First of all I’m sorry for the deaths of the 14 people and feel for their families. Secondly, could Obama wait more than 10 minutes before using the tragedy to further his gun confiscation mission? Thirdly, when the shooters were a couple with names like Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, who recently traveled to Saudi Arabia, does anyone with a functioning brain actually believe this was really a workplace dispute? Another story said the dude was an extremely religious Muslim. They sure look assimilated.
Let’s call a spade a spade. These two planned and executed a mass murder of non-Muslims. It was Islamic terrorism based upon their religious teachings. When will Obama go in front of the nation and declare that fact. NEVER.
Instead, Obama and his liberal minions, the captured MSM, and the control freaks who despise the U.S. Constitution will continue to harp on the number of shooting deaths and the cause being guns. They never talk about the true reasons – mental illness, psychotropic drugs, urban ghettos created by welfare policies of the last 50 years, and now Islamic hatred for the American culture.
You won’t see these facts on MSNBC or CNN:
The hand ringing by Obama and the libs is based on a false storyline. As the number of guns in the country has risen over the last two decades, the number of homicide by guns has plunged by 40%. The number of homicides by guns is virtually the same as it was in 1976. The population of the country was 218 million in 1976 and it is 322 million today. Therefore, the per capita homicides by gun is DOWN 38% since 1976. The country is far safer with more guns. Obama and his minions should concentrate on Chicago, Detroit, Philly and the rest of the Democratically controlled urban kill zones.
Now for the poll. Was the shooting yesterday Islamic terrorism or just a workplace dispute?
Couple’s motive in California rampage a mystery for police, family
A man and woman armed with assault-style rifles opened fire on a holiday party of his co-workers in Southern California, killing 14 people and wounding 17 others, and then were slain hours later in a shootout with police, authorities said.
The two suspects were identified as Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, who San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said were in a relationship, possibly married or engaged. He said they were believed to be the only shooters involved in an attack that required some degree of planning.
While the motive remained unclear, Burguan said, “We have not ruled out terrorism.”
Farook was U.S. born, while Malik’s nationality was still undetermined. They were parents of a six-month-old baby girl.
Farook’s family and co-workers struggled to make sense of the shooting, the deadliest in the United States in three years. His brother-in-law went before television cameras and said he had “absolutely no idea” why Farook would stage a massacre.
According to the police chief, Farook was a county public health employee who attended the party, held in a conference building on the campus of the Inland Regional Center – a social services agency – and at some point stormed out. He returned with Malik to open fire on the celebration. The couple were dressed in assault-style clothing and also placed several bombs at the scene, which police detonated.
The shooting rampage marked the deadliest U.S. gun violence since the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, in December 2012, in which 27 people, including the gunman, were killed.
Wednesday’s carnage amplified concerns about gun violence and security after deadly assaults at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs last week and the attacks in Paris three weeks ago by Islamic State militants that killed 130 people.
So far in 2015, the United States has seen more than 350 shootings in which four or more people were wounded or killed, according to the crowd-sourced website shootingtracker.com, which keeps a running tally of U.S. gun violence.
The attack in San Bernardino, a largely working-class city 60 miles (100 km) east of Los Angeles, appeared to differ from other recent U.S. killing sprees in several ways, including the involvement of two people rather than a lone perpetrator.
A third person seen fleeing from the area of the shootout with the suspects was detained, but Burguan said he was not sure if that person was involved in the attack.
David Bowdich, an assistant regional FBI director, said earlier in the day that authorities had not yet determined whether the shooting was an act of terrorism.
“It is a possibility, but we don’t know that,” he told reporters. “It’s possible it goes down that road. It’s possible it does not.”
‘WHY WOULD HE DO THAT?’
At a news conference called by the Los Angeles area chapter of the Muslim advocacy group Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the brother-in-law of Farook, Farhan Khan, said he was bewildered by the news.
“Why would he do that? Why would he do something like this? I have absolutely no idea. I am in shock myself,” Khan said at the news conference in Anaheim, California, south of Los Angeles.
