Wage gap. That complaint is really getting old.

Women who want to earn man-bucks need to
work 60-80 hours a week for a decade to “make
partner” or own a business and work 60-90h
a week for a decade to get parity.

Most women work part-time on and off and
essentially, live on their husband’s $. No
husband? The women will get their money
from the government…or by screwing the
man in divorce court for 20+ years of child
support.

So solly so sad…that is the truth.

So correct Suzanna. But it’s plenty of fodder for the feminists and the brainwashed.

I have spent the majority of my career as a Compensation Manager in large organizations, and I can assure you there is no wage gap between men and women in the same profession when the following variables are accounted for:

1) Education
2) Experience
3) Career History
4) Continuous tenure
5) Performance

The biggest reasons women do not make as much as men in the overall economy:

1) Choice of profession
2) Overall lesser continuous tenure
3) Overall lesser seeking of advancement
4) Overall lesser salary negotiation skills
5) Overall lesser amount of total work experience

Statistical analysis has shown that women in female-dominated professions (Nursing, Teaching) earn slightly more money than men in the same profession when all the above variables are accounted for. The primary reason for this turns out to be an edge in continuous tenure, which women do not have as much of in most other professions.

People like me have striven to make the goal of Equal Pay for Equal work a reality in American labor markets, and by and large, we have succeeded. It has turned out to be very good for business. The difficulty is in getting people to understand what equal work actually means, and what equals what.

Kinda funny that it’s been pointed out that Obozo and the Hilldabeast both pay their female staff members less than their male staff members .

I was Director of Payroll for a Fortune 500 Company until I retired.

In virtually every pay grade I analyzed, women were paid slightly MORE than men.

While there may still be a few neanderthal small businessmen who pay women less, that is not the case at any big corporation.

It’s long past time for people to wake up and see the truth. If women were really paid less than men, the lawyers would be having a field day with lawsuits.

You don’t see very many lawsuits charging big corporations with wage discrimination against women, now do you?

I have a female colleague in her early 30’s who likes to complain about the gender inequality in our field. It’s moved beyond pay since as other commentators have said, it doesn’t exist. The big one which is harped on is the “missing 30%” since the colleges are graduating roughly a 50/50 male to female ratio but 10-15 years on the industry is male dominated. The feminists can’t seem to get it through their heads that a whole slew of those women go have families and leave the profession. In a field that doesn’t look kindly on any gap in work history they just don’t return to the traditional practice. Nothing wrong with that but holy shit does it have the childless feminists in the profession up in arms.

Don’t get me started on the hang wringing over why black people don’t pick the profession, i.e. college degree. Some of the professional organizations literally make it seem like the Universities still have Jim Crow laws in effect keeping them out of the classes.
