“Armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.”
— James Madison

Says the man who knows, because he orchestrated the bringing of the many under the domination of the few using just those three things as the basis for his argument to impose a centralized, national government and do away with the Articles of Confederation.

1.”We” must have the power to tax!
— Why?
2. Because debts!
— From what?
3. Armies!

Rinse, repeat.
