I was trying to comment on Dennis’s post, for some reason the website won’t let me. Regarding inflation, there is no actual supply and demand related inflation. It is just been profiteering on every sector of the economy. Some geek working at some hedge fund runs the numbers and comes up with genius profitability. Take a 4 by 4 that was ten bucks. Make it $25. They can lose half of their sales, and they’re still making a whole lot more money. No harvesting, no milling, no shipping, no storage. They can lay off lots of unneeded people. And the feds can give you lots of money to help you pay for it. And when people stop buying, they can drop the price to $15 and you will think it’s a bargain. This is what monopoly looks like. This is what oligarchy looks like. It’s not hyperinflation.

That stove is disgusting, much like the government. Would like to see a hand reaching for the pan’s handle, which is over the open flame, or an abandoned oven mitt dropped into the open flame. Otherwise, pretty much.
Yeah, I get the analogy and yet I’m looking at the state of the stove, have the urge to wipe up the egg and move the handle away from the flames and then scrub the burners. I also fret when someone in the movies turns on the water or puts something on the stove and then wanders off.
The stove is easy to clean, but the government will be filthy dirty forever
You dig a huge pit, bulldoze the house, bury it in the hole, and go find a new place to live near a nice lake and never consider raising up another government again.
I had a difficult time watching the Three Stooges because of the horrible mess they always made with buckets of paint and/or canisters of flour.
My husband would be laughing hysterically while I was wondering who was going to clean up all that mess.