Co-workers told the Los Angeles Times they were surprised to hear Farook’s name linked to the shootings since he was quiet and polite and did not bear any obvious grudges. They also said he had traveled to Saudi Arabia and returned with his new wife whom he had met online.
Hussam Ayloush, executive director of CAIR in the Los Angeles area, appealed to the public not to jump to conclusions about the suspects’ motives.
“Is it work? Is it rage-related? Is it mental illness? Is it extreme ideology?” he said. “We just don’t know.”
The manhunt initially led police to a home in the neighboring town of Redlands. Police then pursued a suspected getaway vehicle that was seen leaving that address back to San Bernardino, where the shootout occurred.
Ayloush told Reuters the couple left their six-month-old-baby with Farook’s mother at that Redlands home early on Wednesday morning and told her they were going to attend a doctor’s appointment for Malik, whom he called Farook’s wife of two years.
Twelve hours after the attack, the identities of the dead had still not been made public as investigators delayed examining the crime scene because of the explosives left there, Burguan said.
Two adult victims of the shooting were in critical but stable condition at Loma Linda University Medical Center, which said in a statement that it had received five patients hurt in the attack. The conditions of patients taken to other medical facilities was not immediately known.
The shooting and ensuing manhunt practically paralyzed San Bernardino, a city of 220,000 that was hard hit by the housing foreclosure crisis and later declared bankruptcy. Dozens of schools, public offices and hospitals were placed on security alert for hours.
President Barack Obama lamented an epidemic of gun violence that he said “has no parallel anywhere else in the world.”
And he repeated his call for Congress to pass “common sense gun safety laws,” including tougher background checks for firearm sales.

It can hard to tell Islamic craziness from regular craziness, but this is the former.
Apparently they left a remote control pipe bomb on a table at the party. Trigger device was for a remote control toy. And 12 pipe bombs were supposedly found at the condo in Redlands.
Regardless of why these two chose this moment to act, sounds like they were planning some dirty terrorist deeds.
The reports reveal the two apprehended shooters in the deadly San Bernardino shooting Wednesday were Syed Rizwan Farook, a 28-year-old American citizen, and Tashfeen Malik, “of unknown origin”. So why can’t anyone seem to locate her origin? It is because there are no records of the two together or are there any records with the name of Tashfeen Malik. The mystery of this Jihad affair grows when Farook recently traveled to Saudi Arabia and returned with a new bride he supposedly met online. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) says Farook has been married with this woman for two years — but wouldn’t confirm whether Malik was the wife’s name. Fact is, Farook traveled to Saudi Arabia only six months ago and returned with a wife he supposedly met online. This does not answer the six month old child who was conceived 15 months before and where he was conceived.
This visit, unlike what CAIR claims is recent. And the reason no one can locate her origin is most likely that her name is not really “Tashfeen Malik”. No one is able to find any female named “Tashfeen Malik”. The name is very unusual for a woman and there is no record of any Tashfeen Malik in the U.S. or even abroad in Arabic.
Syed Rizwan Farook wife Tashfeen Malik
Tashfeen Malik (King) is a nom de guerre for a Muslim Jihadist from the annals of Muslim history. As he is known to Muslims “تاشفين ملك الموحدين” Tashfeen Malik Al-Muahideen, in English: Tafhseen King of the Unitarians (Muslims) and the conquerer of the west. The history stems from when Yusuf ibn Tashfin led the Muslim forces in the Battle of Zallaqa/Sagrajas. He came to Andalusia from Morocco to help the Muslims fight against Alfonso VI, eventually achieving victory and allowing the Muslims to remain in Spain for centuries. The battle has been symbolic for Muslim victory against the Christians.
This is a hallmark of ISIS. Another hallmark is that Farook was a devout Muslim, but rarely discussed religion at work. Mr. Farook, 28, born in Illinois and who had Pakistani origins. Police says of his operation that “These were people that came prepared,” “There had to have been some degree of planning that went into this.”
