Stucky Intervention #1: HF

Hardscrabble Farmer says — “We did not land on the moon.”

This is amazing, and I gave him some shit for it. Kinda like this …..

However, that’s not helpful.

If you like and admire HF, and it seems that most here do, then help him out via this “intervention”.  He seems worth saving. Show him the error of his ways.

Note:  — Ignore any attempts by HF to halt this intervention. He  might say “I don’t need it!“,  or “I don’t care!”, or sundry other excuses.  This is what these people do.  The Road To Denial leads to destruction. So, help him out, regardless. Lead him to The Road Of Sanity.

As a side benefit, you’ll probably be helping out Bea Lever also — as he loves every and all conspiracies.

Several others here need interventions as well.  I’ll get to you in due time.

If you don’t like the idea of an “intervention”, then think of it as a Question Of The Day —- “Did we land on the fucken’ moon, or not?”

They kept the oxygen scrubber in the trunk of the lunar rover which was roughly 3/4 of the size of the lunar module to save space so the astronauts could sqeeeeeeze in and enjoy the ride.

I said in my earlier post above I was not going to “weigh in on the Moon”. But now I want to. Watching the shit-throwing on this between Stucky and HSF here makes me feel like I am Charlie Sheen in the movie “Platoon”.

Lately, over my lunch hours, I have been watching another Viet Nam flick on Netflix. Ironically, it’s another Kubrick film: “Full Metal Jacket”. Yesterday, I watched the part where “Joker” gets his ass chewed by a colonel for wearing a peace symbol on his chest with the words “Born to Kill” written on his helmet. Joker tells the colonel: “It’s a Jungian thing”. This resonated with me because I am fascinated by the duality of human nature.

In spite of my “tin-foil hat” cynicism, I have always taken the Moon as a “given”. I remember walking out the door to play with friends, when my parent stopped me and told me watch the TV. I did and saw the first small step and giant leap of the first man on the moon. Never forgot that.
On the other hand, as I have grown older, I have come to understand and appreciate the sinister evil of the deep state war machine as alluded to by Eisenhower and the secret societies as mentioned by Kennedy.

I also believe the banking elite took over after Kennedy.

So, being an inquiring mind, beginning last night and through today, I read have read all of the pro and contrarian comments/posts, links, vids and etc. One that I found especially interesting was Gator’s link (yesterday) @ 17th February 2016 at 11:10 pm – regarding “Wagging the Moondoggie” . Here the author makes his case that the entire Apollo program could have been a “Wagg the Dog” scenario under Nixon to take attention away from Viet Nam (on behalf of the War Machine, obviously). What better way to do this than to give the American Citizenry the MOON! That seems so typical of what I have learned to expect from TPTB.

Do I believe, either way? Still can’t decide. In a “Jungian archetype” way, I don’t want to let go of my belief in how American exceptionalism put a man on the Moon. I also may not want to believe I could have been fooled in such a grand manner. Moreover, I read Chuck Yeager’s autobiography years ago, saw the movie “The Right Stuff” and am a distant relative of John Glenn on my mother’s side. I don’t see how a faked moon landing could have been pulled off. TTBP keeps fucking shit up left and right and I don’t see how they could have done it without one whistleblower providing INDISPUTABLE evidence of it being faked.

On the other hand, as I get older, the cynic in me wonders I have come to recognize there is no limit to what the satanically evil power elite will do to pave their way towards owning the world. And, the Stanley Kubrick angle does mess with my mind.

In any event, it has been interesting to see HSF and Stucky go at it here:

Carl Jung once said:

“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”

Watery eyes of the last sighing seconds,
blue reflections mute and dim
beckon tearful child of wonder
to repentance of the sin.
And the blind and lusty lovers
of the great eternal lie
go on believing nothing
since something has to die.
And the ape’s curiosity
— money power wins,
and the yellow soft mountains move under him.
I’m with you L.E.M.
though it’s a shame that it had to be you.
The mother ship is just a blip
from your trip made for two.
I’m with you boys,
so please employ just a little extra care.
It’s on my mind
I’m left behind
when I should have been there
Walking with you
And the limp face hungry viewers
fight to fasten with their eyes
like the man hung from the trapeze
— whose fall will satisfy.
And congratulate each other
on their rare and wondrous deed
That their begrudged money bought
to sow the monkey’s seed.
And the yellow soft mountains
they grow very still
witness as intrusion the humanoid thrill.

Like in “Platoon”, directed by Oliver Stone (not a conspiracy theorist at all, that guy):

Charlie Sheen is torn between William Dafoe and Tom Berenger. How does one choose? One’s a little bit country. The other’s a little bit rock & roll. Both could be right. Both could be wrong.

I don’t know. I just want to make it outta’ here alive…

Stucky wrote-

“Your items #1, #5, and #6 have nothing to do with science. Rather, it’s Political Philosophy. Your comments are at the root source of every conspiracy theory out there …….. THE GOVERNMENT IS EVIL AND THEY LIE TO US, therefore, you can’t believe a word they say!!!!!

Yes, the government is evil. Yes, they lie to us. But, what follows the “therefore” abover is completely illogical. For the statement to be true, the government would have to lie 100% of the time. And the fact is, no government ever lies 100% of the time.”

I didn’t say I was going to offer a scientific proof of why I believe what I believe, I said I was going to give you some valid reasons that I find logically compelling. Your threshold of what is required behavior from a government seems to be a low bar indeed. Your decision, not mine.

I don’t need to have someone lie to me “100% of the time” to find them to be unbelievable. This government has a very long track record of “untruths” (isn’t that the best? almost sounds like a kind of truth instead of a lie) and often about things with big price tags. Therefore they lack credibility. They MAY be telling the truth, but I don’t believe it. Therefore we did not go to the Moon, ipso facto.

