Ukraine Propaganda

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

The West negotiated in bad faith with the Minsk Agreement to buy time for Ukraine to build an army trained, BTW, by NATO. The Belgrade Agreement was that Ukraine, the 3rd largest nuclear power in the world in 1991, surrendered its nukes, promising that it would remain neutral and neither NATO would advance nor Russia would invade. Zelensky broke both agreements on the order of the Neocons.

Russian Lives Matter

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

The most influential aspect of Black Lives Matter is its name choice. Of course, black lives matter, but the messaging behind the movement itself was pure corruption and controlled civil unrest by the left. It was seen as racist to say that ALL lives matter because the focus was only on Black Americans. Then the police tried to use the term Blue Lives Matter, fueling the animosity.  The phrase has caught on, and a Danish director has come under fire for saying “Russian lives matter.”

FALL OF AMERICAN EMPIRE AND DESCENT INTO A NEW DARK AGES

“The story of its ruin is simple and obvious; and, instead of inquiring why the Roman Empire was destroyed, we should rather be surprised that it had subsisted so long. The victorious legions, who, in distant wars, acquired the vices of strangers and mercenaries, first oppressed the freedom of the republic, and afterwards violated the majesty of the purple. The emperors, anxious for their personal safety and the public peace, were reduced to the base expedient of corrupting the discipline which rendered them alike formidable to their sovereign and to the enemy; the vigor of the military government was relaxed, and finally dissolved, by the partial institutions of Constantine; and the Roman world was overwhelmed by a deluge of Barbarians.” — Edward Gibbon. The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Chapter 38 “General Observations on the Fall of the Roman Empire in the West”

How the fall of the Roman empire paved the road to modernity | Aeon Essays

“After a diligent inquiry, I can discern four principal causes of the ruin of Rome, which continued to operate in a period of more than a thousand years. I. The injuries of time and nature. II. The hostile attacks of the Barbarians and Christians. III. The use and abuse of the materials. And, IV. The domestic quarrels of the Romans.” — Edward Gibbon. The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Chapter 71 “Four Causes of Decay and Destruction.”

The moniker of my website originated from a quote by David Walker, then Comptroller General of the U.S., in 2007. I wholeheartedly endorsed Walker’s viewpoint and become politically active in trying to get Ron Paul elected as president in 2008 and 2012. It was a fruitless effort, as the uni-party in Washington DC, controlled by the dark forces of the Deep State, do not allow men and women who truly want to reduce the size and scope of government to ever get elected. His warning sixteen years ago is a perfect example of being right but being early. When talking about the decline of empires, you are really deliberating about a process, not an event. The Roman Empire did not fall on a specific day due to a specific cause. It collapsed in stages over hundreds of years due to numerous reasons, each triggering events which compounded upon each other and ultimately led to the final collapse.

On Wars, Propaganda and outright Lies

Guest Post by Francis Lee

Ukraine and U.S. war propaganda | MR Online

Here is a typical political offering from the British centre-left. As follows:

‘’Putin’s war on Ukraine has led to thousands of deaths, upended the world order, and intensified the global energy crisis. At home in Britain, it has led to an outpouring of support for Ukrainian refugees – if not for black and brown people fleeing war and persecution – and provided cover for Keir Starmer to further crack down on the Left of Labour, from socialist MPs to Young Labour.

In this extract of an interview from the latest Momentum political education bulletin, The Educator, David Wearing (whomever he is!- FL) discusses the geopolitical interests at stake, the reactions of Western states, especially the UK, and how the Left in Britain can meaningfully engage in anti-imperialist struggle today.

Momentum a centre-left political grouping within the British Labour Party: Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused untold devastation and loss of life. Evidence of fresh atrocities seem to emerge almost daily. Why has Vladimir Putin’s regime launched this war of aggression, in your opinion?’’ (Red Pepper – leftist British publication.)

The Insanity of Stupid People in Power Pushing for War – Rejecting Peace

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has backed Liz Truss’ view that Russian forces must be pushed out of “the whole of Ukraine” – and suggested this should include Crimea. Even the Guardian has accused Liz Truss’ position is “recklessly inflaming Ukraine’s war to serve her own ambition.” Meanwhile, in Russia, this is playing out on TV endorsing World War III. The Russian is of Britain’s Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss, is that the war in Ukraine is a war in which is the West openly seeking the destruction of Russia. Moscow has come to the realization that this is already World War III, and the comment emerging from London is that Britain will not back down until they achieve the complete victory over Moscow. Boris Johnson apparently told Zelensky not to accept any deal with Putin. There are no peacemakers among them only warmongers.

