Has the Day of the Nationalists Come?

Has the Day of the Nationalists Come?

“If one could identify a cry common to populists, it might be: “We want our country back!”

A week from today, Europeans may be able to gauge how high the tide of populism and nationalism has risen within their countries and on their continent.

For all the returns will be in from three days of elections in the 28 nations represented in the European Parliament.

Expectation: Nationalists and populists will turn in their strongest performance since the EU was established, and their parliamentary group — Europe of Nations and Freedom — could sweep a fourth of the seats in Strasbourg.

Nigel Farage’s new Brexit Party is predicted to run first in the British elections, winning two to three times the votes of the ruling Tory Party of Prime Minister Theresa May.

In France, Marine Le Pen’s National Rally is running even with the party of President Emmanuel Macron, who pleads for “more Europe.”

Matteo Salvini, interior minister and leader of the League, predicts his party will finish first in Italy and first in Europe.

At Salvini’s invitation, a dozen nationalist parties gathered in Milan this weekend. A week from now, they could be the third-largest bloc in the European Parliament. If so, their gains will come at the expense of the center-left and center-right parties that have dominated European politics since World War II.

Speaking before tens of thousands in front of Duomo Cathedral in Milan, Salvini threw back in the faces of his enemies the taunt that these new parties are rooted in the old ugly politics of the 1930s.

“In this piazza, there are no extremists. There are no racists. There are no fascists. … In Italy and in Europe, the difference is between … those who speak of the future instead of making trials of the past.”

Tomorrow versus yesterday, says Salvini.

While the European establishment draws parallels between the populist parties of the present and what happened in the 1930s, it fails to recognize its own indispensable role in generating the mass defections to the populist right that now imperil its political hegemony.

The populist-nationalist parties are energized and united by both what they detest and what the EU has produced.

And what is that?

They resent the inequities of the new economy, where the wages of the working and middle class, the core of the nation, have fallen far behind the managerial class and the corporate and financial elites.

People who work with their hands, tools and machines have seen their wages arrested and jobs disappear, as salaries have surged for those who move numbers on computers.

The disparities have grown too great, as has the distance between national capitals and national heartlands.

Then there is immigration. Native-born Europeans do not welcome the new ethnic groups that have come uninvited in considerable numbers in recent decades, failed to assimilate and created enclaves that replicate the Third World places whence they came.

If one could identify a cry common to populists, it might be: “We want our country back!”

Whatever may be said of populists and nationalists, they are people of the heart. They love their countries. They cherish the cultures in which they grew up. They want to retain their own unique national identities.

What is wrong with that?

Patriotism is central to nationalist and populist movements. Globalism is alien to them. They believe in De Gaulle’s Europe of nation-states “from the Atlantic to the Urals,” not in the abstract Europe of Jean Monnet, and surely not in the Brussels bureaucracy of today.

The nation, the patria, is the largest entity to which one can give loyalty and love. Who would march into no man’s land for the EU?

Europe’s nationalists are not all the same. The ruling Polish Law and Justice Party disagrees on Putin’s Russia with the ruling Fidesz Party of Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Hungary.

While the EU Parliament does not possess great power, these elections are not without great meaning.

Consider Farage. Should his Brexit Party run first in Britain, how can the Tory Party not carry through on the 2016 vote to withdraw from the EU, without betraying its most loyal constituency on its most critical issue?

Nationalism in Europe is spreading, even deepening rifts between the premier powers in the NATO alliance.

Germany will not be reaching the promised 2 percent of GDP for defense President Donald Trump has demanded. And Berlin is going ahead with a second natural gas pipeline under the Baltic Sea to Germany from Russia, Nord Stream 2.

Turkey is taking possession of a Russian-built S-400 air defense system this summer, despite a U.S. warning that our sale of 100 F-35s will not go through if the Turks go forward with the Russian system.

Have the nationalists of Europe caught the wave of the future?

Or will the future see the revival of the idea of One Europe, a political and economic union that inspired the dreamers of yesteryear?

From here it looks like Matteo, not Macron.

“We want our country back!”

Aw, poor nationalist expendables the world over . . . what you need to do is take your vaccines; eat your gmo’s; where available, drink and bathe in the fluoride; watch the 57,000 channels of waste on the programmo-vision; and learn the new ways of speaking, of self-degradation, and auto-enslavement to the tax farm in which you are imprisoned. We know that you love your native countries, homelands, fatherlands, motherlands, nations, and cultures, but WE are too busy building the Tower of Babel to waste time with your separate languages and distinct ways of thinking. Do yourselves a service and initiate your own re-education to the one language, one god-government, and put your hands to the stones, that we may build a tower to heaven, together. Or . . . die. Sola Europa! Sola Terra!

It’s all about power and who controls the masses. As far as the cold civil war we are in, the liberal elite are at their lowest point, having been exposed as third world coup plotters. Everyone from democrats (and some Republicans) to the news media to all the tech giants are running like cockroaches from the light of truth that’s coming out on a daily basis.