Listen, I get it, you believe the story- and it is a good one- and I no longer believe it. It’s not a failing on my part that caused the change in me, it was a failing in the leadership and the systemic corruption of the bureaucracy that keeps them in power that changed my mind. Can I prove it? To my satisfaction, of course or we wouldn’t be having this discussion. To anyone who believes it because the government would have to lie 100% of the time for it to be false? Not so much.

Let’s just agree to disagree, for old times sake.

Bea Lever says:
“I/S-

If you iz so smart at working the internet, how abouts you post all them links on how to survive a round trip through 6 radiation belts for them astronauts. I’ll be waiting fer them. ”

What say you blow me and look that shit up yourself. I’d bet the sum total of what you know about the Van Allen Radiation Belts is that they exist and have radiation right?

Do you know anything about the nature of the radiation? How strong it is? What the exposure limits might be? Do they circle the Earth entirely? Are there weaker areas? Are they stronger at some times and weaker at others? What factors might mitigate the radiation exposure when sending men and spacecraft through them?

These days ignorance on most topics is largely willful.

Very true. Recognizing the problem is half the battle. All that’s left to do now is turn off your computational dee-vice, cancel the propaganda pipeline coming into your house or dumb phone and apply liberal quantities of tinfoil to your melon.

The same can be said with respect to libraries and other sources of info. You’re supposed to be intelligent enough to sort the wheat from the chaff when it comes to research. It’s a lot more fun than doing Sudoku puzzles and you get to learn all kinds of cool shit along the way.

I/S- Actually , you may be shocked at how much I have read about the Van Allens Radiation Belts and the NASA flights to the moon. I would say that I have put in as many hours as HF easily.

That’s WHY I don’t believe them.

Then why the fuck you asking me to research for you? You believes yer propaganda and I’ll believes mine!

You never did answer my question the other day (couple weeks back) when you accused me of just willfully sitting back and accepting the storyline re 9-11. I had said something along the lines of Hitlary’s “What difference does it make?” as I recall.

I believe my question was something like “What exactly should I change in my life today regarding the BS story foisted upon us by da goobermint?”

If you answered I missed it.

I trust that none of you people saw the epic movie Capricorn One starring a Mr. Orenthal James Simpson. The movie depicted what NASA did to keep their funding going when a Mars trip failed. They staged a Mars landing, videoing the whole thing on a soundstage. Sound familiar. What was the motivation? To keep the dream alive and more importantly keep the money flowing into the agency. Possible in reality, why not? Everything else we get from the government is bullshit so why not a moon landing? Do I want to believe that? No. Could it happen? Maybe HSF is on the right path.

The reason I almost never comment on a HSF article is because of, well, him holding certain nut job beliefs. Not landing on the moon is one such.

The stupid, it burns.

HSF writes beautifully. But damn, not landing on the moon? Seriously?

Such a fraud could not stand. It could not stand. Too many adversaries would jump to discredit it. Too many folks involved would leak it.

I know folks who worked at NASA. Without a shadow of a doubt men walked on the moon.

I’m dismissed without expressing an opinion one way or the other simply for encouraging people to do their own research. I think some TBP regulars have jumped the shark.

Drud, someone needs to write a book about your uncle. I think Armstrong still holds the record for the number of different types of vehicles flown but I’ll bet Bill Dana flew a few.

A few years ago I was visiting a friend I don’t see too often and the conversation turned to the A-12/SR-71 spy planes and he started talking about a trinket he had and bet me that I couldn’t identify it. After a few hours of haggling, the bet was $100 cash against his trinket.

As soon as he put it in my hand I knew WHAT it was but not its origin. I guessed turbine fan blade off an APU. I thought he was gonna cry. I was right and he said it came from the X-15 and had been flown. I let him give me $100 and let him keep his very cool trinket.

Re: Space travel thru the Inner [120 to 600 mi] and Outer [8.0K to 37.5K mi] Van Allen Radiation Belts

The Apollo missions marked the first event where humans traveled through the Van Allen belts, which was one of several radiation hazards known by mission planners.[30] The astronauts had low exposure in the Van Allen belts due to the short period of time spent flying through them. Apollo flight trajectories bypassed the inner belts completely to send spacecraft through only the thinner areas of the outer belts.[24][31] The command module’s inner structure was an aluminum “sandwich” consisting of a welded aluminium inner skin, a thermally bonded honeycomb core, and a thin aluminium “face sheet”. The steel honeycomb core and outer face sheets were thermally bonded to the inner skin.

Astronauts’ overall exposure was actually dominated by solar particles once outside Earth’s magnetic field. The total radiation received by the astronauts varied from mission to mission but was measured to be between 0.16 and 1.14 rads (1.6 and 11.4 mGy), much less than the standard of 5 rem (50 mSv) per year set by the United States Atomic Energy Commission for people who work with radioactivity.[30]

The burden of proof rests with the positive assertion, no? A la Russel’s Cosmic Teapot.

I don’t believe in the moon landing mostly because;

A/ it doesn’t matter

B/ it fucks with people’s head and is a good lead in to, “why would you believe anything the government tells you?”

C/ I have been to Sudbury several (too many) times.

I don’t believe we went to the moon. 1) Because the .gov lies continually. 2) I watched a video in which a NASA scientist said they can’t go to Mars because they haven’t figured out how to get the astronauts through the Van Allen Belt. If they figured it out to get to the moon, why can’t they figure it out to get to Mars? It didn’t happen.
I’ve seen other evidence in books and videos as well that was very convincing.
