I’ve been retired for a while and sometimes I peg the day wrong also. I guess I’m a “fucking retard” too. Anyway, since I am retired I tend to look at every day as a holiday because I don’t have to go to work, when in reality, it’s more of a gift because I died on the OR table and was brought back.

Thanks for the kind thought. And sorry about the delayed response. I’ve been giving this some thought. I believe it comes down to how people view the world and their reaction to it. My anecdotal observations seem to bare out that conservatives tend to view the world as a comedy and just “shake it off”, and liberals view the world as a tragedy that they need to fix.
I think this also delineates both groups by their optimistic and pessimistic perspective about life in general.

I hate to say it but we’re all getting old, between my 89 year old father and 87 year old mother in law I’m not sometimes sure I want to hang around that long.