No kidding.
Police Chief Burguan said that although initial reports indicated that as many as three shooters may have been involved, “we are confident now” that Farook and Malik acted alone. He said the pair were “either boyfriend-girlfriend or husband and wife”. The reason they cannot get such a resolution to this is that perhaps they do not understand the code-names used might not belong to the real name of this mysterious woman. She hardly looks Pakistani and could even be a western convert.
The FBI is investigating several possible motives, including workplace violence and terrorism, said David Bowdich, assistant director of the bureau’s Los Angeles office, adding that terrorism is “a possibility, but we do not know that yet.” The FBI is working with state and local law enforcement.
Where did they get the guns? The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives reported that the two assault rifles and two handguns used in the killings were all purchased legally in the United States — two of them by someone who’s now under investigation. Meredith Davis, a spokesperson for the agency, said investigators are now working to make a connection to the last legal purchaser.
A bag believed to belong to the shooters was found inside the conference. Inside, investigators found three rudimentary explosive devices packed with black powder and rigged to a remote controlled car. The remote for car was found inside the SUV where Farook and Malik were later killed, a law enforcement official said. They were also wearing GoPro cameras when they were killed. The gunman who killed four people at the Jewish Museum in Brussels filmed his attack with a camera mounted on his chest.
Much planning went into it — tactical gear and clothing, pipe bombs … the works. That takes much training, forethought, planning and preparation which six months is sufficient. The mystery, the planning and the name of the supposed wife spells all the hallmarks of ISIS.
For Allah’s sake. Of course it is Islamic terrorism. To frame it otherwise is dishonest and politically motivated rhetoric.
Just read an article where left-wing loon David Linker writing in The Week claimed that if you are a pro-lifer then you either condone vigilante violence as was committed at Planned Parenthood in Colorado last week, or you don’t believe your own “deeply irresponsible” rhetoric. Either way, you can’t escape responsibility for the actions of people like Robert Dear. So, with that twisted logic, they have destroyed their own pro-Islam rhetoric. By their logic if you are a Muslim, then you condone Islamic terrorism, or you aren’t really serious about Islam. I suppose their ‘get out of jail free” card is to remind everyone that there is no such thing as Islamic terrorism. It simply does not exist – whatsoever! It is a figment of the “deeply irresponsible” rhetoric and imaginations of Islamaphobes…… Ignorance is Strength. Freedom is Slavery. War is Peace.
Another sheriff stepping up against the Administration’s call to control guns:
Ulster County Sheriff: All Licensed Handgun Owners Should Carry Them
http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/12/03/ulster-county-sheriff-carry-guns/
“In light of recent events that have occurred in the United States and around the world I want to encourage citizens of Ulster County who are licensed to carry a firearm to please do so,” wrote Sheriff Paul J. Van Blarcum in a Facebook post. “I urge you to responsibly take advantage of your legal right to carry a firearm. To ensure the safety of yourself and others, make sure you are comfortable and proficient with your weapon, and knowledgeable of the laws in New York State with regards to carrying a weapon and when it is legal to use it.”
“I also want to remind all Police/Peace Officers both active duty and retired to please carry a weapon whenever you leave your house. We are the thin blue line that is entrusted in keeping this country safe, and we must be prepared to act at any given moment,” Van Blarcum wrote.
Why is America in particular, and the West in general, being targeted by this “unprecedented” wave of killings??
There were a series of “before and after Western Liberation” photos posted on this very website (and on ZeroHedge) but a few days ago – Libya, Syria, Iran, Yemen. Destroyed in the name of “Western Democracy” (also known as Oil-related Regime Change).
When you kill millions for no reason other than greed, you will create a significant problem for YOUR future. They will NOT forgive, they will NOT forget. They WILL exact their revenge.
Happening now; will become far, far worse in the future. Better get used to it, and better get used to YOUR cities ending up just like Libya.
