HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IS SICKENING

Guest Post by Real Estate Pup

Medicine in the United States has ceased to be about the well-being of the patient and their relationship with their doctor, and now all about what pill-du-jour the pharmaceutical companies wish to be pushed on the patients.

Couple that with a complete lack of personal responsibility on the part of the patient, and voila! The current crisis of health here in the US.

“Healthcare” is the biggest misnomer, the biggest labeling lie out there. Make no mistake, what happens to you in the 15 minutes allotted to see your doctor is completely insignificant to your PPO or HMO. Your doctor, be he/she a general practitioner or specialist, is at the mercy of some set of codes and bureaucrats that decide what care you will or will not receive.

From my years in health care (Fallon HMO) I saw doctors that were once caring, compassionate people, now broken into harried, hurried cogs in a larger machine. It seemed to me that the only thing they were good for was whipping out the prescription pad and filling it out for the pills you “needed”.

We are a over-medicated society. End of story.

23% of women in the 40-50 age range take antidepressants

11 MILLION take some form of a statin drug (despite numerous new studies showing these are useless and actually harmful)

50 MILLION have high blood pressure, with 37 MILLION on drugs for this

32 MILLION have type 2 diabetes

Yes, we all get older, but the vast majority of health ailments are caused by lifestyle and diet choices. That’s right folks, THE CHOICES YOU MAKE AFFECT YOUR HEALTH.

I am pretty sure everyone who reads TBP knows this.

So why are fat people not told, point blank, the reason why you have high blood pressure and diabetes is because you eat crap food and do not exercise? Because there is literally no money to be made in intensive lifestyle therapy to change these behaviors. There is, however, billions to be made in giving out the pills or shots.

Why are pre- and menopausal women on antidepressants instead of counseling to adjust their diet and alcohol intake, to get to the root of their troubles? Because there is no money in that.

We are, from cradle to grave, nothing more that an ATM machine for pharmaceutical companies. From dangerous “vaccines” like gardasil given to 10 year old girls, adderall, nothing more than legal speed to “problematic boys”, to dangerous pain meds pawned off on the elderly for arthritis (Vioxx) it’s a never-ending “better living through science”.

Make no mistake. There are serious, genetic conditions that need real medical treatment. Type 1 diabetes, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Cystic Fibrosis, the list goes on and on. Grandma, who is 85, can truly benefit from some heart medication because she is old and her heart is weak.

But our medical practitioners have sold their souls to the Pharmaceutical Beelzebub and so here we are.

Humans are biological machines, organic in composition. We run on, and thrive on, clean water, clean food, clean air, and quality sleep. We are meant to love, and laugh, and cry. We stay healthy when we have all of these things in balance.

Chemicals cannot make a sick person well, they can only mask the symptoms and prolong the continued decline.

Now we are nothing more than numbers in a tally, a means to and end not only to the drug companies, but the politicians that view us as nothing more than pawns to be directed here and there as the greed and corruption so dictates. The Covid-19 scandal and masking of real treatments that can help real people speaks volumes of where the cold, black hearts of our leaders lie.

We are a nation taught to be helpless in all things, including our own health.

So, nay I say to more “doctors” who have been run through this sad sorry state of affairs we call Healthcare system.

Like all things that have rotted because of too much intervention, this is but one more thing.

The American public needs to take the reins of their lives back, in all things.

When that happens, the system will balance as needs will dictate supply.

As bad as the problems with the medical system are, the biggest problem by far is people in general refuse to take responsibility for their own health. So when they develop a problem, such as diabetes, they ask the system for help. Which is counter-productive, when they have the solution to begin with, which is to stop eating crap and exercise.

I recently became a vegetarian. If my memory serves me, a longtime Burning Platformer (is it Iska?) is one also and swears by it’s positive effect on health.

I’m going to try becoming vegan at some point as well.

Rumor has it that 7th Day Adventists, according to Loma Linda, live the 2nd longest life. 2nd only to some people living gone some island somewhere.

Ellen G. White is the health Queen of the 7th Day Adventist Church. She wrote a few books on health and they seem to ring true.

I call it the Healthcare Goolag Archipelago. They get you in and don’t want to let you out. They Island hop you from specialist to testing back to the Md then to another specialist. Pills here and pills there. I you have a reaction to a pill the give you another to compensate.
I was refused admission for heart failure because I refused to take the meds they were giving me because they made me sicker. I was kept on the slab in ER till I stabilized and let go. Now I just flat out lie when I have an attack or a bad Afib. As soon as I can leave I throw out the pils.
I still claim they gave my buddy Type II when he went to the er with meningitis. They dosed him with IV prednisone out the wazoo.
My opinion is now that Doctors are basically just glorified Pharmacists and not very good ones. My Cardiologists over the years act as if that’s the only organ I have and prescribe pills that can cause who knows what kind of damage to kidneys and livers.
There is a Naturopathic Dr. on you-tube who claims most diabetes are caused by a chromium deficiency. I have no idea who’s right but who’s to say he’s wrong.
Good article Pup.

