On another TBP post about London’s murder rate per 100K, I researched the worst cities in the US. Guess who is #1 based on DOJ data, yep, good ol’ Baltimore.

I seem to remember an old news item (local paper headline was CITIES GET BUM RAP FOR VIOLENCE) that cited the late 13th century murder rate in London somewhere around 129 per 100,000.

You knew the DemonScats would instantly call Trump’s commentary on Cummings and Baltimore’s issues “racisss”.
Nonsense.
The only thing racist is the corrupt garbage bin that has befallen not only Democrat-run cities but specifically Democrat districts in this case.
Cummings district has a violent crime rate some ten times the national average. But his district is not alone. Have a look at Hey Jackass and you’ll see some truly disturbing facts on Chicago. There’s a town that has a homicide clearance rate (that is, percentage of fatal shootings for which someone got caught this year of nine percent. You literally have a 90% chance of getting away with shooting someone in Chicago.
In addition among those shootings where we know the race of the assailant just 5% — a literal one — was white. 15 were black and 4 Hispanic. Yet the city has an approximate 32% white population with the same, roughly, being black and about 28% Hispanic. In other words both black and Hispanic people are ridiculously over-represented when it comes to both shooting victims and perpetrators.
That’s not racist, it’s factual.
Similar statistics are in play in Baltimore.
But of course DemonScats and Baltimore officials “trumpet” how Cummings is a “hero.” This is the same Baltimore who had a Mayor that resigned over a self-dealing (in other words, corrupt) scandal earlier this year from which she made an alleged eight hundred thousand dollars.
Not that she was a newcomer to politics either — she was a State Senator before running for Mayor. So don’t give me any crap about this being some “lack of judgment” which was fleeting in a new office-holder; any such excuse is a flat lie.
And Baltimore is a rat and rodent-infested mess. Never mind a recent investigative report in which an entire block was apparently taking water service from a fire hydrant. How the hell does that go on for more than an hour or so before a city cop sees it and the fire department and code people show up? The danger to the public of tampering with fire connections like that is quite severe; what else is being overlooked? Maybe a few illegal natural gas taps to go with the water? How many screwdrivers are in place across the contacts of disconnected electric meter boxes?
Baltimore, and the rest of our Democrat-controlled cities, have become corrupt cesspools with people literally ****ting on the streets. The last time I had the ignobility of driving through Chicago there was a tent city of “homeless” people right on the Dan Ryan expressway a couple of blocks from downtown! I lived in and around Chicago for more than a decade and never saw anything like that. Oh, there were homeless people on Lower Wacker drive, especially in the winter when they were trying to hide from the cold (building mechanical room vents provided at least some heat compared with the frozen outside temps) but that sort of concentration simply didn’t exist.
Why do the people of this nation tolerate that sort of corrupt government? More to the point is that if this is the sort of corruption and waste of money that the people of Baltimore both accept and cheer on rather than ejecting that ******* from office then **** THEM; they’re getting exactly what they demand and support.
You can’t say stuff like that and still be Miss Minnesota.
Cummings and the rest of the Dems know this simple truth – there is no city or country on earth with a majority black population that is not a total shithole.
They know there is no fixing that issue. Not all blacks are stupid. Waters, Cummings, etc., know the facts of it, and they know there is no answer. All they have is to cry racism, and to keep sending in the government handouts to feed the feral animals of their districts.

For laughs: an acquaintance who is manager of a business that hired illegals claimed that only “1 in a thousand” break the law. I doubt he realized that his fantasy equates to 1/10th of 1 percent. Then again, he goes to great lengths to claim he is a Proud Democrat.
His claim is incorrect. Every illegal immigrant he hired broke the immigration laws of the untied States. So he in essence the illegal immigrants he hired were 100% criminals.

