2 THINGS TO NOTICE ABOUT THESE EXPLOSIONS …. ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE A 9-11 TRUFER NUTJOB

1. Notice that NOT ONE SINGLE demolition collapse ….. STARTS AT THE TOP, as is the case with the WTC towers. Not. One. Ultimately, it is not the explosion that brings down a building, it is gravity. And that’s why ALL demolitions focus on destroying support columns at THE BOTTOM, and middle (for taller buildings), and NEVER at the top. Is that fuckin’ clear enough!!??
2. LOOK AT DEM DERE SQUIBS!!!
Truthers just love their SQUIBS! They even circle the little fuckers, in case you might miss them. Truthers say it is an explosive charge going off … and a SURE sign of a “controlled demolition”.
They say that these squibs increase with time as the building collapses. Indeed, in the above picture they event say “Oops … too early!”. Horseshit. Sadly for them, this is the exact reverse of how these explosions work! The strongest point in the explosion is the moment the charge is set off, and when ALL the squibs have detonated before the building starts falling. They don’t go off AS the building is falling (as the above picture demands).
Truthers have squibs going off as low as the 40th floor. Think about how insanely illogical that is …. 60 floors have already collapsed, and they still have squibs exploding just as the collapse reaches the 40th floor! Fuckin’ nuts.
Go back at look at the videos. Are those squibs tiny little puffs of smoke barely visible, or are they BIG AND LOUD AND VERY VISIBLE? Do they occur AS the building is falling, or all at once before the building falls? Do they occur at the top, or the middle and bottom? When you answer those questions correctly, you will no longer be bedazzled by Truther bullshit.

I think it’s in the documentary by Massimo Mazzucco called “September 11 The New Pearl Harbor” that Norman Minetta is quoted observing that a junior officer was reading off the distances away from the Pentagon that a plane approaching it was, waiting over and over again for Cheney to issue the command to shoot it down. Finally the guy explicitly asked if Cheney wanted to change the order (i.e. give an order to shoot down the plane) and Cheney angrily asks the junior officer if he had issued him a different order. As Norman Minetta tells the story, it’s very clear that Cheney could have had that plane shot down and explicitly chose not to do so.
And way back around comment #100 I asked, if the official story was true about how the twin towers and, even more so, WTC7 collapsed then why haven’t building codes been changed to address this? Yes, there were some changes made regarding the number and positions of stairwells but no changes in regard to fire safety. I’m a civil engineer. Everything we do is set up to have big safety factors. If a building could actually collapse like the official story says WTC7 did then it would revolutionize the perspective of the whole industry in regard to fire safety. Even a tiny chance of this happening according to the official story would be taken very very seriously. But the official story is quietly dismissed by engineers and the people who write the building codes.
How about insurance companies? Imagine that you were the head of an insurance company that had fire policies on large steel frame buildings all around the country. My god, if the official story is true then you have to jack your policy costs way way up. You thought, up till then, that steel frame skyscrapers couldn’t collapse due to fire. And now your beloved government is saying that they can. How come the costs to insure every multi story building in the country against fire didn’t go way way up? Maybe because the people who actually make such determinations of how likely a tragic event is knew that the official story was false.
There is a large and growing body of engineers, scientists, and architects that are concerned enough about Building 7 that they are calling for a new investigation. They are not proposing theories. They are pointing out that the government investigation into 9/11 gave a conclusion that is not convincing. There are too many questions, too many inconsistencies. But it is very hard to convince a public that refuses to believe that government could be so flawed and evil. Indeed, the human mind behaves in such a way when reality is overwhelming.
Looking at the government windfall profits in terms of power and money, the one thing that we should also answer about 9/11 is qui bono?

I was not near OKC the day the Murrah building was bombing by Tim McVeigh and his alleged accomplice (or not, depending on what story you believe.) I did see the building in the days after before they demolished it.

