The Deep State wins again

by Crimson Avenger, posting at Defiant Thinking

Last night, Donald Trump let us all know that he lost in his attempt to “drain the swamp” (if that was ever actually his true intent). Instead, the swamp drained him. The Deep State proved that they continue to call the shots.

Trump repeatedly said that we should focus on ISIS, not Syria; that Syria was none of our business. The Russians were taking care of the situation in Syria. And, for a country $20 trillion in debt, it makes sense to let someone else solve problems in the Middle East sometimes.

And this week’s chemical weapon attack was so clearly a false flag. As Ron Paul notes, why in the world would Assad gas his own people when he’s winning? He’s taken back lots of territory; he has the support of the Russians (who would certainly abandon or censure him if he did this); and the US has recently been acknowledged that he’ll likely stay in power, and that we’re ok with that. So why would you possibly do something guaranteed to turn the world against you?

And yet here we are, lobbing missiles into another sovereign nation, potentially stirring up an international incident with their superpower partner. Exactly what the Deep State needs: More conflict, more war.

Trump has been captured just as Obama had been captured.

Remember candidate Obama? He was against the Iraq War from the start. Here’s what he said in 2002:

Now let me be clear — I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power. He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity. He’s a bad guy. The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him.

But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history. I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a U.S. occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaida. I am not opposed to all wars. I’m opposed to dumb wars.

His opposition to the war was part of his platform in 2008. And yet, in 2017, NPR notes that Obama had the distinction of being the first two-term president in history to be at war every single day of his presidency. Not only did we not end the Iraq War, we sustained the Afghanistan War, turned Libya into a failed state, seeded an uprising in the Ukraine and supported Saudi Arabia as it went to war in Yemen.

The lesson is clear: The Deep State holds the reigns, and no matter what a candidate says, they’ll get on board the Deep State train in short order once assuming the office.

Exactly. It was never in doubt. Even if Trump was the hero his supporters hope and pray he is it wouldn’t matter. Vote all you want. It doesn’t matter. The game is rigged.

Please give me the winning lottery ticket numbers for next week!

We’ll see how things turn out. No one said it was going to be easy. There is no straight path to draining the swamp. This is a game of chess, and Trump is a master. Time will tell. Hate this bullshit.

Breaking News on the why the US attacked Syria with Tomahawk missiles.

Susan Rice was just quoted as saying it was due to an offensive YouTube video.

It kinda was due to an offensive video: we saw babies trying to be saved from the gas. That’s why Trump lobbed those missiles. Go back and watch his response about the Syrian use of gas at the news conference.

the unfortunate thing is that the bulk of America is just like this… these are the same folks who didnt support trump until all their neighbors started talking about it and then they figured it was ok. now that they have supported them they cant look at the fact they were duped and accept it so they reach for anything that makes “sense” (more or less to save their fragile egos)
its closest equated to sports team bandwagon jumpers that latch onto a winner and ride that wave till the next winner (maybe holding on to a few years just in case)
I openly admit to have supported the populist rhetoric that trump delivered and pushed for him to be voted in…now its …oh shit, another one…

I was cautiously optimistic with Trump during the election and did vote for him. However, when he started to load up with GS squids, I became pretty bummed about that. I think this was the last chance to pull America back, but that ship has sailed away. It will be 24/7 deep state now.
I think it mentions somewhere in the bible a reference to Damascus burning, before Armageddon. I think we are inching a little closer to that now. I truly wanted to believe that Trump would change things. In retrospect, these psychopaths in charge will never give up their power willing. It must be taken from them by force.
I don’t think the people can rise up to defend the republic, so it will be up to the Almighty to smite America down. It’s unfortunate that many good people will suffer God’s wraith for the evil directing this once great republic. A truly sad day for liberty and freedom.

That’s an interesting map. It looks like the plan is to nuke every dam on the Columbia River and all dams on the lower Snake River as well as Boundary Dam on the border. Must be an old map too because it looks like Hanford nuclear reservation is a major target but Hanford’s reactors and processing facilities have all been shut, torn down or entombed. The place is actually beginning to look like wilderness again.

Oh well, I’ve always wanted to see some big nukes go off and even be close enough to get bowled over by the shock wave. I’d have preferred to see some above ground tests but it looks like I might have to settle for the real thing.

