And if they do, only the Russian-speaking portions in the east and south.

If this happens, I would expect China to invade Taiwan.

A more pertinent inquiry….
Why does anyone care?
Russia is invading what was once part of Russia is news???
A better question is…
What does it take to get Americans out in the street, ready to invade DC???

Just like the blockade of Cuba in ’62, this is a show of force to stop NATO expansion. If the west continues to supply weapons, I would anticipate some surgical strikes against military installation, but not a cross border incursion.

If NATO expands, then you can expect Russia to react. Just like JFK, Putin is not bluffing with this one. He knows he could be in Kiev and Warsaw in a matter of hours/days just to protect his country. He also could freeze them out by cutting of the supply of natgas.

No…no need to under present circumstances. As long as NATO does not make Ukraine a member state. And as long as we do not attempt to install Nukes Russia will not invade. The real danger is that the Pentagon death star will create a false flag event to draw them into conflict.

Admin,
The Obama / Biden / Susan Rice team created the original Ukraine regime change to get a set up for the money laundering scheme going. Send cash off shore somewhere and collect commissions back to the organizers.
The video of Biden *on camera* telling the Ukraine stooges that if they did not do what he wanted to fire a prosecutor investigating Hunters crimes he would not send them the BILLION they were promised. Obviously they complied.
Well known that Hunter was on the payroll from a Ukraine gas company washing payments for his access to Joe, the “Big Guy” for his 10%. Commission kick back for the BILLION??

Now so far Biden is just sending arms and ammo there, cash transfers if occurring now, are unknown?

The Ukraine is once again the useful tool to tout the manufactured imaginary enemy of RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA for continuing profits of the arms and ammo sellers.

Russia has every right to be concerned about the western criminals infesting Ukraine and working from there to undermine their nation. They have every right to defend their borders and their sovereignty. How they will address that is unknown, but for sure the US/UK/Ukraine are busy putting together a false flag operation that will provoke action or justify western aggression.

And so too does Ukraine have every right to defend its sovereignty and its border security AND INTEGRITY. Everybody seems to have forgotten the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, to which Russia is a signatory and to which it violated in 2014 by invading eastern Ukraine.

Over the years NATO has been completely ringing Russia’s borders with NATO bases. Putin has been the diplomat over this time. At some point the niceties will stop. Just how many bases would we tolerate in Cuba and South America? How far can the US and NATO push before Putin has had enough? We’ll find out because the fools in DC want to know.
In the mean time Europe better hope Putin doesn’t decide to cut off the gas supply. It could be a chilly winter in Europe.

Yes. Dunbas is another region of Russian speaking people that also borders the Black Sea.

NATO has already thrown in the towel. Any response from Kiev and the Russian will sack Kiev and the price of unconditional surrender will be all of Eastern Ukraine. Russia will then return to Russia.

Yep, the Donbas is a region of ethnic Russians.

But, aside from that, there is nothing of real interest in the area to “win” in a war.

So, I vote “No” as I do not believe Putin to be stupid.

Bidenista’s are doubling down on their combined ongoing looting of Ukraine along with poking at the Bear in hopes of more war profits. Putin does not want to fight his own ethnic Russians in Ukraine. Propaganda here says nothing about how we’ve built up and armed up the place. There’s rumors that medium range missiles have been placed that can reach Moscow, it being only 300 miles from the UKR border. We’d be freaking if the Russians had missiles in Mexico. West will likely try a false flag to create a conflict. Putin, and crew, have been masterful at remaining strong while keeping the peace in the face of so much provocation.

My crystal ball is on the Fritz for the last few years. Why is it our business other than Joe’s pee-pee getting spanked over what’s, in reality, a reverse Cuban missile crisis? The mostly ethnic Russian people living in the area in question voted to leave Ukraine, returning to mother Russia during the coup in 2014.

What is called eastern Ukraine today was historically a part of Russia for quite a while even before the clusterfuck juggling of borders after WW1. This includes the Crimean peninsula where the naval base is. As I understand it, the Russians only added this section to Ukraine in the 50s for administrative purposes when the USSR was still one big happy family. Can you invade yourself?

NO!

1) First reason …. because our government says that Russia will invade! I think by now that 98% of TPBers realize that whatever claim this government makes, that the OPPOSITE is true.

2) Putin is no dummy. He knows that the USA!USA!USA! is trying to force a Russian invasion. Putin is too smart for that. Besides, why the fuck would he want to invade that first class corrupt shithole of a country??

—– Caveat. A serious enough false flag event … like, maybe some Ukie bastards setting off a dirty bomb in Moscow. Putin would have to do … something. But, even in that event, Russia could destroy Ukraine in a matter of weeks without a single Russian soldier setting foot in Ukraine. You only need foot soldiers when you want to OCCUPY and rule a nation. Putin and the Russian people have zero such desires. Russian missiles, Air Force, electronic and cyber warfare capabilities are immense.

3) The old saying applies … never interrupt an enemy when they are destroying themselves. All Vlad has to do is sit back, munch on some popcorn, and watch the soon to happen fall of Babylon.

If Biden pulls Putin’s finger the ensuing shitstorm will cover Ukraine like Joe’s dirty diaper covers his wrinkly old ass. Ukraine has nothing to gain and everything to lose. Russian will still let them pretend to be sovereign if they continue to play nice. They will.