For a website full of skeptics , you folks are really gulping down the “terrorism” swill.
Nothing about this story sounds incredible?
And fuck no , I’m not talking about workplace violence , either.
DEFINITELY WORKPLACE ISSUE 🙂
Weapons Trove Found In House Of “Apparently Radicalized” Mass Shooters, FBI “Treating As Terrorism”
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/03/2015 12:44 -0500
Earlier today, we profiled Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, the couple who stormed a San Bernardino County holiday party with two assault rifles, killing 14 and wounding 21 more in the deadliest mass shooting America has seen since Sandy Hook.
While the jury is still out on possible motives, Farook did travel to Saudi Arabia before marrying Malik, a Pakistan native who apparently taveled to the US after Farook’s trip to the Mid-East.
While that certainly doesn’t qualify as conclusive evidence, we did note earlier that according to several profiles Farook set up on dating sites, he identified himself as Sunni and when it comes to radicalizing Sunni Muslims, the Saudis and their brand of puritanitcal Wahhabism are second to none. Of course the connection to the Mid-East is itself enough to arouse suspicion among an American public that’s now hyper-sensistive to Islamic extremism in the wake of the Paris attacks and thanks to fact that the issue has been politicized by Presidential candidates on both sides of the aisle. Reuters says Farook came back into the US in 2014 and also traveled to Pakistan “at one point.”
Here’s what we said earlier:
Of course at the end of the day, two people opening fire with assault rifles on a holiday party seems pretty “terrifying” to us regardless of what inspired the shooters, but remember, crises like these are only “useful” in today’s world if they serve someone’s geopolitical ends so don’t be surprised if the mainstream media soon turns up the San Bernardino equivalent of the forged Syrian passport found in Paris three weeks ago.
Sure enough, CNN now reports that Farook was “apparently radicalized” and was “in touch with people being investigated by the FBI for international terrorism.” Similarly, NBC says Farook was in contact with “overseas individuals.”
We now know that Malik had a Pakistani passport and came to the U.S. on a fiancee visa. Farook entered the US with Malik in July of 2014. The FBI reportedly “doesn’t know all of the countries” Farook visited.
According to The NY Times, the FBI is now treating the shooting as a terrorism case.
CNN also says investigators are analyzing an apparent “bomb lab” at Farook’s residence. Authorities have reportedly discovered “hundreds” of tools that could be used to make IEDs.
As reported earlier, the couple used a DPMS model and a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 along with two handguns – a llama and a Smith & Wesson – in the attack. The rifles, two .223s, are capable of piercing bulletproof vests. The weapons were purchased legally.
Farook and Malik also placed a “device” consisting of three connected pipe bombs at the scene. Apparently, the remote detonator failed. 65-75 rounds were fired in the initial attack. 76 additional shots were fired at officers.
Found in the suspects’ home:
2,500 .223 rounds
2,000 9mm rounds
12 pipe bombs
Found in the black SUV:
1,400 .223 rounds
200 9mm rounds
The trove of weapons police discovered indicated that the pair were “armed for a second attack.”
Additionally, AP has the following account of Farook’s family history:
The records obtained Thursday by The Associated Press show that Syed Farook’s mother, Rafia, described her husband in 2006 as “irresponsible, negligent and an alcoholic.”
She said she was forced to move out of her home with three of her children because her husband continually harassed her “verbally and physically and refused to leave the home.”
She filed a no-contact, stay-away domestic violence protection petition on July 3, 2006. She alleged that same year that her husband attacked her while her kids were present, dropped a TV on her and pushed her toward a car.
