The post about McCain blowing up the Forrestal and killing 137 sailors has been around for a few years. It periodically went viral whenever he was in the news and someone would post it on Facebook. It has accumulated over 600 comments and now has over 250,000 views. In comparison, my most viewed Fourth Turning article topped out at 36,000 views. His death this week has propelled TBP visitor counts off the charts. The highest daily visitor count in history had been 42,000. On Sunday we reached 41,000. Yesterday we blew that away with 49,000. Today looks like at least 35,000.
So, I’d like to thank Shitstain McCain for finally dying and boosting my ad revenue for a few days. It’s about the only good thing he has accomplished in the last 30 years. I hope he brought asbestos underwear with him to hell.
Congrats on the visitor count. Hopefully a few of the new folks stick around.
Maggie, BB, Yobe, hide! It’s a surprise party! don’t come out until admin says the magic word -Oompa-loompa.
Oompa-loompa man.. that is awesome varmit. Hey maybe I should get to work on a bit to post. Infamy awaits those willing to seize opportunity….
Stucky it looks as if McCain got you one last time. The good thing is it is the last time.
Never say bad things about the dead. McCain is dead, good.
Hey congrats on the visitor count Admin. That’s great news. Nice to see that McShame doing some good for once. Sure am glad he is dead and hoping the rot sets in quick and the worms ain’t too turned off at getting to work on what needs to be done. Like I said in another thread, I do feel sorry for the worms…
So here is a song for my good buddy John.. a fitting tribute to a most disgusting human being..
Worms are not interested. Maggots maybe
Don’t know how to post videos …
“Not Now John”
RiNS, looking forward to your write up on Uhtred. Thought you were going to do an expose.
You must agree with me that the Medieval period really screwed up Christianity. Especially when it came to saints and their miracles. Quote: “So he died?” “He lived. ” So he lived?” “He went to Heaven.” “So he died?” “He lived.” You can’t make this up, but they did.
Again, I’m a full-blown Christian, but the tales they told in the Medieval period take the cake. It was the time of accommodation to pagan religions and a time of invention to make the religion acceptable to the gullible when all they really neededto do was preach the true gospel. Not everybody needs a miracle to be converted.

Well I have hesitated because I am not sure Admin wants to turn this place into a book club…
As for the tall tales that wasn’t for me what really stood out in book. For me, it was relative ease with which the English were overrun by the invading Danes. Highlighted by Edmund and his ill timed offer. As for the need for accommodation to pagan religions, well the question I would ask is, as a Viking, who is being gullible there. And it needs to be pointed out that using that angle to make religion acceptable doesn’t cast good light on anyone.
Edit…
Okay I will give it a try…
“I am not sure Admin wants to turn this place into a book club…”
You are free. Free. Stop worrying what Admin wants. Every time you try to give people freedom, they go and make themselves rules. It happened with Christianity and it happened with democracy.
But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.
wow the varmit
has turned
into a prophet…
“I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees. But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’…
lol
I agree with the easy conquest of England. It reminds me of the Marxist conquest of Russia with just a few taking over the capitol. I’m looking forward to your viewpoints.
RiNS, just read the entirety of a comment you made, as above, that was in my e-mail, but you seem to have deleted quite a bit. You should post it. Quite intriguing argument. Yes, poor Edmond. Again, I’m looking forward to your critique. I think it’s a valid argument.
I hope you buy the future books and read them. It’s quite the story. Some call the reconquest of England by Alfred a miracle, but you be the judge.
That there are other gods and the apostles were aware of this got completely left out by the middle ages, but I think they began dropping all of that info out sometime around St Augustine’s life. Not sure but I can find out more if you are interested. I have the information it’s just not handy now.
Nah I will keep things simple and just talk about Edmond. He is after all a perfect icon for what awaits old Blighty if they dont get shit there shit together and quick..
Are ya sure? Makes for a pretty interesting story even if you don’t believe..
alright forward it to my email, I think you have it, I’ll have a gander…
Funny thing is I already wrote a whole bunch and posted it here. Had a look at it after it was on Platform And as I am prone to do deleted it. I had with good intentions started out on very serious note but towards the end it had all dissolved into another of my limericks.
Not sure how funny they were but I laughed a bit to myself…
Seems lately I just can’t help myself… Anyhoo..
This time fortunately before sending it into ether, I copied and pasted into my Wordspress blog where I am going to have a go at it. With the hope that at some point it is worth posting for the shit monkeys…
We’ll see how it goes. I have been of late in an, and lets be blunt, even moar than usual irreverent state of mind..
