What if someone you hated offered to pay off your mortgage or put your kids through college? You’d be suspicious at first, of course. Why is an enemy giving you the gift of a lifetime? But in the end, if you were smart, you’d take it. It would be too good to pass up.
Something very much like that happened in Washington, D.C., recently. The Trump administration debated moving some of the thousands of migrants now massing through our southern border into various self-proclaimed sanctuary cities across the United States.
Talk about great news for blue America. The left tells us that all immigration is good. More immigration is better. There is no distinction between legal and illegal varieties of immigration. If you disagree with any of this, you’re a white nationalist. That’s what they’ve said almost every day for the last two years.
And now, completely out of the blue, comes the man they despise most in the world, Donald J. Trump, offering them what they want more than anything: more immigrants, immediately, delivered right to their door at federal expense. It must have been like Christmas morning.
But that’s not how they responded. The left wasn’t happy about Trump’s offer. They were shocked and enraged. You know what this is, they said? It’s dumping. The headline on Mother Jones read, “Donald Trump Wanted to Dump Asylum Seekers on Streets of Democratic Cities.” In the view of The Daily Beast’s Harry Siegel, “The White House wanted to dump refugees in sanctuary cities.” He called that idea “nasty.” At the same time, almost simultaneously, both CNN and MSNBC ran headlines accusing the White House of wanting to “dump” migrants into cities.
What’s the message here? Immigrants are trash? If you wanted to defile someone’s pristine city, you’d “dump” immigrants on it? Hmm. That sounds a little … searching for the word here … racist — a lot racist, actually. But Nancy Pelosi agrees with it. She immediately issued a statement: “The extent of this administration’s cynicism and cruelty cannot be overstated. Using human beings — including little children — as pawns in their warped game to perpetuate fear and demonize immigrants is despicable.”
But that doesn’t really make sense. How can the presence of immigrants “perpetuate fear?” San Francisco is a sanctuary city. It subverted federal law in the hope more illegal immigrants would come. Now they may be coming, and San Francisco is upset.
Well, say the news anchors, Trump’s plan is illegal. There’s a process. Really? Did the people of Lewiston, Maine, or Hazleton, Pennsylvania — and countless other places across the country — take part in a process when massive groups of refugees were moved to their cities? But when you try to do that to the city where Pelosi lives, it’s supposedly “illegal.” This is getting confusing.
Let’s make it easier. Here’s a list of neighborhoods that could use some immediate refugee resettlement. These are affluent places. They are politically liberal. As a matter of policy and conviction, they love illegal immigrants; they just don’t really have any yet. Let’s change that.
First would be Beacon Hill in Boston. The neighborhood has a median income of over $120,000 a year. It’s not very diverse, so it could be greatly strengthened by thousands of migrants. As John Kerry, who lives in Beacon Hill, warned in 2017: “Fear of the outsider, fear of someone who isn’t you, fear of someone that doesn’t look like you is an attack on America itself.” OK. Let’s send half of the next migrant caravan to Kerry’s ZIP code. He’ll be thrilled.
Next, we’ll head to the Upper East Side of New York. Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg lives there. He loves poor immigrants. Unfortunately for him, virtually none actually live in his neighborhood. Let’s change that.
Finally, we’ll go to the Kalorama neighborhood here in Washington. Barack Obama lives there. As he once put it: “We are a nation of immigrants. It has always given America a big advantage over other nations.” That may be true. Yet there are virtually no poor immigrants in Kalorama.
Sure seems like nobody hates diversity more than rich liberals — the very people pushing it. Let’s hope immigrants are watching all this. The left can say they love you, but if they don’t want you in their neighborhood or at school with their children, they’re lying.

Let’s see for a second: Before mid-term elections which swung power over to dems in the house, Trump had funding for a Wall included twice. Each time the government was shut down to fight him ( the second time it was shut down for 40+ days and neared the point of no SSI checks for the elderly or VA payments.) Without a united Repub party the budget failed.
Now with Dems in control ( House) he has no chance of a budget including wall funding. What to do? Well a clever move was allocating funds from military to begin the first 80 miles…but what to do with the masses that our system does not allow us to shoot or throw in the Rio?
Again, a clever move. If we can’t get rid of them, send them to already blue areas–let the Leftists demonstrate their hypocrisy, bankrupt those socialist states/cities and also keep them from trickling into conservative areas where they turn them into “swing states.”

