Is the USA about to be cancelled? The nation’s irresolvable affairs festered in an ominous globe of silence through the weekend as the Potemkin inauguration of Joe Biden loomed just days ahead. With actual news scant, rumor frizzled through America’s neural network like political neuralgia, prompting little gleeps of pain in both the Red and Blue camps. Were those thirty-something-thousand troops in Washington DC posted to fend off an attack of white supremacists? What was that strange military aircraft traffic from Rome, Italy, to Oklahoma City about? How come Veep Mike Pence went to Fort Drum, home of the army’s fabled 10th Mountain Division, in wintry upstate New York?
The hypothetical Biden Administration is shaping up to be something like a four-year-long séance, a conjuring of apparitions wailing out talking points in a darkened room. The actual location of the inaugural event remains a mystery, or even if it will be an event, maybe just a pre-recorded video concoction of Mr. Biden’s greatest hits of 2020. Check and see if he’s wearing the same necktie from beginning to end. If a hologram is inaugurated, does that make the land-mass between Montauk and Santa Barbara a post-structural figment? The “president-elect,” made an ectoplasmic appearance Sunday talking up “science,” the Democrat’s mental life-preserver, and then shuffled offstage in an apparent fog of confusion as the Ritalin wore off. He’ll be great in the war room, I’m sure.
The mystery surrounding DNI John Ratcliffe’s long overdue report on foreign interference in the election cleared up only a little with the release of a letter sent January 8th to the Senate Intelligence Committee. In it, citing a side report from Intel Community Ombudsman Barry Zulauf, Mr. Ratcliffe refers to “undue pressure being brought to bear” on analysts by CIA management to craft their conclusions according to political loyalties. In other words, once again the CIA appears to be playing games with the American people and can’t be trusted. Isn’t that reassuring?
Meanwhile, The New York Times, CNN, and MSNBC have turned into a nonstop gloat-fest anticipating the punishments to be dished out by progressive Wokesterdom against anyone who ever entertained a thought about or uttered the phrase “stolen election.” They can kiss their livelihoods goodbye. Their college degrees will be revoked by such bastions of free thinking as Harvard. Their websites will be liquidated. Senators and congresspersons must be thrown out of their seats. They’ll be reduced to squatting on filthy blankets at the entrance of the Walmart begging for spare change, or hauled off to re-education camps where NPR lawyers with riding crops preside over their therapeutic struggle sessions, beating the wrongthink out of their hides. For Democrats, vengeance is a dish to be served piping hot. Would you like flies with your shit sandwich?
First up, the Dems promise, will be an executive order granting amnesty to an estimated 11-million illegal immigrants, along with Democratic Party registration cards, to buffer up the voter rolls for elections yet-to-come forever more, with a caravan of additional thousands from Honduras conveniently heading north to the US border just as the Biden “team” has announced they intend to ease the rules for claiming asylum. That will surely be welcome news to the millions of Americans whose jobs, livelihoods, and businesses have been destroyed by Covid-19 lockdowns.
And what of the fellow who remains president for hours now measured in mere double-digits? That’d be Mr. Trump. Is he simply moping around the Oval Office on a heap of My Pillows as the end nears, awaiting the punishments promised by every George Soros-backed DA in the land and their Lawfare allies inside the Beltway? That would be unlike the man. You could sure make the case that whoever is president after Wednesday noon is likely to drown under a world-beating tsunami of financial and economic woes. Why not just pass that old baton to holographic Joe? Let him flail and flounder in the foamy slop of radical discontinuity.
Well, for one reason, it would be less than patriotic to leave one’s country to a hologram, essentially leaderless, and in thrall to sinister forces with other than the national interest in mind, that is, the citizens’ interests. And yet, to do your duty while breaking the long chain of peaceable transitions from one party of good faith to the another is an awesome and fateful step into the unknown. But, if the election itself was a kind of coup, if once good faith has become bad faith, well, that sort of changes everything. How this melodrama turns depends on the information at hand. Does the president have it or not? Something is going to drop in the hours ahead. Will it be consequential? Will it correct anything that’s gone wrong? Or will it just drive the country closer to civil war?

I was working on a 90-year-old radio recently. These old radios are a tangle of wire, hand made, and are stuffed full of components that haven’t been manufactured in a lifetime. A restoration project on one of these is about as delicate as open-heart surgery.
I really wanted to save this old radio so I put a lot of effort into studying how it all worked and the expected consequences of this or that part failing. At this point in time, I could probably write a book about this radio as I had to intuitively get inside of it – I had to feel it.
As I was doing my final test, I saw wisps of smoke coming from the underside of the radio. Well, that radio is toast. I can pretend that it isn’t or that fiddling around would bring it back but I cooked it and I know enough from having studied it so thoroughly that the damage I did was going to be ever so difficult to troubleshoot and repair.
Kunstler is the same. He has seen the smoke and knows what it means but can not bring himself to believe what has occurred as he knows that the nation is cooked. He is praying for a miracle and can you blame him?

