For years, The Vigilant Citizen has been warning against the blatant agenda seeking to sow division in the masses, especially when it comes to race and political affiliation. The unrelenting efforts of the elite to create an ever-widening gap between blacks and whites, liberals and conservatives and even between men and women can be easily observed all over mass media and in the public space. And it is working.

The “hate hoax” perpetrated by Empire actor Jussie Smollett was a disturbing example of the dishonesty and unscrupulous nature of those who are looking to push this agenda. And, at first, it worked perfectly. The event succeeded in generating extreme outrage and animosity in the public space while prompting calls for urgent political action. The story had everything. I mean, Smollett was even wearing a noose around his neck, tapping into sensitive and potentially explosive imagery.

In that passage of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, the protagonist turned antagonist swallows hopelessness and nihilism like an opiate. He does so for this reason: If life is meaningless, then so, too, are regret and guilt. It’s also been said that quote represented Shakespeare’s own view of theater – as all the drama was meant to invoke emotional responses from the audience after a suspension of disbelief had occurred.

In so many ways does the inevitable unfurl like a divine comedy; or a Shakespearean tragedy.  Even now as the tin-foil hat-wearing conspiracy theorists and fake news propagandists in the Mainstream Media, along with their comrades in The Resistance, tear at their clothing and gnash their teeth in the wake of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s gigantic nothing-burger.

The “Hate Crime” Against Jussie Smollet

Downtown Chicago is full of Trump-loving, ski-masked racists. At least, that’s the assumption made by people who believe the incredulous hate crime tale of Jussie Smollett.

Smollett is a gay black man who stars in the popular black television series Empire. He is also a rapper. Smollett claims he was beaten in the early morning on January 29 in Chicago by two white men in ski masks who recognized him as “that faggot Empire nigger.” His two alleged assailants knocked him down, tied a noose they just happened to have with them around his neck, and then poured an unidentified substance onto him. During the alleged assault, Smollett’s attackers proclaimed that downtown Chicago was “MAGA country.”
