Question of the day, weekend edition

I’ve spent the last 45 minutes at a party trying to eat, all the while listening to 2 breeders have an in depth discussion on water breaking, dilation, what happens to your nipples, and various other breeder topics. I understand that these individuals have a very limited intellect, but are these topics appropriate at parties?

11-year-old boy shoots burglar who ‘cried like a baby’

TALLADEGA, Ala. — An 11-year-old boy who was home alone shot and injured a burglar, causing the suspect to “cry like a little baby.”

WVTM reported that it happened Wednesday morning after somebody broke inside a home in Talladega, Alabama.

Chris Gaither, 11, heard a noise and grabbed a nine-millimeter hand gun.

“When he was coming down the stairs, that’s when he told me he was going to kill me, f-you and all that,” Gaither said.

The boy started firing at the suspect, who made it out the front door with a hamper in his hand.

“I shot through the hamper he was carrying,” Gaither said. “It was a full metal jacket bullet. It went straight through the back of his leg. He started crying like a little baby.”

The injured suspect was taken to a hospital. Police have not released his name. The boy’s mother said the suspect has robbed them before and they don’t know him personally.

WE DON’T HAVE A REVENUE PROBLEM

Does anyone in their right mind think we are taxed too little? Are we getting $6 trillion worth of benefit from having a massive government controlling every aspect of our lives? Have these government drones improved education, our infrastructure, or our economy with the $6 trillion per year they steal from us at gunpoint?

The Oligarchy Is Tottering – Trump Tramples The Neocons’ “False Song Of Globalism”

Submitted by Justin Raimondo via AntiWar.com,

The reaction to GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s much-awaited foreign policy speechfrom the Washington elites was all-too-predictable: they sneered and snickered that he had mispronounced “Tanzania.” The more substantive criticisms weren’t much better: perpetual warmonger Lindsey Graham, whose presidential bid garnered zeropercent in the polls, tweeted “Trump’s FP speech not conservative. It’s isolationism surrounded by disconnected thought, demonstrates lack of understanding threats we face.” For Graham, anything less than starting World War III is “isolationism” – a view that gives us some insight into why his presidential campaign was the biggest flop since the “new” Coke. This is the party line of neoconservatives who have long dominated Republican foreign policy orthodoxy, to the GOP’s detriment. Neocon character assassin Jamie Kirchick, writing in the European edition of Politico, put a new gloss on it by claiming to detect a Vast Kremlin Conspiracy as the animating spirit behind the Trump campaign.

Which just goes to show that having Roy Cohn as your role model can lead one down some pretty slimy rabbit holes. I guess that’s why the editors of Politico put Kirchick’s smear piece in the European edition, where hardly anyone will read it, saving a more reasonable analysis by Jacob Heilbrunn for the US version. (Although, to be sure, apiece by neocon-friendly Michael Crowley limns the same McCarthyite theme inPolitico’s magazine.)

Heilbrunn is the editor of The National Interest, publication of the Nixon Center, which has been a sanctuary for the outnumbered – but now rising – “realist” school of foreign policy analysts. The Trump speech was sponsored by TNI, and Heilbrunn gave a very interesting if somewhat defensive explanation for the motives behind their invitation to Trump, succinctly summarizing its significance:

VIOLENT LEFTISTS IN ACTION

How come Trump supporters never get violent at Hillary rallies? Who are the real problem in this country? The right or the left?

Trump protesters rallied outside the Hyatt Hotel in Burlingame, US, to denounce Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump who was set to deliver a speech at a GOP convention inside the hotel. Tensions flared after a group of protesters attempted to break down barriers set up by the police and storm the hotel.

Facebook has spent $16 million on armed security for billionaire progressive Mark Zuckerberg

This means that even as Facebook was incrementally barring law-abiding citizens–including licensed gun dealers–from advertising firearm sales for self-defense, they were spending millions to keep Zuckerberg surrounded by hired guys carrying guns.

Facebook’s ban on the advertisement of gun sales has even led to the deletion of accounts on which the word “firearms” is included.

According to Quartz, Zuckerberg “famously takes $1 annual salary” from Facebook. However, Facebook “revealed that it spent more than $16 million over the past five years on private air travel and other aspects of Zuckerberg’s ‘overall security program.’”

The amount of money spent on Zuckerberg’s security was disclosed after the SEC pressed Facebook to explain whether “security expenses” were included in “Zuckerberg’s annual compensation package.”

The company, which had previously only disclosed travel costs, provided the SEC with security costs for Zuckerberg as well. “Facebook had previously claimed that it didn’t have to report Zuckerberg’s security costs because the measures weren’t put in place for his convenience, so they didn’t fall under rules governing the disclosure of executive perks.”

Zuckerberg’s number two–chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg–spent $1.25 million on security last year.

Breitbart News reported that private citizens were banned from advertising gun sales on Facebook on January 29.
