Scientists Are Now Growing Human-Monkey Chimeric Embryos

Via ZeroHedge

In a move that is undoubtedly going to raise all sorts of ethical and scientific questions, scientists have now successfully grown human-monkey chimeric embryos for up to 20 days. The international team of scientists was led by gene expression expert Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte from the Salk Institute in California, according to RT.

Along with his team, he “implanted human stem cells into primate embryos which then grew for up to up to 20 days.”

While the experiment toes many ethical lines, the potential benefits of helping humans understand evolution and biology seem to have outweighed the negatives – for the time being, at least.

Belmonte said: “As we are unable to conduct certain types of experiments in humans, it is essential that we have better models to more accurately study and understand human biology and disease. An important goal of experimental biology is the development of model systems that allow for the study of human diseases under in vivo conditions.”

The monkey embryos were injected with human stem cells 6 days after they were created, which can “yield multiple different types of tissue, both embryonic and non- or extra-embryonic tissues,” the report notes.

The human cells were still found in 132 chimera embryos 24 hours after implantation. 109 embryos continued to develop after 9 days. After day 19, only 3 embryos remained. After 20 days, all of the embryos had been destroyed.

Researchers were able to examine the resultant embryos to determine “which communication pathways between the monkey and human cells were viable in the generation of future chimeras and which were not.”

The team said it gave the “utmost attention to ethical considerations… by coordinating closely with regulatory agencies” during their research.

Technology developed by Weizhi Ji and his team at Kunming University of Science and Technology in Yunnan, China has made the attempts at chimeras – which have been ongoing since the 1970’s – possible.

Why would the Chinese did this when they have plenty human ones? Is it because the Chinese are getting too smart?

Just another story to make people think that something is being done with all that stolen money.

If you read it with even a hint of skepticism rather than their bloviating hubris it should read “scientists destroyed multiple viable primate embryos by injecting foreign cells into them. Even the hardiest embryos died after 20 days.”

I disagree with ya. Or, maybe I just misunderstand what you’re saying.

I’ll try to be more succinct.

I do not believe any of these claims. I think they are the modern equivalent of medieval alchemists claiming to turn lead into gold.

It’s all bullshit. All the patents- issued by a thoroughly corrupted government for things no one in one of those departments could possibly understand- are just official imprimaturs used to convince the rubes that these things are genuine. It is the very framework of their narrative, that we are progressing towards a utopian singularity rather than reverting to the garden variety barbarism that the human species is most typically found.

We live in a the middle of the greatest ongoing criminal operation in the history of mankind, nothing but lies, theft and corruption from top to bottom. Every story they tell is completely fabricated and none of their claims are based on any type of reality.

Of course so many people are so deeply invested in keeping this thing going that any time someone points out what should be obvious to a child they’ll promptly jump in with some anecdote about their Aunt Shontoya who personally wrote the code for the Apollo 11 mission.

Once you accept that virtually nothing that the apparatus of the State declares is truthful, the whole Potemkin Village of modern perception disappears.

Well, I understood what you said the first time, I just don’t understand your rationale. Still.

We both know the existence of hybrid animals, mules and hinnies abound and are commonly seen. As with hybrid fish like wipers. I have seen a zebroid thirty yrs. ago on a 4000 acre privately held game preserve….(some of the ranches around here are measured in square miles). I’ve listened to conversations re’ gmo seeds/grasses….just regular small after the meal was served……

Each of these cited hybrids live because they are ” after their kind” so to speak. It seems a very small stretch for me to accept there are those who would attempt to circumvent God’s order of creation by ….but that’s just me.

“There’s more to this ole’ world than what meets the eye” is something my dad said to me on any number of occasions. It has served me well.

Should I draw a conclusion from what you have said, that the ‘unanswered’ inspiration for such remnants around the world are based on hallucinogenic lies?

