30 People Shot, 2 Dead As Block Party In Baltimore Turns Into ‘War Zone’

Thirty people were injured, two fatally, during an overnight mass shooting at a block party in southern Baltimore City. The shooting is no surprise considering Democrat city leadership has failed to enforce law and order. The out-of-control crime is so bad that notable trading desks in the Inner Harbor area have told us they’re actively seeking to relocate because of violent crime.

Officers received 911 calls around 12:35 a.m., acting Baltimore police commissioner Richard Worley said during a news conference. The mass shooting occurred at 800 Gretna Court in the Brooklyn neighborhood. When police arrived at the incident area, Worley said “multiple victims” were found with gunshot wounds.

Downtown Baltimore is plagued with shootings, carjackings, muggings, and out-of-control packs of teenagers wreaking havoc. Baltimore residents can thank five decades of Democrat politicians for mismanaging this once-thriving town.

Earlier this month, the Inner Harbor district was overrun by hundreds of teenagers that resembled an apocalyptic scene from a Hollywood or Netflix movie. The video below might provide some insight into why people are shunning the area, which caused a plunge in foot traffic, making it difficult for retail stores to survive.

Baltimore Mayor Calls For Citywide Curfew After All Hell Breaks Out

All hell broke out on Sunday night in Baltimore City’s Inner Harbor district when gunshots were heard, causing hundreds of spring break youngsters to scatter through the streets. The mayhem, captured on video, resembled an apocalyptic scene. As a result, Mayor Brandon Scott has proposed a citywide curfew for minors during the upcoming summer months.

Baltimore City Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said more than 200 “young people” went running after gunfire rang out just 50 feet from police officers, according to Fox Baltimore. A 14yo and a 16yo suffered gunshot wounds.

Donald Trump, Elijah Cummings, Maxine Waters and the Neoliberal Abandonment of America’s Industrial Cities

In a recent fit of pique, after having been attacked for weeks by U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) on various matters, including the treatment of illegal aliens at detention centers, President Donald Trump struck back. Cummings should pay attention to his own district and the conditions of the citizens who he is supposed to represent, Trump said. This exchange was followed by denouncements that President Trump is a racist. A similar situation occurred last year with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and the President.

Certainly Trump has a point. During the long terms in Congress of both Maxine Waters (in her 15th term), who has represented South Central Los Angeles since 1990, and Elijah Cummings (since 1996) in Baltimore, conditions in the areas they represent have gone from bad to absolutely wretched. Denying this fact is a complete waste of time.

Democrat Baltimore Mayor Confirms Trump’s Comments: “Oh My God, You Can Smell The Rats, Dead Animals”

Update: As the day progressed and the progressives pontificated as to just how racist the President’s remarks about Baltimore are, a viral video from September 2018 has awkwardly surfaced showing Democratic Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh decrying the state of parts of her city, specifically the smell of “rats” and “dead animals.”

As DailyWire.com’s Ryan Saavedra reports, Pugh made the remarks during a Fox 45 segment while touring a Baltimore neighborhood that was supposed to highlight her “violence-reduction initiative.”

“What the hell? We should just take all this sh*t down. … Whoa, you can smell the rats. … Whew, Jesus. … Oh, my God, you can smell the dead animals.”

So is Pugh racist too? (And we wonder how long before this clearly racist video is removed from Twitter).

Baltimore Mayor Bolts — Pugh Missing After FBI-IRS Raid

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh (D) has gone missing after the FBI and IRS raided her home, according to Baltimore CBS affiliate WJZ.

Jason Bentley, Pugh’s spokesman, told the Associated Press on Thursday that he has no clue where the Mayor is, while her defense attorney, Steve Silverman, routed calls to voicemail.

According to the report, “Pugh was at her home when the raid began, but has since left the state.”

​​​​​Federal agents leave City Hall in the investigation into Mayor Catherine Pugh’s business dealings. The mayor’s second floor offices are one of several locations raided on Thursday morning.