Once US oil production peaks again, other countries will turn into shale pincushions, and they will all become wealthier while our hundreds of millions of refugees drain us dry. Then the real fun begins.

Strangely enough, I suspect it will be Atlas Shrugged for the win. Yes, Atlas Shrugged is the dark horse of dystopian futures and, in my opinion, it has won that contest for the short term and won it hands down.
All the things planned by the traitors require a functioning infrastructure and economy and the last time I bothered to check, both of those were on their last legs. After all, every single corporation headquartered in the USA is quietly putting plans together to “deal” with the doubling of taxes and since wealth doesn’t recognize borders, it looks like we’ll see everyone but the tech companies flee at their soonest convenience.
It wont stop there. You may hate big oil but our entire transportation network runs on it. Attacking fosile fuels is like your right arm attacking your left arm. You look stupid while doing it and eventually you do not have working arms. After all, how are we supposed to build all those wind farms, solar panels and Teslas without oil? Anyone?
In Atlas Shrugged, the looters are proponents of high taxation, big labor, government ownership, government spending, government planning, regulation, and redistribution. Sound familiar? It does to me and I am of the opinion that the end will be the same – total infrastructure collapse and the breakup of the United States.

I have to disagree with you. TPTB have no understanding as to how anything actually works. With zero understanding of how anything works, how will they make the correct decisions that will be needed? I do not disagree that decisions will be made but they will be of no use to anyone.
A working tractor can easily farm enough land to feed 100 people. A tractor with every one of its parts minus one feeds no one and is just a lawn ornament.
Those correct decisions by TPTB are only required when making major changes or building something new.
And you don’t need to be a free thinker to become a half-way capable mechanic. (That’s different for engineers.) That one missing piece on the tractor will be taken from the inventory, or produced by already existing US factories, or otherwise by China.
But you brought up infrastructure, so better examples for that would be the power grid or the internet in the US. But replacing broken down parts in those vast interconnected networks is still close to the tractor example, for the most cases. And about the handful of capable big-picture understanders needed to keep it running, TPTB can either find some brainwashed engineers that joyfully work for their totalitarian overlords, or buy out a few folks’ consciences.
But the latter doesn’t work large scale.
So it’s kind of like ‘eating the seed-corn’, with the small difference that the seed-corn will last for many years before it runs out – once again, all that’s if TPTB don’t want to deliberately speed up the collapse.
I just called my daughter to ask if she still had power since PG&E is shutting down power to 280,000 homes in her area because it is “windy”. PG&E could have put its resources into upgrading its delivery systems or in clearing out all the flammable debris that surrounds its delivery systems but it didn’t do that. Instead, the politicians demanded that PG&E spend billions building Tesla charging stations in a monumental waste nearly as epic as their train to nowhere that they couldn’t finish.
Speaking of trains, California, supposedly the 5th largest economy in the world, couldn’t manage to build a choo-choo train. All of the engineers in the world can not overcome bad governance. That is a fact.

If PG&E per Cal gov decides to “fix” lack of forest management by shutting down electrical power every time it gets more windy, than that is mostly a political decision, not necessarily an infrastructure one.

I have been wondering if some of the infrastructure might have a little help in decaying a bit faster. Those who know how to maintain it, also know its weaknesses.
When Rome fell, the ability to make concrete was lost for 1400. People could see with their own eyes that the Romans had somehow figured out how to make liquid stone but no one could figure out the recipe. Concrete was common and used throughout the Empire and all it took for it to be lost was the chaos of the 5th Century.

You make some excellent points, but consider that Atlas Shrugged is based on the premise that the rulers need/want humans for their own parasitic purposes; I am not so sure that they need us at all, anymore. In the last hundred years, THEY have bought the entire world – with “our” taxed dollars – and now that they own everything . . . they want us to be gone.
When the dust settles, they will continue to use the minerals that they have denigrated for generations, because they know that “peak oil” is a lie of their own making . . . there will just be billions fewer using what is “theirs”, and as a source of “dense” energy, nothing else compares. That is, “green energy” is a narrative that they produced and will abandon, because they have controlled the “truth” for generations.