@Lysander, Death by Islam might just catch on… I posted your photo btw. I forgot to add a step pointing to the small print containing the image link just below the Submit Comment Button below the comment box here on TBP…
Bracken is predicting a second Tet Offensive kind of huge wave of Islamic terrorist attacks. He thinks it will start in Europe first because of the millions of “refugees” flooding their countries. The US won’t be far behind by the looks of it. And our “leaders” are either clueless or they’re cultural Marxists “using” the radical Muslims to accelerate the destruction of western values and institutions so that they, the Marxists, can establish a socialist paradise out of the ashes. Good luck with that.
https://westernrifleshooters.wordpress.com/2015/11/29/bracken-tet-take-two-islams-2016-european-offensive/
daddysteve,
I have it on good authority that the bodies were falling at free-fall speed.
12 pipe bombs.
California definitely needs better pipe bomb control laws. No one needs that many pipe bombs, 1 or 2 should be enough for most people.
Yet I don’t hear even a squeak coming from the left about tightening pipe bomb regulations.
But the National Pipe Bomb Association probably has Congress under its thumb anyway and would block it.
My Choctaw spidey sense called this a mooslim attack when I first heard of it. The news said “white” perps. I thought “white my red ass. Thems mooslims for sure”.
Spidey sense is never wrong. Called them white immediately. What asshole.
Another False Flag?
Killers reported connection to ISIS, shooters killed or silenced so they can’t talk, Obama immediately calls for gun control, ships and troops heading toward Syria, timing coincides with revelations about Turkish, NATO, Israeli, and US connections with ISIS in Syria, cui bono (who benefits), etc.
Why am I suspicious? Shouldn’t you be too?
@Robert Slidell-your comment wasted no words and hit the target dead on. +100
@Phil, bullshit, those assholes have been doing this shit for 1000years.
So they had approx 4000 rounds of 223 and 2000 rounds of 9mm. I bet most media will state that as if that is a “stockpile”.
Every recreational 3gun competitor has at least that for practice and competing and there are plenty of people who way in excess of those quantities.
The issue will be painted as guns and ammo being easily available and easy to stockpile while the real issue isnt that he was “radicalized”, he was just a normal koran following muzzie and our govt wants all the populace to be “soft targets”
Well fuck that noise!!!
I have known folks with more than a million rounds. They were not terrorists or murderers. Almost everyone I knew had more than 4000 rounds. Hell, I had more shotgun shells than that. We would reload them, and would burn through hundreds and hundreds and thousands in one day blasting away at clay targets and such. Lord only knows how many 22 shells we had on hand. Etc.
Tell me again how many rounds DHS has? And why?
Terrorist attack = take guns away from folks so they cannot protect themselves from a terrorist attack.
You cannot make this shit up.
Misinformation and disinformation, people. If you step back and look at the whole picture, you know this stinks. Have you seen anything on the news about the Russian statements about Turkey and the implication that the US was aiding them to smuggle Syrian oil for the benefit of Erdogan’s inner crowd, and God knows who else? Or about how, if true, that the US govt has been pretending to fight IS out there, and in reality they are just fucking around, missing targets on purpose? I always wonder what is REALLY happening when these things happen, and the new “hate”, “gay”, “PC” agenda of the month is rolled out. I may be wrong. Maybe I don’t know shit, but something tells me lots of these things happen so they can keep taking the wheelbarrows of money to the fucking bank while we are “entertained” or “terrorized”.
From the article linked to this post: “His degree of faith is very high,” the director, Mustafa Kuko, told Reuters. “He was a very quiet person, peaceful, never had an argument with anyone or a dispute.”
Apparently not! Reports are that he had a heated argument with a devout Christian over whether Islam is a religion of peace some weeks/months back. That Christian was one of the dead in that conference room.
So Thinker is probably correct–both Workplace Violence AND terrorism.
Question: AR-15’s are illegal in California since 2001, unless you owned one at the time of the ban and it was grandfathered. Reports were that all of the killer’s guns were purchased legally–how is that? Was this guy in California before 2001?
“Uzi’s, AK-47s, AR-15s, Bushmaster semi-automatic rifles – all are banned by California’s Assault Weapons Control Act. Yet thousands of the guns legally remain in the state.