That said thanks for the help and I look forward to your info..
cheers
RiNS
Well I think I have your email but I will have to double check. I really didn’t expect you to care so you caught me by surprise but that is a good thing. So give me a minute or a few days or so and I will get something together. The email thing is another problem. I will check and get back to you either here or through email.;)
Go for it, Mary Christine.
… there are other gods and the apostles were aware of this…
Que?
Just Odin and Thor.
Haha..yeah and no. More than that.
Mary Christine, the Old Testament does mention other Gods that Jesus himself was aware of. That’s why when the Israelites conquered earth-worshiping peoples, they were totally destroyed because they were the most dangerous. Anything on earth was a god, from rock to tree, and that caused the most problems and caused the old Gods to be reestablished among the people.
I saw the list of his pallbearers. Pretty much a who’s who of conservative giants. Warren Beatty, Michael Bloomberg, Gary Hart, Sheldon Whitehouse, Joe Biden, and Russ Feingold. I’ll probably never let the words John McCain cross my lips again. Turn the page. My country just became a better place
Sheldon Whitehouse (insider trading ex-Senator).
star,
is this a joke?
there’s not what i would call a decent person on the list–
No, that’s real. Makes you wonder huh?
“No Name”
Great for the ad revenue, Admin. Congrats.
I’m sure the liberal lunatics won’t be back, especially the ones that were too stupid to decipher the masthead of “The Burning Platform.”
But there were some visitors that seemed to have sense, so maybe they’ll stay.
I was wondering how many times people said the same thing about the TBP masthead.
Sitting here at the pool drying off before I go home and I was having some trouble getting TBP to pull up but not some other websites. Made me queasy for a minute. Maybe it’s all the new traffic.
Anyways here’s to you admin?
And here’s to you, Jimmy Q, lurkers love you more than you will know, whoa, whoa, whoa…
Please post that song. It’s going through my head now and I can’t quite place it, EC, you rat.
Is this the song you were thinking of?
And here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson
Jesus loves you more than you will know
Wo wo wo
Mrs. Robinson
Simon & Garfunkel
That’s the one, thanks Grog. Nods to EC who ignored my plea and let it go around in my head for a day with no relief.
It wasn’t on purpose, by the time I saw your comment yesterday, somebody had already posted it. How could anybody miss the title song to The Graduate? That movie was almost as big as Purple Rain. Shit I better post that song before MC complains to Stucky.
I would never complain to Stucky because he would ignore me like he does Maggie. Anyways, When Doves Cry is my favorite Prince song. but thanks for posting it so it didn’t keep me awake all night.
Well, actually, we exchanged a brief message… I told Stuck I would forego the comment on Catholicism because he really has a hard time with Ann, I suspect.
He said “when he could” and said “whenever” and if TSHTF and he shows up here to park his Beamer by the pond, we’ll have a cold one.
Meanwhile I’m not whimpering and whining. Just Moving ON.
My hubby just offered our place for a get together. I said ” Really? Do you know what you are gettin us into?” I think he might have had just one two many Rye whiskeys
It’s Leo Sayer.
OK, here’s the Simon & Garfunkle, love you more, whoa, whoa, whoa song. You choose. (Garfunkle was such a dork).
Lets hope the demise of George H.W. Bush does similar things for TBP. Wishfully, the next POS to maggotville. Next up Kissinger.
I’m hoping the demise of George H.W. Bush allows us to finally see the JFK files completely. I think they’re waiting fr him to die before disclosing (if ever), because he was definitely part of the plot. And he could still be prosecuted. Murder has no statute of limitations.
Congrats, Jim. You deserve it. Welcome newbies to one of the best sites on the net.
Bob, wish I could give you more than one thumbs up.
Hey, we have two thumbs, shouldn’t we get 2 votes?
Desperate for truth, people found themselves drawn to a light in the darkness, a flame of sorts just flickering with bits of wisdom and inexplicable monkey turds feeding the fires.
Truth, they cried out! We ask for asylum on your platform.
And the monkeys chattered amongst themselves, trying to decide if they could handle the additional thought flow. Finally, a big lumberjack-looking dude who is not stuck at all stood up, his frame towering over most.
“Truth is more important, you chattering pack of apes. Let them speak.”
Are you talking about Sensetti? He’s the only one that could make Stucky seem puny by comparison.
Why all the fucking outrage?