If It Feels Like You’re Being Manipulated, It’s Because You Are

Guest Post by Caitlin Johnstone

If you’ve got a gut feeling that your rulers are working to control your perception of the war in Ukraine, it is safe to trust that feeling.

If you feel like there’s been a concerted effort from the most powerful government and media institutions in the western world to manipulate your understanding of what’s going on with this war, it’s because that’s exactly what has been happening.

If you can’t recall ever seeing such intense mass media spin about a war before, it’s because you haven’t.

If you get the distinct impression that this may be the most aggressively perception-managed and psyop-intensive war in human history, it’s because it is.

If it looks like Silicon Valley platforms are controlling the content that people see to give them a perspective on this war that is wildly biased in favor of the US narrative, it’s because that is indeed the case.

GOOGLE CENSORING TRUTH ON BEHALF OF BIDEN

The fuckers at Google banned me over eight years ago, but they still send me emails as if I’m still allowed to use their Google Adsense ads. I received this Orwellian Big Brother email today. Basically, they are threatening all websites using their ads that they will demonetize them if they post truthful information about the false flags in Bucha and Mariupol being used to start World War 3. Google has decided Ukraine are the good guys and Russia are the bad guys. If you post anything contrary to that narrative, you will be demonetized.

Google is too big and too powerful. If the Republicans win the House and Senate in November, they should break this company into tiny pieces using existing anti-trust laws. But they are ball-less cucks who will do nothing.

CIA Admits Feeding Americans False Info About Ukraine

Guest Post by Ron Paul

CIA and FBI Reportedly Advising Ukraine

Late last year, a Gallup poll showed that Americans’ trust in the mainstream media has fallen to its second lowest level on record. Only seven percent of Americans responded that they have a “great deal” of trust in the media.

That loss of trust has been well-earned by the mainstream media, and it explains the massive growth of independent media and alternative voices on social media. The response to the rise of independent media voices has been a rush to “cancel” any voice outside the accepted mainstream narrative.

This Week in the New Normal

Via Off-Guardian

Our successor to This Week in the Guardian, This Week in the New Normal is our weekly chart of the progress of autocracy, authoritarianism and economic restructuring around the world.

1. Any solution you like as long as its neo-feudalism

A new report has been published claiming the best way the people of Europe can “hurt Putin” is to use less oil and gas.

The report, titled “Switch Off Putin”, goes as far as suggesting energy rationing, making it illegal to set your thermostat above 18 degrees, banning private cars from cities and ceasing all intra-European flights.

The write-up in the Guardian somehow crams in eating less meat as well.

Fly less. Drive less. Eat less meat. Live like a pauper.

At the beginning of the “pandemic” in 2020, we published a piece pointing out that every single policy being put forward to “prevent future pandemics” had already been suggested as a means of “stopping climate change”: Drive less, fly less, eat less meat.

Famously, when asked what colours the Model T came in, Henry Ford replied “any colour you want so long as it’s black”. Same goes here. Any solution you like, so long as it’s neo-feudalism.

We need to ban cars and planes and beef to save the planet prevent pandemics support Ukraine.

They don’t care why you do these things, but they really, really want you to do them.

New witness testimony about Mariupol maternity hospital ‘airstrike’ follows pattern of Ukrainian deceptions, media malpractice

Via The Gray Zone

On March 9th, shocking news of a deliberate Russian airstrike on a maternity hospital in Mariupol, eastern Ukraine, began spreading widely via social media and news outlets.

Fiery condemnation from Western officials, pundits, and journalists was immediate. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, for his part, claimed the act was proof of the “genocide” Russia was perpetrating against the civilian population, and urged European leaders to condemn the “war crime” and “strengthen sanctions” to stop the Kremlin’s “evil” deeds in the country. NPR suggested the attack was part of Russia’s “terrible wartime tradition” of purposefully targeting health facilities and medics during conflicts, dating back to Chechnya.