Your comment alludes to the actual cause of, and the solution to, the problem. Blacks aren’t the brightest people in the world (I think I have heard about average IQ of 85 for American blacks, even lower for Sub-Saharan African blacks) but they can still function well enough to live fairly normal, low-crime lives if they have no other choice. Prior to the era of civil rights laws and massive increase in welfare benefits in the mid ‘60s, blacks had, as you say, “a vibrant black middle class”. They also had a level of unwed mothers and crime rates that were approximately the same as that of whites. But then the government (LBJ’s “Great Society” – what a joke) started enticing them with additional money to have more babies, and even more money if there was no husband in the household, so guess what? That’s exactly what happened. Lots of children with no fathers for role models, no jobs to keep them occupied since they could get money without working.
The obvious solution to the problem is to get rid of ALL welfare, Section 8 housing, food stamps – everything. The little bit of welfare that was truly necessary could be easily handled by private charities. But that obviously isn’t going to happen. There aren’t even any Republican politicians (including Trump) that would dare suggest that. So the bottom line is that the problem is going to continue, and probably even keep getting worse, until the great crash happens (Fourth Turning). When we rebuild after the crash that will be our opportunity to fix the problem.
Trump is a fucking genius at times. He somehow has gotten the Democrats and the media now arguing that Baltimore is a fine place to live.

I see the same shit as I travel to these shitholes for work: Ecorse (MI), Michoud (N’Awlins), East St. Louis, Gary (IN), Toledo, Indy, to name the worst. Gary was pre Federal Reserve at the turn of the 1900’s. My great great uncle was an engineer at US Steel in Joliet Illinois and they wanted a green field site to build another steel plant. He was sent from Joliet to an Indiana corn field and platted out the mill and the company town to go with it. Seemed like a good idea at the time. LOL!
Decades later Nucor Steel built their first mini-mill (electric arc furnace with scrap metal as feedstock) in a Crawfordsville, Indiana corn field. Plant is efficient and both the employees and their company profit nicely. See “American Steel” by Richard Preston for an informative and entertaining read about something that went right for America.
I’ve been there too, 312 K. The mini mill is south-east-ish of town. I’ve worked on both #1 and #2 EAFs there. They’ll shake your soul when the full 16o MW are running through the scrap. Really cool in the winter when they drop snow/ice laden scrap steel into the 40 tons heel in the furnace. Nucor’s mini mills there and in Blytheville and Fairfield, AL will be one of the few sites making, or rather re-making steel in the future. Arcelor Mittal in Burn Harbor is building 2 new walking beam furnaces. Indiana Harbor is due to be closed. Blast furnaces to BOFs are fading, sadly.
I just looked at NUE’s website and see they have a training academy in Tuscaloosa where kids get a solid tech training with good benefits as a student plus guaranteed job with no student debt.
From the book mentioned above: when Crawfordsville first turned on it caused a massive brownout all over Indiana. That whole project was pretty much flying by the seat of their pants as a lot of what they were doing had not been done before. It is refreshing to see at least one American company combining their smarts and their grit to be successful. A can-do attitude for sure.
Those were good days in the “Region”…as its called. Sad all those factories closed or downsized…I blame the unions, parasites killed the host.

I think that the efficiency of the scrap-EAF-casting mini mills is outpacing the ore-blast furnace-BOF-Reheat furnaces/casting. Nucor, which specializes in these mini mills, along with SDI, are going to be better positioned in the future. US Steel and Arcelor Mittal are poised to have more troubles with the ore-type, old school production of steel. Especially with the parasites at USW, IBEW, Mill Wrights, Pipe Fitter, &c. Tis rather interesting supervising their crews…

I have a bit of a problem blaming Cummings for the issue. It only reinforces the belief that it is the responsibility of Congress to take care of issues that CLEARLY (and Constitutionally) should be handled by local or state authorities. It would be more helpful if Trump would point to all the federal programs, laws, mandates, etc. that Mr. Cummings supports that have contributed and are contributing to the problem, but I doubt that Trump fully understands the connections between federal action and the destruction of our nation (at least his own words or actions don’t seem to bear out anything different).
But obviously anyone telling the REAL truth would get skewered by the media and others….but isn’t that why Trump got elected…..to expose the truth of it all?
