CHILD NEGLECT?

My parents would have been thrown in jail for life. I could roam anywhere within a few miles of my house at that age. We had ball fields and playground a quarter mile away and I had to walk across the creek and through a cemetery to get to Collingdale Park where we would play baseball, football, hockey and tennis. We would also crawl through sewer pipes and sled down steep hills. The horror!!! We live in a pussified police state.

Stucky says:

What’s wrong wif me? Why can’t I let this go? OK … LAST post (unless I’m goaded by the usual curs here).

We question everything here, don’t we? “Hamas hides behind children!” Sure, there are a few examples of that. But what if it’s MOSTLY bullshit? An effective Joo tactic they use to justify their murdering ways? A lie we hear over and over until we accept it blindly as truth?

And it’s not like Da Joos don’t use children as human shields.

“A United Nations human rights body has criticized the Tel Aviv regime for torturing Palestinian children, saying the Israeli military frequently uses them as human shields in its operations. ”

As idiotic as you may judge him, bb has it that the world is under the control of the evil one. that is not a dumb statement. it explains what you fail to grasp, injustice and evil occur because of this situation. you say that a just and loving god…

i would say, there is all the proof i can offer, that you have a concept of god is proof enough, whether you believe in that concept is not my concern. scientists have recently discovered one, maybe two new elements and they say they are confident they will discover several more. they have it in their mind that even if they do not know the properties of these elements, some existing physically for only a short duration or in specific conditions, they have faith that there are elements which the atomic weights predict.

in the same way, i can say, you have a concept of a just and loving god, that you haven’t discovered or set out to discover god is not the issue. I simply argue that the idea is there and whatever the unknown characteristics of god may be, is something to look forward to finding out if only to satisfy the scientific drive for discovery. to settle for a patch of comfortable ignorance is to rejoice in the superstition of the dark ages where any idea had its corresponding spirit, fairy, goblin or sprite.

i settled for that ignorance and wandered around the earth in darkness, what a waste of a life it was. if you don’t accept what i say, no matter, the great majority of mankind will be flushed down the toilet into darkness maybe. and i can’t say i will escape that fate either. but i have a dream, just like MLK said, i have a dream and it is a nice one.

Z – the articles put up some unsubstantiated claims that Israelis use Palestinians as shields, and arrest/detain/interrogate around 700 Palestinian children per year. She-it. 700 adolescents get detained. Wonder how that might happen. Petty crime, or serious crime, maybe? Throwing rocks at soldiers? Etc?

But most interestingly, Hamas uses palestinians as shields, and maybe the Israelis use Palestinians as shields. But there is no hint whatsoever that Israelis use Israelis as shields.

It takes a certain type of sub-human piece of shit to use one’s own children and people as shields.

It is why Hamas has almost no allies in the world. Most moderate Arab and Muslim nations are silently cheering for Israel to destroy Hamas. Hamas is evil incarnate, for sure and certain.

From what I can see with my own eyes (eye actually), the world is under the control of millions of “evil ones”. I don’t believe in Satan either but if those that do walk the straight and narrow because of that belief or fear I don’t fault them for it.

I don’t have any concept of a just and loving God, I’m just going on what I’ve been told by the believers. I don’t believe in any God. I don’t settle for ignorance or believe in superstition either. I feel absolutely no need to ascribe supernatural reasons to things I don’t understand. I don’t need to believe in a God to be a decent person. I have no problem accepting that when I die it’s just over. The elements that I was composed of revert to their basic form and become part of something else for awhile. I’m actually opposed to being buried in a vault of coffin. Let the worms or buzzards do their thing! I’ve never felt like I was wandering around in darkness or wasting my life. I’m generally happy and fulfilled and feeling that way or not is up to me.

I get the impression that many believers believe because they are insecure or afraid. I’m not saying they are but that seems a good reason to seek out salvation and ever lasting life from an unproven omnipotent being.

Believe or don’t believe. Either way, comparing what you apparently believe to be an omnipotent being allowing children to be horrifically slaughtered to mortal cops allowing crime in the original comment is idiotic.

And that was my point, your syllogism is idiotic. not you but the logic you use. I tried to show you how stupid it would sound if someone used your argument to claim cops don’t exist. arguing with you is not very productive because you are too literal minded. Peace, I-S.

Well Chen, it’s a bit difficult to extend logic to something that no one can prove exists or doesn’t exist. It’s sort of like Dark Matter. No one can really prove it exists but plenty of people infer it’s properties based on no direct proof. In my mind it makes no sense whatsoever to believe in a God that is loving and omnipotent yet allows His children, which he created and loves so much, to be slaughtered in some of the most horrific ways possible by more, slightly older versions of His children. Being loving and omnipotent would seem to imply that He would not want His creation to be destroyed and that He might step in and do something about it ESPECIALLY with regard to totally innocent children. Sorry, but that shit does not pass the smell test.

I like the South Park story that Earth is a planet that some Hollywood type aliens populated with creatures from all over the galaxy to create a “reality TV show” and viewers tune in to see what happens each week. Sort of like throwing black ants into a red ant nest.

Perhaps comparing mortal copfuks allowing crime to omnipotent gods allowing slaughter is a logical analogy but I don’t see it. I did not think anyone would infer that cops are omnipotent. Perhaps we’re both idiots.

your too sharp for me I-S, that last posit, perhaps were both idiots took all the argument out of me. I can’t argue out of that laydown. you must be a student of bruce lee’s ‘fighting without fighting’ technique. bravo.