As a non leader in the Senate he was entitled to a flag at half staff on the day he died and the day after he died. As a veteran he wasn’t entitled to a flag at half staff at all. Why the do people think he’s any better than any other senator? And why the does anyone think he’s better than any other POW or any soldier that actually died in combat? There is a remembrance for a veteran. It’s called Veterans Day and the flags aren’t lowered. There is a remembrance day for soldiers who died in combat called Memorial Day, and the flag is lowered for a half day for that.
Thanks for the explanation, Dave. Never knew what the protocol was. I think his praise at death is being hyper-repulsive. Wonder how many people had to be paid off to sing his praises. Bet you won’t see any POWs praising him.
Here is a small insight on the real McCain, member in great standing at the Benedict Iscariot Club.
SamFox
Great find, Sam.

Thanks for the link. We need a few foxes around here.
LOL. Maggie, you crack me up.
Am in St. Louis awaiting wound care. Just happy to be alive.
Just in case there are any people still out there who don’t realize that John McCain was a lying, traitorous, Piece of Shit:
John McCain was evil.
From the get-go…. I watched some of those former POWs discuss how hard they had it once he became the songbird.
https://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2536159
Hmmm….,johnny dies and readership up(good job little tumor,RIP!).
The answer to increased readership seems simple, more johnny types need to die,so,ideas anyone?
Start tugging on the lodge membership strings to show the PUBLIC how cozy so many of the politicians and influential businessmen are with one another, collusion? Conspiracy? Religion?
Wouldn’t that be a scary thing for the occult, hidden, in plain sight.
Juan McCain, an immigrant born in the Canal Zone, finally does a good deed for his adopted country.
Unfortunately, his birth on a U.S base was declared as legal for running for POTUS. People actually challenged this. But a U.S. base is considered U.S.
Congratulations.
Congrats, Admin!
Soros’ turn can’t come soon enough.
According to this short video Ben Garrison put out today, it was this John McCain cartoon that got his website taken down!
It’s pretty bad when they start taking out entire websites.
It’s a shame no one read the full investigation JAG report on what really happened that day on the USS FORRESTAL .
A series of unfortunate events while attempting to be active on the combat line with faulty electrical control equipment between shipboard and aircraft safety controls for armed weapons systems . Cover up , maybe but not according to JAG .
Politics aside , he was shot down and tortured in his service to our nation . Like him or not may he Rest In Peace !
John McCain was not tortured. His fellow POWs were tortured. Why do you think his nickname by “Other POWs!” was songbird? Not to mention all the dead because of him. It’s a sad day when people praise John McCain. His father’s propaganda and coverups have worked well for now. Eventually, it will all come out in the wash. John McCain, I’m sure, will see hell.
Just to add, this the difference between the time when mainstream media owned the airwaves and today. Nobody could explore alternative facts in the past. You got whatever the Pentagon, War Department, or Foreign correspondents told you. Today, there are too many holes to plug for the truth not to seep out. That’s the beauty of free speech and the Internet.
What is truth? – Pilate
Truth isn’t truth. – Giuliani
If I can help spread truth just one more inch, I will do so. Especially on this one. You can’t possibly imagine how much I despise Shitstain and others of his ilk.
Dang…very cool Jim. Just think of the ad revenue when the Hildabeast kicks the bucket. !
“I’m quite looking forward to that eventuality,” as George Harrison said in “Hard Day’s Night.” Or should I use another another Harrison quote that things are just “grotti.”
He might have used the surfer expression grody to describe the filthy condition of hippies in the Haight.
From what I understand, Harrison went once, and never went back. It was all over at the end of 1968. We’ve been through that before in one of Stucky’s recent articles. You may want to look that up.
Sorry it took McStain dying to get you all the readers, but am glad they came.
I have been lurking around for a few months, and TBP is one of my daily stops. I do not always agree with the writers, but usually do, and if I don’t, it alway makes me think a bit. I do my part & send links to folks in the hopes they get hooked.
I absolutely adore the comment section here. I always read the comments on any site I visit, as I think it gives me a look inside the minds of the readers.
This one is brutal to those who make unsupported brash statements, and if I screw up, I know what’s coming!
This place feels like neighbors. I like all the contributors and most of the folks commenting, and it seems there is an abundance of a certain age group, of which I belong.
I was fortunate enough to have grown up in that tail end of a Norman Rockwell-esque era, and although I miss those times, I am certainly glad to be here, now.
Steven, welcome to the shitfest. We look forward to your future comments. Since you’ve been a lurker, you know what to expect, but I’m sure you’ll be a great contributor based on your comment above. Welcome aboard.
