Sword & Shield

Guest Post by Freed Radical

Stand firm on this passage from God’s word as we do spiritual battle to recover and rebuild our nation and world, and defeat the evil that seeks to destroy us.

Psalm 33   (NASB)

20 Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart rejoices in Him,
Because we trust in His holy name.
22 Let Your lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us,
According as we have hoped in You.

Prayer:

Lord, I understand that you move in your own time, and you don’t share all the details of your plan with one such as myself. That’s okay because I trust you unconditionally. But while I wait, I pray you give us a rejoicing hope, knowing you are a loving and kind God to us, and you are on the job every second of every day. Let me not despair, but know that while I wait you are moving in other places, and my seeming delay is no delay at all, but part of your plan. My hope is well placed, and your power is wisely spent as you work out salvation for your children, present and future.

We engage in spiritual warfare by first consulting the scriptures to learn what God thinks about himself, about us, our situation, and his adversaries, and what he is doing today and is planning to do. We come into agreement with what God thinks, and his plan, and ask him to do battle on our behalf in the ways he has stated. These prayers are intended to change situations in our natural world, but they also change our hearts as we come to know the heart of God. As we pray together to defeat the forces of evil, we become a closer knit family of God, intent on accomplishing his purposes and living in Christian community. Please join in this spiritual battle by praying the scripture above, out loud, confident that God hears us and loves us, his children.

The prayer above is only a suggestion. Pray as you are led by the spirit. No need for eloquence as our Father simply loves to hear the voices of his children as we bare our hearts to him.

Take time to read this passage in context, to get the bigger picture, by clicking on the link at the beginning of the passage. The Christian life is not all about spiritual warfare, and there is always a bigger picture!

I loved this prayer in particular, because it’s comforting and gives me hope. I will share it with my 11 yr old granddaughter, who has suffered from “ complex regional pain syndrome” since last June. She was running in flip flops, stumbled, and her left foot slammed into a basketball pole. Nothing broken, but has had severe nerve pain ever since. She has a team of specialists and goes for physiotherapy. It’s been awful to see her in pain every day…to the point of tears. So I will pray this with her and memorize it. She says all she wants for Christmas is her foot better.
Thanks FR…..I’m grateful for these postings.

6 Foods That Can Heal Damaged Nerves

Had nerve damage from an accident in my wrist to elbow areas. Took awhile, about two years, but it cleared up.
Food is medicine. Confuscious I believe.
God made these foods for a reason.

Thanks for the info, Ginger. Her appetite is non existent, except for sweets. I’m thinking the pain has something to do with it. I’ll try harder to give her salads and fruit.
I’m glad for you that your pain is healed.

Helen – i hope your granddaughter recovers. Juicing or blending allows the nutrients to quickly enter the body because very little digestion is required. Also, the fruity taste can neutralize the veggies. She can hold her nose while drinking it. Again, hope she recovers.

Juicing removes fiber. That can’t be good thing.

I use a Vitamix Pro to juice. For example, when I make lemonade in the summer I put the entire lemon in …peel and all. (I do remove the seeds.) It’s yummy!

I have a Blendtech blender. Yep. Throw in the entire fruit or vegetable and the result is delicious and nutritious. Some stomachs can’t handle the fiber of the whole food or even blended.

I did read your Balance of Nature post and agree 100%. Shysters gonna shyste. When I go home, that commercial plays and every one seems to look like they are knocking on death’s door, but they are praising this pill.

Don’t even get me started on Balance Of Nature!!!! Too late!

How in the fuck has the FDA not shut those putrid frauds down?? They claim their 6 puny ass pills — NOT EVEN ONE OUNCE OF POWDERED CRAP — gives you 10 servings of fruits and vegetables!!

Here are SINGLE servings of some veggies.

comment image

Now, multiply that by TEN!

What doofus dipshit actually believes you can get 10x that picture in THREE capsules???? (Three capsules daily for the fruits, and three for the veggies). Pure bullshit.

====

And I believe I forgot to mention this in the article. What is missing from their labels? Hmmm? What???

DAILY RECOMMENDED ALLOWANCES!

Why won’t they tell you how much Vitamin C, or any other vitamin is in their shit product?? Because there’s hardly any. Because anyone who can do basic math will realize they’re being SCREWED.

This is why ‘Murika is fucked. Scammers everywhere.

Well, thanks for ruining my evening.