Damn boy. You just can’t keep from regurgitating your monotonous bullshit can you. This is the second thread you’ve polluted with the garbage that you apparently think passes for coherent debate.
You, my dopey Jew-hater, are an intellectually stunted maroon of the first order. You spew your hateful vomitus all over this website. Must be quite a trick to compose your usual drek one-handed from the safety of your parents’ basement while furiously masturbating with the other.
You’re a malignant douchebag Jack. It really is unfortunate that the “eviljoos” didn’t strangle you in the crib and save us the excruciating pain of even being aware that a steaming pile of anti-Semitic feces like you is stinking up the planet.
Jeez, what an insufferable twit you are!!

Nice map. It looks like the Northeast, Chicago, Florida, and coastal California are a sure thing. It will be worth it though Washington finally gets rid of Assad and Qatar gets the go ahead for the pipeline deal. There’s just one snag, there won’t many Europeans left to buy the gas and oil being delivered.

Why would Xi accept this kind of wedgie, since, as far as I know, he’s still sitting at the table. A decent reaction would have been to skeedaddle, but, hohum. So, what do we have? Nobody is saying Trump is a Russian stooge anymore, either. Maybe Syria took one for the team. Seems like they could easily have fired some Exocets at the destroyers, like Saddam, especially, since there was advance notice.

They could actually impeach him for this. I doubt they will, but they could. I wish they would, so we dont have to waste any more time wondering whether or not our votes mean anything.

We have a clear 180, Trump looked green last night. He has a beautiful family, lots to lose. Perhaps he was ernest in his initial MAGA emotions, perhaps he was even willing to sacrifice his own life or well being.
His opponents rightly assesed the negative consequences of his martyrdom. God only knows what depraved consequences they presented him with, after stripping away his support network.
At least clairity of our political position has been achieved.
The Republic is no more.
Now what?
From where will the Grey Champion emerge?

It’s too damn complicated

First, it probably was not Assad that delivered the gas, the photo’s appear staged and he was already winning; Sarin gas is employed only as a last resort. So the missile attack should not have happened.
But it did. So what was the outcome? President Trump has asserted himself as a leader that will play out well when he threatens NK or China, or any other nation that would ignore America, as they had done so for the last 8 years. MAGA. A few weeks ago, there were questions if he would survive with the many accusations against him, but today, it would seem foolish to say he is great friend of Putin. He is appearing less crazy and more befitting the office (this is driving the Libs crazy; always fun to watch).
But what course is Trump setting for the future? He dumped Bannon and is seeming to take a liberal heading with his new cabinet picks, but on the other, other hand, we have a (some have said) Conservative Supreme court justice; that’s got to be good for something?

It’s too damn complicated

WTF is Trump another “W”? I voted for Trump to avoid Hitlery who would have already fired off WWIII; looks like Trump is just as bad and as big a liar as Obummer.

We are the grey champions! I turned on msnbc, and CNN for about two hrs. After years of not watching, the lies, angered and amazed me. Who knows the questions better than us. Hey if Merkel, and le pen are behind us, it must be God’s will right. (Rofl).
I mean look at the tube! We have whitehelmets washing off people with bare hands. (Everybody knows whitehelmets ain’t the good guys) let alone washing sarin off would be a death sentence. They don’t even need rubber boots, or gloves.
I read that Trump had interest in pipeline companies. Him not being JFK,d at the gate, and wanting to ramp up police state very early made me skeptical early. I only saw one article about the pipeline people that told anything. They sent a huge force and overwhelmed the remainder of them brutally I think. The only thing after was how big the mess left behind was. The Donald is trying to finish starting the war “o” wanted so badly. Haley was on the tube lying about Russia and Iran being in on it. The UN is planning our demise. Snowflakes will not like being drafted, and soldier aged refugees aren’t going to war against Syria, are they. Then we have a zillion matchgrade hollow-points that don’t comply with Geneva convention. Plus all the other goodies that is in store for North America.
If we that know some of these things that are true, and don’t tell anyone. Who will??

After the UN honestly finds no Syrian WMD, President Dump owes the world an apology and Syria a bundle. Dump’s credibility is now zero and he should fire all of his NeoCon advisors.