Part of the problem for most people is their inability to conflate contradictory narratives- cognitive dissonance is frequently tossed around as a term to describe this phenomenon. Jim- like most Americans- still has a fondness for the America he grew up in, where people were mostly well-behaved, polite, hard-working, civic minded, patriotic, etc. Because of his ethnic/regional heritage (as a New York Jew) there has always been a feeling of being an outsider to what was clearly- at least during his formative years- a White, Christian nation. The problem now is that over time his message and worldview are so heavily influenced by that historic impression that he doesn’t really want to see it go even though he knows it is already gone. I think his reasons for overdoing it are a form of contrition for hating a world that deep down he actually loved.
He has become nostalgic for a world that is gone and that’s why he is clinging to these images of a High Noon/ Shane resolution to what has become a Hostel/Saw problem.
Trump doesn’t have to do anything; things will fall apart on their own. News just broke that the inauguration rehearsal was evacuate because of a nearby fire in a homeless encampment. Panic, everyone! We have become a nation of hysterics, jumping at our own shadows. (Natural News) Because of the increasing popularity of the Situation Update podcast, information came my way that lays out a path for justified optimism on what’s coming in the days ahead.
As I say in the podcast, “I now know what Lin Wood knows.” This statement does not in any way imply that Lin Wood is the source of this information, because he isn’t. It’s just that Lin Wood’s unfettered optimism now makes total sense to me.
As Scott Kesterson recently said in his Bards FM podcast, the DC military encampment is actually a holding facility for enemies of America, and it will soon host military tribunals.
Once that happens, the radical Left will engage in Chinese weapons-augmented kinetic attacks on the US Capitol. These are not attacks by Chinese troops, but rather by radicalized Leftists — long since radicalized by the left-wing media — wielding weapons which have been smuggled into the United States by the CCP. Those weapons include:
• Full-auto drop-in trigger upgrades for AR-15 and AK-47 rifles. (Some of these shipments have already been interdicted by Customs and Border Protection, as we have previously covered. See one press release from the CBP here.)
• RPGs (Rocket-Propelled Grenades, used by enemy forces to attack fortified positions or armored vehicles.)
• 60mm mortars, allowing attacking enemy forces to theoretically strike the Capitol Building or White House through indirect fire from range. These are known in the modern military as M224 mortars, which reportedly have a range of several thousand meters.
• Rifle suppressors, which allow more covert operations by enemy forces.
• Club-K concealed rockets and missile systems, hidden on standard shipping containers and boasting ranges of a few miles to 100+ miles, depending on the weapon.
In today’s Situation Update, I warn that if these missile systems are deployed, their most likely targets will be US power grid infrastructure and military installations. China may even attempt to detonate an EMP weapon over North America to take down the national power grid. Just in case this happens, be prepared to survive in a grid-down scenario (and pray it doesn’t happen).
As early as 2016, China was showing off its “Club-K” shipping container missile and rocket systems, which conceal remotely fired weapons in standard 40 ft. shipping containers:
These systems, which receive targeting and activation commands via satellite, may also be deployed from the surface containers of large shipping vessels, launching from several hundred miles offshore:
According to scattered sources who are emailing eyewitness reports from across America, many shipping containers are mysteriously appearing in locations across America where they previously were never seen. Note that these missile systems can be fired from containers sitting in parking lots, or still attached to transport trucks or rail systems.
This may explain why Patriot missile batteries are reportedly being spotted in Georgia and Tennessee, and Patriot missiles are now widely known to be deployed in the DC area.
Patriot missiles are ground-to-air defensive missile systems. They are deployed when the military anticipates incoming missiles or aircraft-based attacks.

National Guard units from MS, AR, AK, TN and other states, other than the states that surround D.C., can only be activated and ordered to D.C. by the President.
Sure the Mayor of D.C. can request NG units from Maryland, Virginia and Delaware and that request was certainly made and those governors most likely fulfilled them. But once the NG units are not in their respective states the governor is removed from the chain of command and is replaced by the President. The mayor of D.C. can’t be added to the chain of command because the position of mayor is not listed in any law, document or manual used by the UCMJ.
So, it makes you wonder just exactly what is Trump doing?

Yea, the architect gave me some funny looks, but I put some unique defensive, prepper features into it. Built a root cellar next to the basement, as long as I have power and grow lights, will be able to grow veggies inside all winter. Heavy foam insulation throughout, that stuff is amazing.
There are so many unconnected incidents and moves being made internationally I don’t know what to think. All my hand helds are charged…all the preps topped off…getting my various fighting kits ready.
Made my wife stay home from her job today…maybe tomorrow as well…EMP has always been my biggest worry…instant chaos desperate people everywhere. That would take care of the culling the Luciferians want in short order. Who deeds slow death and infertility through the jab?

You should have went with Rock Wool insulation (foam will burn). It is made from Basalt and has a melting point well above what a propane torch can ignite. It is also waterproof (if it gets wet the water just rolls off, therefore the insulation will not absorb it & it will not collapse like fiberglass and a it is also a sound barrier.
If all goes well, I plan on refurbing my studio walls and ceiling insulation with the stuff so I can play my guitars and not f’n disturb anyone in the house or my neighbors. The only weak point would be the hollow core door between the studio and the house. I might replace that with one that has been injected with foam.