I tend to agree.
Over the last 25 years or so, I’ve done a lot of reading regarding the hypothesis that there was a previous (pre-Flood) Highly Technological Civilization on the planet. A myriad of writers, most notably Lloyd Pye and Zecharia Sitchin, posit that “It Was the Annunaki Aliens from Nibiru” who altered the DNA of a proto-human species as a Slave Race, similar to what MC said in an earlier reply.
However: None of them have been able to reconcile the fact that, at least with the gene-splicing technology that we’ve thus far developed, we’re unable to bridge the gap that exists between Homo Sapiens Sapiens with 46 chromosomes and the 48 chromosomes of our “Closest Relative”, the Chimpanzee. They say that there’s only a 1.5%-3% difference between us, but that 2 chromosome difference makes it impossible for a hybrid zygote to form, let alone survive even a matter of hours.
I suppose that those who believe the “Alien Theory” can just say that we haven’t figured it out yet, but I’m personally loathe to ascribe to Aliens that which Man is capable of doing. (i.e.- a highly Technological Civilization in pre-history) After all, the first Homo Sapien is estimated to be between 60,000-100,000 years old. If he were dressed in modern clothing, you could pass him on the street without knowing it. He was as “Intelligent”, (or willfully Ignorant), as anyone today, so the idea that Mankind took a minimum of 55,000 years to come up with “Civilization”, and less than 200 years to develop the Atom Bomb and Microwave is intellectual laziness in the Extreme.
In any event, I can’t reconcile my smattering of knowledge with the idea that all of a sudden somebody has bridged that chromosome gap in the last year or so……

Safety Considerations When Working with Humanized Animals
Jason S Villano 1 , Susan E Vleck 2 , Stephen A Felt 3 , Daniel D Myers 1 4 , Patrick A Lester 1

Abstract

Research using laboratory animals has been revolutionized by the creation of humanized animal models, which are immunodeficient animals engrafted with human cells, tissues, or organs. These animal models provide the research community a unique and promising opportunity to mimic a wide variety of disease conditions in humans, from infectious disease to cancer. A vast majority of these models are humanized mice like those injected with human CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells and patient-derived xenografts. With this technology comes the need for the animal research enterprise to understand the inherent and potential risks, such as exposure to bloodborne pathogens, associated with the model development and research applications. Here, we review existing humanized animal models and provide recommendations for their safe use based on regulatory framework and literature. A risk assessment program-from handling the human material to its administration to animals and animal housing-is a necessary initial step in mitigating risks associated with the use of humanized animals in research. Ultimately, establishing institutional policies and guidelines to ensure personnel safety is a legal and ethical responsibility of the research institution as part of the occupational health and safety program and overall animal care and use program.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30541024/

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration requires all new medicines to be tested in animals before use in people. Pigs make better medical research subjects than mice, because they are closer to humans in size, physiology and genetic makeup.

In recent years, our team at Iowa State University has found a way to make pigs an even closer stand-in for humans. We have successfully transferred components of the human immune system into pigs that lack a functional immune system. This breakthrough has the potential to accelerate medical research in many areas, including virus and vaccine research, as well as cancer and stem cell therapeutics.

Humanized Mice
comment image

Stewart Little?

As drug development for cancer and autoimmune diseases continue, there is a growing demand for specialized mouse models with human immune systems. Super immunodeficient mice are often used for this purpose, as they have been shown to engraft human cells and tissues more efficiently than other models. These humanized mice permit transplantation of foreign tissues with an attenuated graft-versus-host response.

And, Oh… the possibilities!

Humanization of Custom Rabbit Models

A major bottleneck in researching human disease and developing new drugs is the lack of larger animal models that more accurately simulate human disease in the pre-clinical setting. The advantages of developing better models for human biology become clearer every day, especially including improved chances of translating research from animal model to human patient.

Along with mice and rats, ingenious is pleased to announce that we now offer custom rabbit models for your research, including rabbits with human sequences knocked into their genomes.

For what it is worth, the ethical issues surrounding Gain-of-Function Research have long pointed to a point of no return.

CUSTOM RABBIT MODELS!

comment image

Here are my latest customized rabbits. I bred a lionshead doe with a English Spotted buck and, by the way, the yard rabbit might have gotten to her as well, which explains the white rabbits.

I think I’ve managed to get a couple of local wild rabbits interested in yard rabbit. Also a couple of possums, so yard rabbit is in a cage.

If scientists could do it, they will do it. Probably already did.

Exactly what my husband said when I told him: The Island of Dr. Moreaux! Are they crazy?

I had the opportunity to talk with one of the scientists who worked on the human genome project and I asked him if he’d ever considered the moral issues of trying to map the human gene in order to clone it?

He very matter-of-factly told me scientists do not concern themselves with moral questions; those are for the politicians and the moralists. Unless scientists are told NOT TO by lawful authority, THEY WILL.

He was the head of the genetics department at the the University of Oklahoma. I think he was Dr. Charles Thompson, but not positive.

I was an older student out of my element (I took a 4000 level Genetics class with no real background. I managed an “A” because I can write a good essay.) I think he enjoyed the fact I didn’t need his endorsement for medical school. (Most of the people in the class were preparing for MCATs.)