No, don’t. I was mostly vegan but always vegetarian for nearly thirty years. Very healthy for most of that time then I met Mr. Stress when I was president of a public company and fought with the Board of Idiots. That got me congestive heart failure and afib. Now you can say it was stress and only stress that did the trick, but after a couple of years of taking pills as the cardios said to, I got off of them and started eating a balanced diet. My heart when sickest was the “size of a football” but reduced on its own with the new diet to the high side of normal. That ain’t supposed to happen. Now twenty-five years later I am still kicking and eating a mostly keto diet and no, absolutely no prescriptions, but lots of supplements of a very high quality (not the drug store kind).

You must understand that hunter gatherers had strong bones and muscles. When ag came in, the health of the people dropped dramatically as evidenced by the weaker bones paleontologists have dug up. More diseases also. We live longer today because of better sanitation mostly, along with drugs that may keep us alive but unhealthy just the same and not feeling well.

The Mediterranean diet is probably about as good as anything. Balance, no extremes. Take care of the gut with fermented foods and knock off sugar as completely as possible! Meat should come from animals treated well and fed their natural diet as with cows consuming grass not grains, which make them ill to the point of death at which point or just before actually, they are slaughtered and sold to suckers who don’t know any better. Keep your stress low, commune with nature, appreciate what you have, forgive everybody and let the memories go, who needs them! Eat right, walk, don’t drink liquor to excess, and so on. A sweet wife is good, too. Peace and quiet.

I am on that too BF. Most people do not understand that ancient man survived off berries, nuts and the animals they could kill. It wasn’t until ag came into existence that health of humans started to decline. Oats are good for horses but not people! A lot of people do not realize that the human body can’t digest corn very well. Corn sure does fill you up but has very little benefit other than keeping you from starving to death.

Oats and corn are not good for horses either, actually. They are considered a calories supplement to be used sparingly. Corn really fucks up the digestion of cattle, but they still gain weight from it.

I’m not a diabetic, my buddy is. My diet is excellent. I only eat naturally raised meat eggs and cheese and sprouts for salads. When I can get organic produce I do but it’s not readily available where I’m at.
My heart went south because I was unaware of the stress I was putting on it due to no lungs from chemicals I worked around. I have ping pong sized holes in both lungs where there used to be tissue. I always had great health so I took it for granted and when I started having lung problems I didn’t know what questions to ask and they never offered. I take the blame for that part. But I don’t take blame for their selling out to big pharma. The afib is hereditary. I’m the oldest lived male on either side of the family. The women live forever though.

For those dissatisfied by the performance of doctors in the system, look into Direct Primary Care (DPC). DPC docs are paid by patients and accountable to patients — only — not to insurance companies, not to hospitals, not to giant “health care” systems.

YouBoob has docs on there that know what’s up. Dr. Berg, Dr. Bergman, Ivor Cummins are extremely relevant.

Why can’t someone put together a cocktail of the drugs known to be effective against CV-19 (be damned the commie CDC and FDA): HCQ, Remdesivir, Ivomec, Quercetin, Zinc etc in the best dosages for humans and sell it over the counter. People coming down with CV-19 would be able to greatly increase their recovery rates and survival rates. It would be very helpful for the “Long Haulers” with lingering CV-19 complications who could try it for a week (a Clinical Trial) and maybe recover their strength, much like we used to treat the Malaria in GIs from WWII in the Pacific when I was a boy (and Vietnam later). We could buy Quinine in the little local grocery stores. If the US government was still worth a wooden nickle to Taxpaying Citizens, they’d do it like the treatments for that viral STD disease spread by body fluids that came from Africa, that killed so many liberals, and would kill or waste away many more if Taxpayers weren’t funding the treatments.

Indeed, the Health Care system in the U.S. is terminal. What is becoming apparent is that we must learn to doctor ourselves. We can take back control of our health and with a new paradigm of medicine we can learn how to prevent almost any disease from even occurring in the first place. Holistic medicine teaches us how to cultivate radiant health. That is the key. The current medical system simply deals with symptoms and not underlying causes. This must all change. The new psychobiotic revolution that deals with an understanding of the microbiome has overthrown the germ theory of disease. Epigenetics teaches us how we can affect our gene expression for better health. Dr. Grouchy et. al. are 30 years behind the true science of immunology. They see germs as our enemies when they are largely our friends and we need them to fight the truly dangerous pathogens. Dr’s Ornish, Greger, Fuhrman, Mercola, Esselstyn are on the cutting edge of the new movement in medicine toward prevention through life style changes. I also recommend the work of Sayer Ji.

Until such time as the “health care system” returns to being the practice of “Medicine”, Auntie is going to go back to the four (alcoholic) drinks and two packs a day of some Dunhill’s regimen as the over-the-counter treatments of choice.

“adderall, nothing more than legal speed ” I have a traumatic brain injury for which I am prescribed a similar drug. It is a quality of life saver. It improves my entire executive function and makes life both worth living and livable. It behaves nothing like speed for me.
