This ignores the fact that a politician’s life is consumed with making DECISIONS, and what a man (or, woman) chooses is largely based on that person’s character. It is impossible to make decisions in a moral vacuum. The fact that Trump’s personal life has been one comprised by one immoral decision after another — including three marriages, infidelities, and four bankruptcies — indicate to me that he does not have the qualities of being an effective humble public servant. Rather, he possesses a tremendous ego and a disturbing lust for power. Why can’t people see this? You who say he can’t be worse than the crap we’ve had with the evil Troika of Bush(es), Clinton, and Obama, please stop kidding yourselves. This man possesses an extraordinary damage potential, worse than you’ve ever seen, if he ever directly wielded the power of the presidency.

Great write up on Trump. That video is a riot, it deserves it’s own post. Anyone who has followed Trump for more than 5 minutes should know he is a two faced, self promoting bullshitter of the first order. Strictly for selfish reasons I like to see him succeed on some level because he is by far the most entertaining, and he makes the media and the other blowhard candidates so uncomfortable. As far as I see it it makes little difference as to who is elected President. I could very well be wrong on this point, but with a federal bureaucracy, congress and judicial branches that are so entrenched that a sea change in the direction of the government is highly unlikely until the collapse happens. Well, you’ve convinced me. I never really took him seriously, but I admired how he didn’t fold like a wet noodle whenever feminists, white knights, and leftists demanded his apology. The public is a shambling mass or neuroses and insecurities, failings and malcontents masquerading as a force for goodness and fairness and equality and equanimity and virtue when nothing could be further from the truth. I understand Stucky’s reluctance to endorse anyone running for President. If we were truly a pluralistic, equalitarian nation based on the notion that “all men are created equal” we would choose representatives and President via random lottery because that would be fair and because no one is more or less qualified than anyone else. Thinking back on all the presidential elections in the age of television, the guy with greater on-camera presence/charisma has always won. (Feel free to correct me if you think of an exception.) Sadly for the GOP, Trump is probably the only guy/gal running who actually has charisma.
