saw this yesterday–
sad story–apparently she had mental issues a few years ago so i’d suspect that it was either an accidental overdose or worse, she committed suicide–
either way,it’s unfortunate, especially since she had 3 kids–

I took a lot of shit from my friends because I liked “Linger” and “Ode to my Family”. She had a great voice! RIP

Saw the ‘berries at an outdoor theater many, many years ago.
Their last song of the night was Dreams, and it brought down the house.
To this day, when that one comes on, I have to take the volume up a few notches higher.
That’s an effect a good song has on some people. To others, meh.
This is a great post; sad she passed.
I’d forgotten about Ode to My Family. Like that one too, and yeah, Dio, I get that shit too.
Some tunes are best played when alone, just to avoid the ridicule. Phock ’em.
But I was exposed to a hundred songs I like, but wouldn’t have ever heard, had it not been for someone
playing it and sharing music they appreciated.
Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic” is but 1 great one, that falls in the category of previously unknown, but adopted as a fave, again, many years ago.
Sigh…time seems to be flyin’ by.

I remember when you could actually say that and not be ‘banned, shunned, and or fired’.

This was sad to hear. She had a simply glorious voice, and those first three albums were great. I put on their greatest hits CD last night while I was reading.

Jeopardy question. Name a band named after a fruit. RIP that wonderful plantiff songbird.

The Cranberries were one of the worst bands of the 80’s or ever, almost as bad as Journey. No sorry not as bad as Journey.

That’s funny, they’re two of my favorites.