But this momentum won’t last forever, over the next year there will be other accusations against the president and love him or hate him, he is the standard that has been risen against the deep state and if he goes down, the momentum will swiftly shift to gun control, loss of free speech and global warming/climate change will really become “settled.”

If what I have said is true, if we will begin the downhill snowball of loss of advantage very soon, what can we do to to prevent this? Today, the elite are grasping at straws to try to salvage their tarnished reputation, but it will only take one “discovery of wrong doing,” whether it is true or not, to fill the sails of the vanquished, to brush the ugliness of the coup under the rug as old news and use the momentum to build a new world order; that doesn’t include you.

I can only ask the question, I don’t have an answer, but I will say if I have to wait for Trump to unveil what he knows by releasing the documents (if he ever will), time will become critical. Rising up after 2020 may be too late.

When he didn’t declassify well before the 2018 election I felt it was either a huge political blunder or the fix was in.

If he continues to pull the massive counter punches everyone knows he has…he is throwing the fight.

I hope the Nationalist candidates score half of the seats in the upcoming European Parliamentary elections and that they do everything within their power to destroy the Monster from the inside.

It will, however, require each country to do the hard work in restoring Order to their lands. It’s simple but not easy and is an act of National Will: taking control of and closing borders, expelling invaders, and imprisoning criminals particularly, the politicians who caused this catastrophe in the first place.

If Trump goes down or loses in 2020 it’s over for America. We will have civil war or it will be complete surrender and then genocide for traditional white Americans. I’m afraid even going to the Appalachian mountains will not save us . Maybe the northwest corner of America might work. Close to Canada. Americans are going to lose everything they /we have taken for granted. We deserve what’s coming .We have turned our backs on the founding documents of our nation but also the God of the Bible. We deserve his judgement. I am reading two books about the years following world war two and they will put the fear of God in you. Most Americans have no idea what war is and how long it takes to rebuild a nation. To go hungry ,to be without electricity and running water. To have nothing ,not even a roof over your head. To see hungry , starving people everywhere where you have no rights or anything else. Summer of 45 Germany and Japan The Harvest of Hate. The other one is Hellstorm : The death of Nazi Germany 1944 -1947 . One thing I have learned is Germany was forced into that War. So was Japan. Everything you thought you knew about history of those Wars are lies . Nothing but Damn lies. Germany had to be destroyed because they had taken back control of THEIR Banking system. That it.
Like Germany the Marxist / Communist are not going to give white people a choice . It either fight or genocide. They are not going to let us separate peacefully or do any kind of succession .

BINGO! I wonder which 2 countries in the 21st century have similarities with Germany and Japan prior to the declaration of WWII?

You’re not the first to think the Pacific NW might be a good place for us.

I don’t know much about these people, yet, but they are there.

It seems crazy to me that the pacific NW would be considered a good place. Unfortunately Demo-Commies once again push the agenda with Portland/Seattle. That areas is the hotbed for Demo-Commie authoritarian laws. I wouldn’t be too excited to be in an area that is pushing for gun control harder than just about anywhere.

But that area has the same problem upstate NY has, its ruled by a city and this new commie version of Demo politics. So you can live in rural NY state or the rustbelt region and have a life nothing close to what NY is, but they pass law after law. Eventually you will be able to be allowed to legally own your Joe Biden “best self-defense” weapon and over under shotgun. 2 Rounds, that’s it, b/c Joe said “that’s all you need”. Then they take that away b/c you misgender someone, or refer to the constitution which eventually will be deemed “hate speech”. The few Demo-Commie’s I used to know spoke down about the bill of rights years ago, Bill Maher lover types. I quit talking to my old college buddy b/c I couldn’t stand his politics, he worships Gov’t as his god, and he wants to help out all the idiots that don’t go along with the Demo-Commies.

I’m hoping to migrate to Western West Virginia, but the way the world is going that’s probably not going to happen. I don’t like the idea of having to move to have more freedom, but it seems that is the way its going if you live in a state with One mega city that can control the politics.

I guess that assumes all folks follow those laws, when no laws exist. PNW is survivable, thus, the Oregon Trail.

Those folks are situated mainly in Idaho and maybe Montana since those areas are considered part of the northwest. Considering the state of Washington, Moses Lake has great walleye and smallie fishing but a a six pack and a pack of smokes will run you twenty and their is a crap load of chinks

And here in the US, the same two worthless parties will continue to field candidates that support the status quo, support crony capitalism, support the warfare/welfare state, support the criminal banking cartel and the Federal Reserve, support the failed war on drugs, support massive government power over the economy, our lives, our property, and our incomes, and collude at every turn to ensure that no alternative to their oligarchy ever has a serious chance of gaining enough of a foothold to possibly restore freedom, a free market, or any of the positive changes that are critically needed.

Which is the “free country” again??
