foolishness, or so it appears from a RT report. James O’Keefe has senior CNN producer John Bonifield on video telling O’Keefe that CNN’s anti-Russia reporting is purely for ratings: “It’s mostly bullshit right now. Putin Hints JFK Was Murdered By The “Deep State” Which Is Now After Trump And Russia

I watched this last night. Putin made Kelly look like a fucking idiot with her condescending attitude, as if she had any facts about Russia interfering in our elections. Putin crushed her like a bug. I’m sure Putin is capable of doing anything to benefit the interests of his country. No different than the illegal activities conducted by the U.S. surveillance state throughout the world. Trump should ignore the neo-cons and begin a civil discourse with this man. He will not be intimidated or cowed by U.S. threats.

In Megyn Kelly’s much anticipated interview with Vladimir Putin for her debut episode of NBC’s “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly”, the Russian President said he never met Donald Trump during his business trips to Russia (including Trump’s 2013 visit to Moscow for the Miss Universe pageant), stated that he was unaware of any proposal from Jared Kushner to set up an alleged “secret line” of communications between the Trump administration and the Russian government, and that it’s “nonsense” to say Russia has collected compromising material about Trump among many other topics covered in the 7 minute interview (see below).

A quarter century ago, I was sent to my first reeducation camp. The company I was with at the time had been infected with the virus so everyone in a management position was sent off-site to be hectored about the importance of tolerance in the workplace. We did not yet have the word “diversity” to throw around as we were still in the “tolerance” stage of multicultural lunacy outbreak. At least that was the case in my part of the world so they called it “sensitivity training,” which everyone said using air quotes.

The people responsible for starting the sensitivity training were the women in the human resources department. They had changed the name of it to something stupid like “people and relationships” but it was an HR department. For reasons I’ll never understand, the men in charge of the company decided to pack the HR departments with women who immediately started making mischief. Talking to friends at the time, this was happening all over the business world. HR departments full of hens were morphing into sensitivity department full of bitter shrews.

Dear Ms. Kelly

I watch your show pretty regularly. I think you are an excellent news broadcaster and a charming person. You have a prime time slot enabling you to inform and influence millions of people every day.

I am saddened to see that you are neglecting one of the most critical stories of the year, month, week: the House Republican leadership boldly helping President O. achieve passage of the top-secret Trans Pacific Partnership agreement, which is plainly yet another initiative to weaken this country on several fronts. In fact, from what has been leaked, it has the potential to basically destroy our national sovereignty.

Ironically, the President’s own party is alarmed at this legislation and is trying to block it because of the further bleeding of American jobs it will yield. The Pres. and the Republicans are attempting to fast-track the treaty, abdicating their duty to their constituents and the nation as a whole to publicly discuss and analyze such a critical piece of legislation. Apparently the GOP is now OK with the Pelosi Doctrine, “You have to pass it so you can see what it says.” The hypocrisy is breathtaking, don’t you think?

I appreciate your concern with the Duggar situation. I understand you are worried about the two escaped convicts running around. What I don’t get is why these issues are worth a lot of air time, but the TPP isn’t. As an American who grows more cynical and angry at the shenanigans and corruption in DC, I believe you don’t report this story because it doesn’t line up with someone’s agenda at FNC. How you reconcile this personally is none of my business. I understand you have a wonderful job.

I’m so thankful for the alternative media sites that inform and educate me about topics the mainstream media (yes, Fox is one of ‘em) suppresses. Truly, the alphabet networks and Fox grow more irrelevant by the day.

One more thing: Please stop trotting out Dana Perino to comment negatively on Rand Paul’s campaign whenever he says something controversial. It’s the Agenda again.

DID FOX NEWS ACTUALLY CONFRONT THE DARK LORD – DICK CHENEY?

Dick Cheney is lying motherfucker who is solely responsible for the deaths of thousands of American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. Iraq would not be blowing up today if he had not lied and misled the American public into supporting the invasion of a sovereign country which did not threaten the U.S. in any way. He should just shut the fuck up and eat a bullet. He is a contemptible human being and should be at Guantanamo getting a water treatment. When neo-con loving Fox News turns on you, you know you’re finished. Crawl back into your hole DICK.

Dick Cheney Kelly File. Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz sat down with Megyn Kelly to talk about their joint column slamming President Obama on Iraq and a whole host of other foreign policy issues, but Kelly wasted no time in grilling Cheney on his role in the quagmire Iraq is in today.

She opened the interview by referring to Cheney as “the man who helped lead us into Iraq in the first place,” and told Cheney, in response to his claim that rarely has a president been so wrong about so much, “Time and time again, history has proven that you got it wrong as well in Iraq, sir.”

Kelly went down a laundry list of Dick Cheney quotes about Iraq that turned out to be monstrously wrong, but Cheney refuted all of that and kept focus on going after President Obama. He said the Obama administration “precipitated the current crisis” in Iraq, while Liz said they started their new group Alliance for a Strong America because “there’s a lot out there being said that’s frankly not true” where the Bush/Cheney administration is concerned.