If the story that McVeigh, Nichols and a possible third John Doe were retaliating for the Waco fiasco seems flimsy, does it matter if McVeigh actually was videotaped walking away from the truck? (Waco fiasco was when tanks and FBI agents overran the compound of separatist leader David Koresh, claiming he was abusing children and stockpiling weapons so that meant the compound where he was living needed to be destroyed.)
An enormous amount of money poured into the new federal building in OKC and the memorial is beautiful and poignant. The wall of memories: photos, mementos, notes and letters, various and sundry items left in tribute in 1995 and since that time continue to be displayed. That site, to me, is the tragedy that has never stopped echoing.

Concept #1) You made the claim that Cheney didn’t give any shoot down orders because of mass confusion and a general assertion of bumbling. People have demonstrated that according to testimony there was AMPLE warning that something was entering restricted airspace uninvited and Cheney had ample time to give the order to shoot down *whatever* it was and it was not due to any “It’s all happening so fast ohhh woe but there are civilians on that plane maybe it just wants to be our friend!?!?!?”
Concept #2) Hardscrabble also demonstrated that there was a drill running that day where part of the drill is inserting fake radar signatures for drill purposes. Like you know… putting a full commercial airliner signature over something smaller.
Concept #3) People feel the physical evidence at the crash is insufficient for a commercial airliner given what can be seen at other crash sites for similar planes.
Discussions about Cheney’s behavior in response to a radar signature is not to be conflated with discussions about rubble at a crash site and treated as if they are conflicting “problems”… especially when there is *also* verification that inserting fake radar signatures for training purposes happens.
If you honestly can’t hold these 2-3 concepts in your mind at once without jumbling them up into one thought then you can’t be trusted.

Well, I had a comment ready to post when my son’s laptop up and started doing its daily routine without asking my permission. The good thing about his laptop is that he’s installed some OS that doesn’t show thumbs here.
Because, for anyone stalking me for my comment about hoping Admin resolves the issue soon because I really enjoyed reading the articles and the no holds barred dialogue from the regulars here, who, for the most part, seemed well read and able to complete a thought on a keyboard without resorting to name-calling at least most of the time. Now, when my son returns to our little hillbilly hideaway prior to returning to college, I think I will have him install this OS on my computer and I will be TBP thumbless as well.
This thread was an entertaining read after a long trip here that involved a 3 hour layover in Atlanta. I tried to read some of it on the phone enroute, but that is a pain in the ass and it wasn’t THAT entertaining. Besides, I got worried about flying so close to D.C., even on Delta. Let’s see. OKC bombing was the one that changed my opinion of a lot of things, so I won’t even jump into the ring on the subject matter. They sent a lot of people from the base down to help with cleanup at the Murrah building site and there was a lot of gossip. But, it was just gossip. No proof.
My friend worked in the Journal Record building across the street and claims she heard additional explosions, but admits that could have been caused by the falling of the structure onto furnaces or other appliances.
Hmmm. Let’s see. I’ve been stalked by a real loser in real life, so inane comments are annoying but since it is only words on a screen, the annoyance disappears when I go do something else. Here in the beltway, while my son wraps up his summer internship, I’m not as tasked with chores as I am normally, but there are other things to do. It makes me think of this old Lt Col who used to jog in his tight running shorts all around the base trying to stay fit, but he was really skeletal. In Saudi, at the hotel Al Yamamah (No kidding, look it up) there was a huge swimming pool (that was never really cleaned, they just pumped more clorine into it) with about an inch of suntan oil floating on top. This old creep would wear a man’s bikini swimsuit out there and make casual remarks to us “girls” getting suntans so we would look up at him. He looked a LOT like this guy, except no beard.
We “girls” could hardly stop the laughter when he walked away. But, he truly thought he was one hot old guy in that bikini.

Admin… sorry, I hijacked the comments for the queer dude in his elf costume. I just wanted to see the comments go beyond 400. And FYI? Without thumbs, I think there would be fewer replies. I’m not sure why that is, but when I was doing PR work, I discovered that I got a lot more participation from those surveyed when I included simple yes/no or like/dislike choices with an “explain why.” Of course, we were just trying to see what drew explanation and we tried to make the questions slanted or biased, but unless you got someone to commit to agreeing or disagreeing, they seemed to prefer to scrawl n/a and/or skip the questions.