But newly released testimony from one of the incident’s main witnesses punctures the official narrative about a targeted Russian airstrike on the hospital. The witness account indicates the hospital had been turned into a base of operations by Ukrainian military forces and was not targeted in an airstrike, as Western media claimed. Her testimony also raised serious questions about whether at least some elements of the event were staged for propaganda purposes – and with the cooperation of the Associated Press.

The Great Pivot of Spring 2022, V. 2.0

Guest Post by Dr. Robert Malone

From where I sit, we appear to be on the threshold of yet another propaganda about-face.

The Ukraine “war” is increasingly looking like it was all about Russia having found a moment when the NATO-associated World Economic Forum client states were distracted by other matters, and then seizing the opportunity to put a halt to the gradual assimilation of Ukraine into the NATO alliance.  If one looks at the situation from a Russian geopolitical-realpolitik frame of reference, the gradual development of a NATO-aligned state along the Russian border, replete with US-sponsored “Biolabs” that were (at best) working with biothreat agents (toxins, pathogens) collected from the Ukrainian region (and heavens knows where else), represented a legitimate threat to Russian national security.  Were those “Biolabs” more than just sample collection stations?  Russia certainly seem to think so.  The USA acknowledges the existence of these “Biolabs” but denies that they were involved in bioweapon research.  Personally, based on my professional experience, that one sticks in my craw.  Russia asserts otherwise.  He said, she said.  These days, truth seems to merely be whatever and whichever state-controlled media that you are subjected to says it is.

This article is not really about Corona, nor is it really about bats. Blind Corona bats make a catchy title. The subjects of the article, however, are indeed related to Corona (what isn’t these days?) as well as to bats, blind ones. The most perplexing part for me about this Covid puzzle, and all that is now following it, has been the blindness I have experienced in people on “that side” of the fence. (I won’t call them sheep, I got in trouble for that once.)

I am most troubled by this phenomenon experienced in close friends and family. Now that Covid has passed the torch onto the Russia/Ukraine conflict it seems we are seeing Act Two of a very frustrating global, and personal play.

Of course we all know both of these events are scenes in one big theatrical event, one that has been going on for quite a while but mostly in out of town tryouts—Covid was the first act of the play finally opening on the Big Broad Way.

The tryouts are over. The Great Reset, now the hottest show in town, opens in the big time.

Can We Have Some Real Talk About Ukraine?

Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter

Can We Have Some Real Talk About Ukraine?

Time to get real. Ukraine is an equal opportunity crisis because it provides politicians of both parties a chance to be wrong, although it allows the Democrats the opportunity to do what they do best and be much, much more wrong. For the Republicans, it lets them indulge the desire of some to return to a time when America could focus its moral firepower – if not its firepower firepower – upon a readily-identifiable baddie like it did during the Cold War or the War on Terror. For the left, it allows them to create a moral panic to replace COVID, which, naturally, requires that we Americans “sacrifice” even more of our freedom and money.

From the perspective of someone who actually trained Ukrainian troops in Ukraine, commanded US forces, and attended the US Army War College – though it’s kind of the Chico State of war colleges – the whole way our elite is approaching the crisis is an epic clusterfark. Don’t believe anything anyone tells you – and certainly, sanity check whatever I’m telling you, too – most of these insta-experts on intra-Slavic conflict know absolutely squat-ski. Moreover, their remarkably dumb observations and credulous acceptance of conventional wisdom, which has proven long on conventional and short on wisdom, are being presented without any kind of strategic context. They don’t know where this crisis came from and certainly have no clear notion of where they want it to go beyond the vague and unhelpful idea that they want Putin (which they use interchangeably with Russia) to “lose” without knowing what that even means.

THE UKRAINE MISINFORMATION WAR

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

Pictures Taken in 2021 – Fake News

It is difficult work to give an accurate account of events in Ukraine. The Western media is entirely useless, consisting of fake news reports of Russian atrocities, casualties, defeats, and endless meaningless threats from impotent Western “leaders.”  Ukrainian news reports are even more ridiculous than the Iraqi ones during the US invasion.  Moreover as the Ukrainian cities and remaining forces are encircled and trapped, the Ukrainian media cannot serve as news sources as they are also cut off.  The Russians, unlike the Americans, do not conduct their wars on television and do not release much news.  European governments have banned the scant news available on RT and Sputnik.