GOOD NIGHT!! :):)

Jeez, I was joking.

I had a great night’s sleep. Had dreams about large breasted Amazonian hotties.

“Juicing or blending allows the nutrients to quickly enter the body because very little digestion is required. “

This is pure nonsense. Got any scientific research to prove this?

You believe that God created Adam and Eve, right? After creating fruit trees, why didn’t God also create a blender for them?

Ok, not that funny. Point is … our digestive system is designed to handle fiber and effectively extract nutrients from fruits and vegetables. Been that way for thousands of years.

Lastly, NOTHING (including pills and juicing) is better and healthier than, you know, actually EATING the fruit or vegetable.

Correct. God gave us whole foods. God also gave us teeth to chew those foods and deliver those nutrients to the body. I volunteered in a nursing home, not that it makes me an expert on anything. Many people in that nursing home had challenged teeth. The alternative nutrition delivery system was what? If you guessed blended fruits and vegetables, you guessed correctly. Protein was cut into teeny tiny bites, or Ensure or some other protein replacement substituted.

Thanks Leah and Stucky. I’ve wandered around lately pricing juicers. It a healthy way to get vitamins. I’ll have to investigate Vitamix Pro. I was trying to shop for presents, decided to treat myself recently to a Booster Juice. $8.50. Yikes. That got me thinking about a juicer for home. The ginger tasted *amazing*.

Warning. The Vitamix is pretty expensive … about $600. But, it ought to last the rest of your life. Made in ‘Murika!

I also have the optional grain container. The blades are reversed … they blow upward. This allows you to make flour from any grain or nut. I use it a lot to make almond flour …. at half the price you pay in a store. Pays for itself eventually. About $150.

I have LOVED (and still do) peanut butter. Many PB’s from a store have salt or sugar. You can buy 100% peanut PB, but again, it’s expense. Haven’t you discovered that sometimes it tastes stale? Maybe it’s been in that jar for a year? Yikes.

You can make fresh homemade peanut butter with the regular blender … just add a minimum of 2 cups peanuts, and blend for two minutes. The PB will be warm cuz the blender blades rotate at 10,000rpm. Warm PB is awesome.

The Grain Container makes peanut flower. Never heard of recipes with peanut flower. Never saw peanut flour in a store. But, holy moly, check out the link below I just found. 21 peanut flower recipes! Some look fantastic. I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow.

Most store bought peanut butter contains hydrogenated oils — bad for heart & arteries. Probably GMO sugar also. Home ground is the way to go. I have a Champion juicer with attachments.

Helen, Stucky is right about the blender vs juicer. If you want to turn the blended goodness into a juice, you can strain it.

Here is a recipe that has turned scoffers into people who make it. One of those people were 12 at the time. I don’t do measurements. You can substitute berries. The chocolate is where it’s at. Disclaimer that I am not a doctor and of course if your granddaughter is allergic, do not attempt.

Handful of blueberries
Handful of cherries
Coconut water (really any water will do)
Handful or less of kale (it doesn’t change the taste much)
2 squares of chocolate. The sweeter the chocolate, the sweeter the taste
Ice makes it colder

Blend until your desired consistency.

Thanks Leah, I just have a cheap blender, but I aim to try that recipe. Stucky, there are a couple of places around here that make healthy peanut butter on the premises, and it is sooo good.

The motor on your cheap blender might not be strong enough to do the job.

Give it a shot. BUT, if you can hear the blender struggling to turn the blades … stop. Otherwise, you might burn out the motor.

Everyone is different, there is no one size fits all. For example my wife cannot have any juiced anything as you say it enters her body too quickly, and that is not good for her. She also can’t have any type of “flour” for the same reason, wheat or almond or anything. And Helen, sugar/corn syrup is death.

Where is the Christian called to rebuild a nation or the world? God will destroy the world. Jesus said Christians are not of the world just as He is not of the world. We are to use the Gospel so through it God will call people out of the world, as the Christian has been called out of the world. While patriotic, your mission statement is not that which Christ commanded and leads Christians away from the true mission.

“Where is the Christian called to rebuild a nation or the world? ”

They are not called to rebuild the world, they are called to expand God’s Kingdom. His kingdom is not of this world. Rebuilding the world is the meaning of Tikkun Olam, a Talmudic Jewish (Kazharian) objective. Great Reset, 6uild 6ack 6etter, etc.
