Everyone knows that right wing gun loving organization Pew Research surely skews the data. Right? The charts below paint the true picture of gun violence in the U.S. The homicide by gun rate has declined by over 50% since 1993. Over this time the number of guns owned by Americans has skyrocketed. Wow!!! That doesn’t match the gibberish being spewed by Obama and his gun hating minions.
From 2009 to 2014, the most recent year data are available, the number of gun homicides has hovered around 11,000 and 12,000 per year. And guess where the majority of those homicides occurred? Yep. They occurred in the urban ghettos where young black men shoot other young black men with ILLEGAL guns. Don’t they know they can’t kill with illegally obtained guns? There should be a law. The majority of homicides are committed in cities completely run by Democrats who have the toughest gun laws in the country. The hypocrisy of these liberal Democrat politicians lecturing white Americans about clinging to their guns is breathtaking to behold.
The nation’s overall gun death rate has declined 31% since 1993. This total includes homicides and suicides, in addition to a smaller number of fatal police shootings, accidental shooting deaths and those of undetermined intent. The rate of nonfatal gun victimizations declined in a similar way to the gun death rate, with a large drop in the 1990s – 63% between 1993 and 2000. The decline since then has been more uneven. In 2014, there were 174.8 nonfatal violent gun victimizations per 100,000 people ages 12 and older.
But we know facts don’t matter in left wing America today. You see, a narrative spewed by the liberal mainstream media, corrupt politicians, brain dead celebrities, and believed by public school indoctrinated non-thinkers trumps facts every time. Pew’s own research bears that out. In their 2013 survey, more than half (56%) of Americans said the number of gun crimes had gone up compared with 20 years ago. Another 26% said the number of gun crimes had remained the same, and just 12% said gun crimes had declined.
The power of propaganda, misinformation and outright lies has convinced the majority of Americans that gun violence has been rising, when it has PLUNGED over the last 20 years. Obama and his minions never fail to take advantage of a crisis or mass shooting by an Islamic terrorist. They desperately want to get guns out of the hands of white Americans who can think critically. Whenever a brain dead liberal starts blathering about gun violence, send them the charts below and tell them to learn how to think rather than believe a false narrative that feels good.
