In 1878, Isabella Bover, a renowned French model, was carefully selected to embody the spirit of the Statue of Liberty. This iconic statue, a gift from the generous people of France to their American counterparts, was intended to symbolize the enduring friendship and commemorate the momentous occasion of America’s centenary in 1876. Isabella Bover’s captivating presence became the face that would forever grace this monumental masterpiece, representing the shared values of liberty and freedom cherished by both nations.

She looks a hell of a lot better than most photos of women, including relatives from that time.
I think that’s AI, or at least been cleaned up by it.
No old photos had resolution that good.
A handsome woman.
She looks like she’s knows about the tranny storybook hours, and she is not amused.
Gotta be honest, though. She does kinda look like a dude.
I thought so too. If you block the image so you’re looking at just the eyebrows to the nose/lips/chin then it looks male-boned.
Either way, this image is sporting a classic RBF– Resting Bitch Face
Early democrat ?
Nailed it…it’s on purpose.
Never would happen today.
Listen to the crowd laughing at the mild racial epithets they dared not utter themselves. Repressed White identity will burst forth thus.
Yes, pretty lady…Thanks for this…I’d Bover….over and over…
GHOSTBUSTERS
‘ You make this work Libby …. and I’ll spring for a weekend in Las Vegas with the Jolly Green Giant !!!!!”
“The Statue of Liberty is one of the most honored symbols in America. It came to the United States after 20 years of dedication and at a cost of more than $4 million. French sculptor Frederic Bartholdi was inspired to build the enormous monument after seeing the colossi in Egypt. After examining different candidates, he chose his mother as the statue’s model.”
Surprisingly, snopes™ agrees.
“The above-displayed image was created by artist Bas Uterwijk in 2021 as part of a series of “AI (artificial intelligence) portraits” of historical figures. Uterwijk explained his process in an interview with Bored Panda:”
“This image is not a photograph of a person. It is a digital rendering of what the Statue of Liberty might look like if she was a real person. Furthermore, while some have suggested that Isabelle Boyer-Singer (not “Boye-Singer,” as her name is misspelled in an internet meme) was the model for the Statue of Liberty, this has not been verified. The common consensus is that the Statue of Liberty’s face was modeled after sculptor Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi’s mother.”

Too funny- this idiot posts a Snopes link as a rebuttal to “clarify” the facts for us.
Here is a link to an actual picture of Boyer standing next to the face being constructed, also with a profile photo which clearly show the distinctive eye shape/angle and iconic set of the mouth.
It’s not in English text, but I suspect people who go to snopes for truth don’t know a lot of international language/culture except as it’s reported in 30 sec soundbites.

My wife’s much better looking … and twice her age (in the picture).
Fuck you, France! Stick Lady Liberty up your National ASS. Sideways.
What is about to befall you is fucking PAY BACK for that atrocity!
