To confirm, your comments and question was directed at me, correct? If so, I re-read what I posted and honestly, I thought I was pretty clear.
The main point was that there are those out there that have named timeframes, and events, that would happen in a specific timeframe, usually with the next 3-6 months. When the things that were predicted would come, and go, without the SHTF event, they would usually just punt and start down the road on yet another event that is right around the corner.
In my last paragraph, I stated that I know a life changing huge event is closer now than ever. I’m thinking probably this year.
I think at least some, or maybe most of the names I mentioned are probably well-meaning chaps but, they are also making a living off of the fear porn. A few I suspect are grifters or even controlled opposition. (Some of those names I suspect of this I did not mention).
So, in summary, I’m not waiting for nukes to fly to believe this is it. As a Bible believing Christian, I know what must happen during these end days.

Truly, the little guy, or the little group has to wait for absolute chaos. As long as their is some semblance of order, the small group or individual will have to heel to a larger force, in this case TPTB. If a disorganized mess ensues, this all changes and suddenly there is no major force that can be pointed at one target.

No, it is something more than that, IMO. I’ve described it before and the experiences with others affected. Not that there isn’t what you described too, on a more basic level.
My own experience is just looking up at the TV for just a split 2nd and having a fully formed / articulated thought / idea in my mind that had nothing to do with what was on the screen or what they were talking about. One I knew already from introspect was wrong and had rejected previously (very antithetical to my nature / world view even). It wasn’t just a talking point, it was fully articulated.
2nd example is with a cousin I was going out and visiting daily after I dropped the daughters off at work, instead of driving back home.
Now this cousin (and most this side of the family) are pretty good thinkers and rational people that you can sit down and have a conversation with without it devolving into a cluster fuck.
Anyhow, he said something I knew was a talking point (and even that he got it off fox) and we spent some time reasoning and discussing it, and why it was wrong, and before I left he agreed it was wrong also.
Back the next day and he was right back to chirping that idea from the day before like it was the most natural thing in the world. I don’t even think he had a clue what we discussed the day before. And he is certainly not somebody I would consider an NPC, so how much more effective is it on people who are?
Both of these events happened around the 2nd gulf war. Roughly a little over 30 years or so. That was about the time I stopped completely watching TV as such.

Now to keep in mind this was 30 plus years go, what refinements and new technology do they have now?
But would they use it on the general public?
Back when the daughters were in school (same time frame, though probably a little earlier than 1998 give or take) I would get the girls off to school then sit down and watch these programs on Discovery channel that were put out, for probably high school teachers, to use for their class.