You want closed borders and to take care of your own, that sounds more like tribalism. You can’t have tribalism and Free Market Capitalism (which is only a close cousin of Communism/Socialism).

Open borders and free markets are good for the ones in charge, not for us. Free market also means shopping around for labor. Those who consume the most are also the most expensive. The powers that be are just shopping around.

Although pieces like this cater to a sense of Schadenfreude (especially where the well-heeled hypocrites roam), what the hell is going on in this country when the occupant of the Oval Office, regardless of party affiliation, doesn’t STOP the mass invasion of this country? Does anyone believe these invaders will stay in whatever initial place of residency into which they’re resettled? Gee, if given the chance, they move! The end up in big cities, small towns and everywhere in between – wherever there’s a small or large “businessman” who wants free or cheap labor. With only 11 employer prosecutions in 2018, can we expect the Trump DOJ to seriously go after employers? Case worth noting: Yarrabee Farms, Republicon donors, employed illegals for decades. They’ve still not been raided by ICE, fined or prosecuted as accessories to murder in the case of Mollie Tibbetts! Republicon, schmepublicon.
Donald Trump will lose re-election for this reason, and this reason alone. He orchestrated this fiasco, either intentionally or via gross incompetence, when he chose to shut down the government, then capitulated to an Omnibus which was stuffed with items like no money for detention centers, no money to hire more Border Patrol agents and barring him from detaining anyone claiming asylum indefinitely. He was warned by any number of immigration experts and signed the crap bill anyway. He is the author of chaos, and that is the only thing he is capable of writing.
I have my own issues with Trump but I can’t blame him for 90% of this immigration mess. He doesn’t have authority to write law or repeal existing ones.
Also, if he hadn’t eventually agreed to the bill he did– the Dems would have left the government shut down indefinitely. The Dems don’t care about Americans ( or immigrants), only about the game/power. We would have long ago had our cities burning and people dying en mass. We were just a few weeks away from no checks or SNAP for the 47% of households that receive some form of govt check every month.
The choice was clear– sign the crappy bill that was passed by the House and Senate or allow it all to just burn……….

The states themselves are allowed to send the National Guard to repel an invasion. The border states should do just that and actually give them bullets so they can shoot those trying to come in because they’re breaking the law. Plenty of police kill for not following their “commands,” so there you have it, reason enough.
Edit: I know that sounds cruel, but once some bullets start flying, I bet you’ll see a massive slowdown on illegal immigrants trying to cross the border. Problem almost solved.

It’s a sad state of affairs that lots of folks feel like they have to move/flee in their own country. Alot of areas that used to be truly moderate Democratic back in the 80’s and 90’s are suffering now under the new Demo-Communists. It wasn’t all that long ago that some Dems had good NRA ratings, and didn’t believe in abortion and trumpeted capitalism–despite its flaws. Now its socialism and communism, kill babies at 9 months b/c of mental distress of the mother. All guns are bad except the ones protecting them or that they can lord over you is the new Demo-Commie mantra.
It’s hard to imagine how much more extreme they can get? They already talk like they work for illegal immigrants and that citizenship means less than nothing, crime, culture and services all going in the shitter and Demo commies call that progress. What’s next Lemon laws for babies, you have 30 days after birth to decide if you want to keep the kid, if not you can turn them in to be murdered, I mean super late term aborted? At this point nothing would surprise me. Where would moving west be to? Commies control the west coast basically and a bunch of big cities in middle america. But out of all the immigrants the Somali’s have got to be the worst, extreme non-assimation. Alot of hispanics have assimilated to some degree at least and their culture tends not to be as extreme as Somalia and their version of strongman, Muslim extremism. But its got to piss everyone off that moving is the only thing that feels reasonable, but if they keep get dumped everywhere, where else do you move? It may help in the short run, but in the long run moving isn’t going to help unless our country breaks up somehow and the fake Republicans and Dems are in a different country then us.

I hate diversity with a passion. I am finding out it’s the one thing I have in common with black people. They hate diversity as much as I do. I have talked about it with several blacks , maybe 5or 6 so not very many but they have told me blacks are very unhappy about this.