Nope. Biden has the shit equivalent of the Midas touch. Everything he touches in the US turns to shit, so he’s trying to rub his shitty fingers into someone else’s business. Good on Ukraine to call him out. Sometimes I wonder if his handlers let him out by himself for their viewing enjoyment, knowing they can reign the mayhem back in.

Pete Hegseth of Fox News questions why Biden is worried about the borders of Ukraine & not those of the United States. The correct answer is that we should support secure borders for both countries & oppose Russian aggression.

Hegseth, a true patriot, served in the Middle East, and we thank him for his service. The difference between his wars and Ukraine is that the anti-communists running this former Soviet republic are not asking for American troops, only American arms. Why can’t we demand security for America and Ukraine? There is no reason we can’t do both.

As we demand security on our southern border, we should also affirm sovereignty for the U.S. and Ukraine while objecting to Russian aggression. Why is this position so difficult to understand and adopt?

We are not nation building in Ukraine. The country is already independent of Russia.

Some conservatives are frustrated that Biden won’t protect our own border and they take out their anger on Ukraine. Another factor is corruption in Ukraine and financial ties to the Biden family. But Russia is even worse. It supplied the dossier the Democrats used to investigate and impeach Trump.

Too much faulty logic is being displayed by personalities like Tucker Carlson that seems intended to benefit Russia and consign the fate of 40 million people to Vladimir Putin’s dreams of a new Russian empire.

What conservatives should be doing is drawing attention to how the Bill Clinton and Obama/Biden Administrations disarmed Ukraine, putting that country at the mercy of Russian aggression today.

Everything that is happening in Europe is the result of pro-Russian appeasement policies set in motion by Democratic presidents.

Under the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, the U.S., Great Britain and Russia all signed an agreement to GUARANTEE UKRAINE’S SOVEREIGNTY AND BORDER SECURITY IN EXCHANGE FOR UKRAINE GIVING UP 1900 — NINETEEN HUNDRED — NUCLEAR MISSILES, the world’s third-largest nuclear arsenal.

Clinton/Obama/Biden have created the conditions for the Russian attacks on Ukraine AND THAT’S A DAMNED HISTORICAL FACT. — Tobin Frost

Now, Biden postures as a friend of freedom, so-called “conservatives” like Tucker Carlson of Fox News act indifferent to the fate of Ukraine & seem willing to turn the country over to Russia, in effect adopting the old Biden position.

In the face of the Biden betrayals conservatives should not excuse Russian aggression. We should support border security for Ukraine and the United States. That’s the consistent and principled position. That’s the conservative position.

A country without borders is not a country. That applies to the U.S. and Ukraine.

Remember that an anti-communist revolution is still underway in Ukraine and that we need something like that here, in the United States. We have to support the people of Ukraine and encourage anti-Russian resistance.

Tucker Carlson isn’t the only prominent pro-Russia “conservative” indifferent to the fate of Ukraine. I just got an email message from Ilana Mercer, a contributor to the conservative Townhall, saying, “With central and eastern Europe being swallowed up progressively by the NATO alliance, Russia has legitimate security concerns. Abutting its border, Russia will soon have to endure all NATO members carrying out military maneuvers.”

Among other things, she seems ignorant of the fact that Russia is attempting to swallow up Ukraine, despite signing an agreement, the Budapest Memorandum, guaranteeing Ukraine’s independence.

This is the kind of pro-Russian disinformation conservatives are getting from the likes of Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon & others of their ilk.

We are faced today with the prospect of a Russian war on Ukraine that is made possible because the Obama/Biden Administration failed to provide Ukraine the weapons the country needed while draining financial resources away from a major Ukrainian gas company to the Biden family.

As president, Trump, under assault as an alleged Russian agent, demanded that Ukrainian authorities investigate the corruption that was making the country weak in the face of the Russian threat. For this, Trump was impeached. — Tobin Frost

As noted by Senator Tom Cotton, “For four years, Democrats maligned President Trump as weak on Russia. In reality, Mr. Trump put pressure on the Kremlin by killing the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, increasing NATO defense spending, and providing lethal aid to Ukraine, among other actions. This effectively deterred a renewed invasion or any big brinkmanship along the Ukrainian border. Mr. Biden’s feeble foreign policy has invited his aggression.”

As Cotton indicates, the situation has change dramatically under Biden. His family took money from Ukraine while failing to help the country defend itself — until it now seems too late.

To be sure, the use of American troops in Ukraine cannot be justified without Congressional approval, and there is no reason for Congress to approve such a deployment, with the U.S. Armed Forces in disarray over political correctness and unreasonable vaccine mandates.

Conservatives can oppose American troops in Ukraine while supporting the country’s independence and sovereignty. There is nothing contradictory in this position. It is the right thing to do.

What they should be worried about is Russia-China collaboration, at a time when the China virus continues to claim American lives, and seek ways to undermine both of these dangerous adversaries.

If we ignore the fate of Ukraine and sacrifice this country to Russia, we will be jeopardizing the future of freedom around the world. This surrender will send a strong message to other enemies as well. — Tobin Frost