Anyone who registered an assault weapon with the California Department of Justice’s Bureau of Firearms before Jan. 23, 2001, effectively was grandfathered in. All told, that’s 145,253 guns that would be illegal if purchased today.
Owners of these grandfathered guns need to keep a signed letter from the state proving they are the legal owner. They aren’t allowed to sell it or give it away; it’s a felony to transfer ownership of a registered assault weapon.”
Also that picture looks a lot different than this one that the media is showing–does a smile and clean face change a person’s appearance that much? And the wife doesn’t look very “Arab”–more like an American. Plus Syed Rizwan Farook has a brother also named Syed Farook, I think.
Finally, what happened to the 3rd shooter? A 3rd person was captured at the shootout scene but apparently was “not involved”, yet all the news reports during the incident yesterday said there were three. What gives? Reminds me of the situation of the guy at Sandy Hook in camo clothes scurrying through the woods.
Rise up is correct re “assault weapons” in Calif. More or less by definition, the long guns were almost certainly not “purchased legally”-they were either transferred illegally or imported to Calif illegally. or purchased when he was 14 years old-illegal in CA. Not that I agree with CA’s laws (I most certainly do not), just sayin’. Interestingly, it is not inherently illegal to export “AWs” from CA.
@ Rise Up…’The third shooter’…that’s what’s bothering me as well. That’s all I heard yesterday that there were three shooters, two men and one woman. I heard it over and over again.
You know why we don’t hear about it? Maybe it’s because the .gov can say it was just that married couple who were radical. They already started a side narrative that she radicalized him. That way they make her to be the ‘bad guy’ who flipped a American born musloid into a jihadist. But if there’s a third, unrelated, shooter, then it’s a musloid terror cell and that is something the .gov will NEVER admit exists. Especially if the terror cell consists of a Pakistani import and two ‘made in America’ musloid killers.
How do we know that these two were actually a married couple? They got married in Saudi Arabia, sure, but what if it was a phony, or an arraigned pairing in order to facilitate her coming into the country? Maybe she was the only person with the connections to some other terror cells or persons who supply weapons.
And if those two were part of a terror cell, then the $64K question is “How many musloids are in that particular terror cell?” 3? 5? 10? A hundred?
@Lysander – Michael Savage talked about “Fiance Visas” on his radio show today, supposedly created by the Obummer administration. Here’s a description from the USCIS webpage:
Fiancé(e) Visas
This page provides information for U.S. citizens wishing to bring a foreign national fiancé(e) living abroad to the United States to marry.
If you plan to marry a foreign national outside the United States or your fiancé(e) is already residing legally in the United States, you do not need to file for a fiancé(e) visa. See the “Green Card” page.
Application Process
File Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e).
Eligibility Requirements
If you petition for a fiancé(e) visa, you must show that:
You (the petitioner) are a U.S. citizen.
You intend to marry within 90 days of your fiancé(e) entering the United States.
You and your fiancé(e) are both free to marry and any previous marriages must have been legally terminated by divorce, death, or annulment.
You met each other, in person, at least once within 2 years of filing your petition. There are two exceptions that require a waiver:
1. If the requirement to meet would violate strict and long-established customs of your or your fiancé(e)’s foreign culture or social practice.
2. If you prove that the requirement to meet would result in extreme hardship to you.
Now, thanks to Maggie, I know how to post images, I will put this up (I used it in another post as well):
@ Rise Up, thanks for the heads up on the ‘fiancée’ clause, otherwise known as the ‘smuggle your female terrorists into America risk free’ clause. I just listened to the first 10 minutes of Savage’s broadcast and it was a doozy! LOL, he really hates Ovomit’s guts! Thanks again.
And the lights are going out all over the world. Everyone needs to light a candle and pass the ammo. Do we not understand what is happening? Screw Islam and progressive politicians, I see much trouble ahead!
What happened to the guy detained at the SUV shooting scene? Not a word about him today.
@left a comment , that nutless bastard would be me. I know who the enemy is and have done absolutely nothing to stop them. I will disagree with others but rarely attack them personally . Except Westcoaster.
