Battle fields scene in “Wizards” at age 6. Nazi goblins machine gunning down elves and trenches filled with blood. Was an animated movie but they colored over classic WW2 footage from the german side and added horms for the demons.
Mom had thought it was a cartoon movie for kids.
I saw Wizards on acid. My first trip. Then we went to an avant-garde Russian dissident art show.

It was an episode of Night Stalker with Darren McGavin. Jack Kolchack(?) the intrepid reporter crosses paths with a Rakshasha, a Tiger demon from India that lures its victims through clouding their mind to perceive the beast as a trusted loved one. The only way to kill it is with a Holy Crossbow and a blessed Bolt.

Knee jerk response was in The Exorcist, when all hell breaks loose during the exorcism ritual,
Father Karris see an image of Regan on the bed transform into a bright white vision of his Mother on the hospital bed, besides the head rotation, the levitating, and satan’s voice thru Regan. Goosebumps.
On further consideration, what was more believable, but caused me to squirm was the scene in Halloween, when Jamie Lee Curtis is running back to the house and Michael Myers is briskly walking after her, and that damn piano is playing that single note in the background, and Jamie is frantically trying to get inside the house and lock the door. He’s soooo close to grabbing her.
Or, after that, when she thinks she killed him, and is sitting in the hallway crying, but in the background, he sits up…because it isn’t over yet.
And then again, goosebumps on the final scene after Donald Pleasance shoot him 5 times in the chest, and Myers falls backwards through the upstairs doorwall, falls over the railing to the ground.
He has to be dead now, right?
Donald walks over to look at the corpse…but it’s not there. He’s gone. Cue the damn piano again.
