I do think that this is an excellent cover, however, does it seem to anyone else that we’re getting an AWFUL lot of remakes these days? Music, movies (Ghostbusters, Jurassic Whatever, ID4, etc), television series (Roseanne, Murphy Brown, etc), books. Whatever happened to coming up with someone NEW?
And a LOT of the stuff they are “remaking” wasn’t worth a second look in the first place!
There are new writers out there; there are talented writers out there, and a few who are both. Find them and pay them to adapt their stories! Lucas and Roddenberry aren’t the ONLY names in F&SF; talk to David Weber, L. E. Modesitt Jr. and Larry Correia!