@ Overthecliff…Good question. Just like the man in camo clothing filmed running from the school at Sandy Hook and captured in the woods. The cops talked to him for a few minutes and let him go. Apparently he was ‘lost’ while hunting near the school. Really? Hunting ‘near’ the school? What utter bullshit.
The third shooter in the SB shooting cannot fit the narrative of a ‘family’ gone wrong. Just like the extra shots reported during the JFK assassination, if there’s a third shooter then by definition you have a conspiracy. And if you have a conspiracy, then the public will want answers to who else is in on it. The powers that be can’t have that. They want this all buttoned up nice and neat and quick. Two shooters-man and wife-dead-case closed.
@Lysander!
It just sickens me that neighbors had seen suspicious behavior and middle eastern men carrying packages in, but didn’t report it for fear of being called “racist” and accused of “stereotyping.”
@Rise Up: the article you quoted is incorrect; one can buy an AR-15 or AK-47 semiauto any day of the week in California, albeit modified from original specs to meet the (idiotic and arbitrary) standards set out by the Kommiefornia legislature.
Where to even start eh…
I used to be a weapons dealer/manufacturer around 15 years ago, but due to “local events”, I got out of firearms.
Realistically, they’re crude, noisy mofo’s with the sole advantage of the typical gun being very compact energy dense ammunition. If people can’t get the ammo, then the firearm is useless.
Hard to beat really. As far as most people know anyway.[Firearms as you know them are about obsolete, but I won’t elaborate on that 😉 You have no idea what’s happening ‘out there’ on the CIVILIAN advanced weapons front heh, yeah]
The global problem – as the world economies implode as part of the economic cycle, governments, either through staged or unstaged events, progressively eliminate the “right” of the individual to bear arms.
In the absence of independent polygraph tests on countless politicians, we will probably never know the true nature of worldwide so called massacres.
Massacres ? What do you call the 400 MILLION lives lost in the past few decades as a result of government driven wars ? Cigarettes, drunk driving, drugs, obesity, stupidity, knives, bats etc etc.
EACH of those trumps the gun figures.
In any case it doesn’t really matter – global arms confiscation is now a given.
As I’ve been saying for years, the USA will become like Australia – you won’t even be allowed to buy a slingshot.
So, the general population has no capacity to defend themselves against ANY gun wielding criminal, unless said citizenry has considerable self-defense training with a weapons focus.
Terrorism ? The governments of the world caused it by playing planetary police and out of sheer effing greed. So what’s new in 7,000 years eh.
Religions are irrelevant. Islam and Muslims are irrelevant.
The REAL problem here is one of lack of evolution.
A firearm, or any “weapon”, is just an object, an artifact, a tool.
It is the MIND that controls said tool that dictates the reputation of said tool.
We, the human species as a whole, are simply too primitive to live in harmony with the planet, too self-centered to care about others, too biased in our views to entertain alternative views, too focused on treating symptoms rather than curing problems, too obsessed with blaming inanimate objects rather than those that misuse them.
If and when the human species EVOLVES to truly being an advanced species, rather than merely claiming to be, all the problems we face will disappear as if by magic, for the problems never existed in the first place.
In the meantime, feel free to discriminate, apportion blame, ban inanimate objects, start wars, make ludicrous amounts of money and then die, worship unproven extraterrestrial deities etc.
A handful of us choose to live.
Carlin on why fighting Mulsims who have nothign to loose will be so dangerous or as Gerald Celente’ sez’ those who have nothing to lose will lose it.
@ZombieDawg
your comment… “We, the human species as a whole, are simply too primitive to live in harmony with the planet, too self-centered to care about others, too biased in our views to entertain alternative views, too focused on treating symptoms rather than curing problems, too obsessed with blaming inanimate objects rather than those that misuse them. My cousin has lived in India for over 20 years, part of the Pondicherry, now the Auroville experiment in international community. Is that the kind of thing you are referring to here?
@ZombieDawg: absolutely, freaking agree. That said, the human mind (society, really) has failed to evolve for 6,000 years — more than enough time. It’s likely not going to happen.
Humans have an innate need for tribalism. “Sense of belonging” is one of the biggest motivators of humans, a need state that everyone taps in order to motivate behavior, whether marketers, politicians, religious institutions or otherwise. Humans have an innate need to hate those who are different — race, gender, religion, political affiliation, nationality, etc. Clever marketers have figured out how to make vast sums of money tapping into that basic fact; just look at professional sports (your team vs. mine). Politicians are the worst offenders — Dem vs. Repub, black vs. white, North vs. South, Christian vs. Muslim vs. Jewish, male vs. female — there’s no end to their ability to profit off tribalism.
Yes, individuals see beyond it, but not enough to fully evolve. In fact, isn’t there something written in the Bible about humans never really coming together? Someone more versed than I will know.
On a more interesting note, tell us more about what’s happening on the “CIVILIAN advanced weapons front” — THAT sounds fascinating.
There seems to be many mistaken beliefs about gun control in Australia. This a simple cut and paste job from Wikipedia………….https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Australia
“A common misconception is that firearms are illegal in Australia and that no individual may possess them. Although it is true that Australia has tough firearms laws, rifles and shotguns (both of which include semi-automatics), as well as handguns, are all legal.
As of 2015 about 815,000 people had a gun license in Australia and there were around 3.5 to 5.5 million Registered Firearms in Australia, with an estimated 1 to 6 million illegal firearms. Most people own and use firearms for purposes such as hunting, controlling feral animals, collecting, security work, and target shooting. Firearm ownership in Australia is increasing, for example the state Tasmania has more guns per capita with an average of 1 gun every 4 people or one gun every family household, followed by the Northern Territory with 1 gun every 5 people.”
“Firearms in Australia are grouped into categories set out in the National Firearm Agreement, with different levels of control. The categories are:
Category A: Rimfire rifles (not semi-automatic), circuit loaded firearms. shotguns (not pump-action or semi-automatic), air rifles including semi automatic, and paintball gun. A “Genuine Reason” must be provided for a Category A firearm.
Category B: Centrefire rifles including bolt action pump action and lever action (not semi-automatic), muzzleloading firearms made after 1 January 1901. A category B licence also covers category A but not vice versa
Category C: Self-loading rimfire rifles holding 10 or fewer rounds and pump-action or self-loading shotguns holding 5 or fewer rounds. Primary producers, occupational shooters[clarification needed], firearm dealers, firearm safety officers, collectors and some clay target shooters can own functional Category C firearms.
Category D: Self-loading centrefire rifles, pump-action or self-loading shotguns holding more than 5 rounds. Functional Category D firearms are restricted to government agencies and occupational shooters. Collectors may own deactivated Category D firearms.
Category H: Handguns including air pistols and deactivated handguns. Neither South Australia nor Western Australia require deactivated handguns to be regarded as handguns after deactivation. This situation prompted the deactivation and diversion of thousands of handguns to the black market in Queensland[vague] – the loophole[which?] shut since 2001) This class is available to target shooters and certain security guards whose job requires possession of a firearm. To be eligible for a Category H firearm, a target shooter must serve a probationary period of 6 months using club handguns, after which they may apply for a permit. A minimum number of matches yearly to retain each category of handgun and be a paid-up member of an approved pistol club.”
“Category R/E: Restricted weapons, such as machine guns, rocket launchers, full automatic self loading rifles, flame-throwers, anti-tank guns, Howitzers and other artillery weapons can be owned by collectors in some states provided that these weapons have been rendered permanently inoperable. They are subject to the same storage and licensing requirements as fully functioning firearms.”
Okay, this still sucks big time and I would not endorse this blatant .gov control over our citizens right to the 2nd A, but the fact is that one can still own guns in Australia.
